  1. As an option for Drain, GMs can allow characters to buy a slightly different form of the Power known as Suppress. Suppress is Drain with the Limitation Costs Endurance (to maintain; -½); it’s considered a Constant Power. This means the character has to continue to pay END every Phase to keep the Suppressed Characteristic or Power at its Suppressed level (doing this is an Action that takes no time). So, taking the limitation of costs end to maintain makes the drain into suppress. Uncontrolled, as stated in the book means the power continues but only for as long as there is end in the pool. This end is assigned to it when first used and the power uses that end to maintain. Suppress simply keeps drawing end until shut off or end runs out.
  2. In the 6e books, it gives a range on def/rdef for characters based on points or level of the character. For example, the low powered super heroic (300 points) shows 12-15/6-10. My question is, and it may sound newbish, does the 12-15 range include the 6-10 resistant defenses or is the total defense range a combination of the two (18-25)?
  3. I use several mafia families and street gangs for trash mobs. Though there is a mafia family more in line with supers and a thug group that uses advanced weapons they stole from the Knight Watch (police meant to deal with supers) I have one secret society that operates in the shadows but our group hasn't come across them yet
  4. For the fourth weapon I chose a thrown grenade that blinds and causes acid burn. I built it as a compound power with a 4d6 flash and a 2d6 penetrating constant EB
  5. I liked arsenal. I know it's a DC toon but don't care.
  6. DJ To his blaster and assault rifle he can give: armor piercing, selective area effect radius (think smart cluster bomb), and auto fire 3. To his assault knife he can give: armor piercing and auto fire 3. I am thinking of a,4th weapon but drawing blanks
  7. He isn't a dark champions character simply because his ability to alter weapons is more mutation than tech or gadget.
  8. The concept I think is cool. He is a former merc/hitman. He carries a blaster pistol, an assault rifle, and a specially made knife. He is trained martial artist. His abilities allow him to add advantages to his weapons (bought as naked advantages) he can add these advantages to any weapon he touches.
  9. AARES Legion: AARES stands for Advanced Armored Recombinant Enhancement System. The system is a collection of artificially intelligent nanite computers whose sole function is to upgrade and enhance mutations, no matter how slight. In addition, the system has an external armor component that is designed for strategic combat enhancement. Members: Bastille: The leader of the AARES Legion. He wears the most advanced form of AARES, the AARES X. Bastille is a mutant with sound manipulation. HIs AARES system enhances this mutation and the external component amplifies ambient sound around him to fuel his abilities. In addition, the suit has an array of offensive and defensive capabilities. Brigade: A stealthy assassin before joining the Legion, a deadly killing machine after. Brigade had a prenatural ability to hide in shadows and stalk his targets. The AARES he wears enhances that to near perfect invisibility and stealth. Additionally, the external system can produce a number of hand held weapons fitting the job at hand such as his Guisare (sp). The external armor also allows him to carry a variety of specialized weapons such as smoke grenades, knock out gas, and concusive grenades. Bastian: A mutant with wings to fly and a metabolism to match. He was the first of Bastille's success stories with the AARES system. His AARES enhances his mutant metabolism, allowing him to project bolts of bio-energy from his fingertips. His wings now contain hidden nanite stores which can form into sharp, exploding "feathers". In addition, the external component enhances his eyesight, hearing, and general awareness. Mother Mayhem: She is the odd ball out. Not named after any military unit, she is the tactical and mechanical advisor to Bastille. She is an old lady (60s) with an extreme knowledge of mechanics, electronics, computers, artificial intelligence, and robotics. It was with her help that Bastille was able to create AARES. The nanites do not increase any mutation in her. Instead, they grant her the vitality of a 20 year old and longevity by repairing failing cells. She does wear a version of the AARES external component, however. This gives her an armored exterior while still looking like normal "old lady" clothing. Additionally, Mother Mayhem uses a versatile cannon of her own creation. This cannon can create bolts of force energy, entangle through a sticky glue substance, fire explosive rockets, or act as a paralysis gun. She often times hangs around areas where the Legion is active, pretending to be a bag lady or other such type... when the fight goes bad for the Legion, she simply pulls her cannon out of the shopping cart of garbage and... well, heroes just beware...
