  1. Re: from little plot seeds, mighty games do grow: Share your ideas! This one is primarily VIPER but does include the IHA and it works as a great way to introduce the IHA's militant side. Breaking and Rescuing The PCs are alerted to a break in at a high tech research facility. When they get there they find that VIPER has broken in, but strangely they've only left a small rear guard, there is no sign of the rest of the agents. Either by searching the facility or interrogating a VIPER agent they find out the rest of them are in the secret sub-basement. They find much heavier resistance here, but also a lot of downed VIPER agents and an other type of grunt they don't recognize. They come to a large lab with a lot of VIPER agents and a number of VIPER scientists and Medical agents too. They are gathered around a large vertical tube, before the PCs get a chance to interfere the scientists open the tube revealing Freon! The medical personal get him out of the tank and on to a stretcher and start treating him. And thats when the Minuteman robots crash in through the ceiling! Now its VIPER and the PCs versus the IHA! Make sure you have enough Minutemen that the PCs need help to take them down. And have Freon wake up in mid battle for extra fun!

  3. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... Two PCs are talking about their powers. Champion has a power suit and Twilight uses magic. Champion: Okay now prove that was magic. Twilight: It doesn't really work that way. Champion: I could go on wining this argument all day but I want to check out the hotel.
  4. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... Hyper: Okay, how many dice do I roll If I just dropped half the building on her?
  5. Re: Order of the Stick I think that its Mr. Scruffy, Shojo's cat.
  6. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... No that didn't set him off but when my fellow Henchmen taunted him about it that set him off.
  7. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... Here this comic should fit wight in. http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0016.html
  8. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. It was wholly meant as a compliment along with some moaning about how crappy my drawing ability is.
  9. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. That is by far your ugliest sketch Storn...and I can't even draw that well.
  10. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... Upon leaving the freezer Pog, the miniture dragon, remarked: "Did I survive the nuclear apocolypse? Am I your new God?"
  11. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. You know we throw enough praise at Storn that in a fantasy world he'd be a god by now.
  12. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... WHAT?!! You don't know who Zoe, Jayne, and Mal are? Tell me you are kidding! Tell me you've seen Firefly and Serentiy, tell me that you curse the Fox network for depriving us of Joss Whedon's masterpiece of science fiction! If you aren't joiking I'm going to have to ask you to move away from the computer, go buy the complete series of Firefly, watching then buy the Serentiy movie and then watch it. And until you do don't yu show your avatar around these parts! This place is for true geeks!
  13. Re: Order of the Stick I just stumbled across this webcomic yesterday. I devoured the archieve and now I want more. It reminds me of 8bit Theater a little, especially with how similar 8bit's Black Mage is with Order Of The Stick's Belkar. Another great fantasy webcomic (once you get into the story which takes like 10 strips or so) is Dominic Deegan Oracle For Hire. Read it now. http://www.dominic-deegan.com/
  14. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. I love the man right after the women in the group shot. That picture is my favorite and it works perfectly for a character of mine! Rep for you Storn!
  15. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... Well its an OIF unless the opponent has tentacles...
  16. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... So we finished one of the games we've been playing for a while. In this one, which we call Pantheon, we all play a god of some thing. They are 350pt characters in a fantasy world where the mightiest of the mighty is maybe 250pts. Our Characters are: Jol God Of Health and Vitality (Mainly various Aid and Healing powers) Cor'na'kon God Of Flame and Ash (Typical Fire Powers) Fheo (Me) God Of Chaos (A Big Honkin VPP) Cloran God Of Secrets and Truth (Mental Powers) So we are inside the tree that is at the center of the universe. We are trying to stop our enemies from releasing Time from her chains. Our main enemy is the God of Hate, Jorkash. Allied with Jorkash is the God of Magic and the God of Mountains. If they release Time she will side with them to fufill a vow she made when she was imprisoned. If she gets free then we lose and Jorkash will get to remake the universe how he wishes. The battle is fierce, we stand against and defeat more then twenty monsters (which we later found out were built on 500pts apiece!) and we have taken out both the God of Mountains and the God of Magic. Jorkash remains standing. He spent most of the battle (which took 12-15 turns to get to this point) casting his Wall of Blackest Hate (A doozy of a FW). We coordinate our attacks and we still can't break through it. The GM says we have ten minutes (Real World, he even set an egg timer) to figure out a way to get past it or bring it down. So we are all searching around trying to find something to use, stones of power, weapons, anything. Time is getting low when I have an idea. I use my VPP to create a power that will dispel his Force Wall for sure (200d6 Dispel using standard effect) but will also kill my character and make it impossible to revive him. I cast it and while my character is being rent from the universe I say "Jorkash, my brothers will have a moment of your time. "
  17. Re: Weekend Warriors -- Campaign Log Donkey Punch? Thats just wrong. Rep for these great write-ups though. EDIT: Once I can rep you again that is.

  19. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... We just defeated the last group of guards that were preventing us from getting inside the temple of the void where we can destroy this evil amulet we've been safeguarding until we can destroy it for 2 years (in game). The guards were tough and we were already weak from fighting the other guards and such. Krage (Wizard): "Now we can finally destroy the amulet...Where is the amulet? Gora what did you do with it?" Gora (Barbarian):You told me to keep it safe. Peter (Paladin):So what do you do with it? Gora: I put it on. Gora is a PC. Was a PC I should say.
  20. Re: Low recoil gun-fu Is there a way I can rep Tim Bradley?
  21. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... In our Sci-Fi game I play a robot who is based off of HK-47 from Knights Of The Old Republic. I fill the combat expert role. Anyways we found a ship adrift in space the people on it where alive but there engines had been destroyed when they fought off a pirate attack. The pirate group was one we had been up against before so we helped the stranded ship. We got them to a hidden place and gave them what they would need to fix their engines. Then we went back to where we found them to salvage what we could from the wrecked pirate ship. Long story short we get captured. We get taken to Captain Vess and he starts into a long speech about how he should kill us now for helping his enemies and how he still owes us for what we did to him last time. Then he finishes by saying if we tell him where the other ship is he'll let us go and call it even and forgive us for defying him. The he was waiting expectently for our answer. Me: I'm sorry, I turned off my audio receptors, were you saying something?
  22. Re: Weekend Warriors -- Campaign Log How does your wife feel about you trying to get your character laid while you are on vaction with her?
  23. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Your character's potential wife is a looker, congrats.
  24. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... In our FtF game my buddy Dave plays a character called Jacob. Jacob is the group's nominative leader, but Dave, when he's low on caffine, zones in and out, so he oftens misses things. This happend on Saturday. Jacob (IC): Okay here is the plan. You three are group A, you get into position on the roof across the street, wait for their signal, and stay out of sight. You two are group B, head in through the front entrance and distract them. We group C, go in through the side door and take the security room. Then we radio group B who takes the guards out. Thats group A's signal to attack. Everybody clear on what their doing? Hanse(OOC): Yeah, because we decided what to do three minutes ago.
