  1. Hmm. SpaceX website lists the launch as being Saturday at around 7:00a CT. I wonder if SpaceX hasn't updated their site for the Friday launch or if the Youtuber has the wrong day?

Edit: Elon Musk Tweeted (X'ed?) today at 1:17pm that they need to replace a grid fin actuator so the launch was postponed to Saturday. So, the SpaceX website is the correct date and time assuming we can trust Elon.

    Edit2: Here's a link to the tweet: https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1725231694645461403

I wasn't aware of any case law that covered game mechanics. Thanks. Can you point me to any of the cases? I'd love to read the decisions.

  3. Update: I stayed home from work yesterday (4/1). I was feeling pretty bad and running a fever of 100°F. But by the late afternoon it had dropped just about 99°F and was normal by that evening. I feel pretty good, now. I just had one bad day and even it wasn't too bad (I've had worse with just the Flu). So, all things considered it wasn't too bad.

Now I just need to figure out how many points of Life Support I now have...

In the books, Arwen was less involved in the War of the Ring than, say, Galadriel, but she was given more to do in the movies, which is irksome.

    *cough* Glorfindel *cough*

That guy can't get any love from anyone. Bakshi replaced him with Legolas in the War of the Ring back in the 70's and now Jackson with Arwen. I also didn't like the fact that the movie depicted her as causing the deluge that swept away the Ringwraiths instead of Elrond and Gandalf. It made her seem way more powerful that she was (in the "books").

In fact, if the goal was to have another strong female character in the movies,

I think it was this exactly. Eowyn was certainly the strong female character of the "books". Unfortunately, she doesn't really appear until the second "book". I suspect the thought was they felt they couldn't wait that long to show a strong female character.

*I used "books" and "book" in quotes because Tolkien never intended for there to be three books. He submitted it to the publisher as 1 book who then broke it up into 3 books (probably for length).

  5. I think Rocket described my body perfectly in the same movie. "[I] look like melted ice cream."

Well the side effects are starting to kick in. A couple of hours ago I started feeling feverish and right after I got pretty severe chills, although they're getting better. The fatigue is kicking in, too. My arm's sore (no worse than the first one, though). I'd give anything to not be here at work. I'm going to ask my boss if I can go home (he's really cool about things like that). But I also had a doctor's appointment (my regular checkup) today, too. I'm waiting to hear back from them to see if I should reschedule or not.

It sucks, but at least it's doing what it's supposed to be doing.

Just thought that some of you that haven't had either shot or just the first one might like some more info on what it's like the second time around.

  6. My arm hasn't fallen off, no extra heads and no superpowers. Rats! I was really hoping for superpowers. Of course, I'd probably get something like telepathically talking to fish...

Although, now that I think about it, if that ability came with a body like Jason Mamoa I could go for it.

Right now, I look like Thor........in Avengers Endgame.

That's one heck of a agglutinative language! Do you know from which Original Nation language it comes?

Just curious...I studied Linguistics for three years...for fun (yeah, I'm weird--but you probably already knew that :)).

It also suggests a "variant of Haymaker called Offensive Haymaker. It works just like a standard Haymaker, but instead of a -5 DCV penalty it has a -5 OCV penalty. This

This bit has me confused. So, I make an Offensive Haymaker "representing taking extra time to aim precisely" and incur a -5 OCV penalty...making it harder to hit? It seems to me taking extra time to aim should make it easier to hit.

    Just sayin'...
