  1. If they're worried about Urlan possibly being a racist (which I don't think that he is, but each GM should tweak these things to fit the group after all), they could just complete the contract AS AGREED and still share the details of just how illegal the chips are with ESE. Especially the subjects of the three prototype chips that they had not kept properly secure... To be honest, Inkubus only sided with Global on this one because he figured that he had a half-decent chance of getting into Ms Winter's pant. He was, of course, recursively correct in this regard.
  2. Before anyone asks, no I am not in this game.
  3. Ah, Mind Probe for fun and profit. Now, if only the rest of the team would remember that it's much easier to probe a conscious mind. But I suppose that I should take solace in the fact that they at least remember that it does need to be alive.
  4. Clarification, we weren't using an Astral Gate. We were impressing upon the Spirit of Loch Ness to use it's Astral Gateway power for us.
  5. Cassius was the only Chaos Marine, but we all started as Heretics as per the Black Crusade character creation rules.
  6. I am really going to regret having created that chapter for the Deathwatch campaign... looking over the things that they can do and their preferred methods of engagement, taking them on during any Black Crusade is going to be a nightmare. A Chapter where even the tactical marines have a level of acumen that makes the Inquisition suspect them of being psykers with Diviniation powers? Owie. But I'm not sure how the "Loyalists" are going to react to Cassius' apotheosis. The may take exception to it. Then again, I had almost managed to get them to think of Chaos as just another resource, so who knows.
  7. I made a few acquisition rolls with the GM after Dhroz and the other players left. Cassius has been gifted with: 1) An Asteroid Stronghold with 20 interconnected chambers. 2) A Personalized Sigil (8 DoS) 3) Abaddon's Approval (6 DoS)
  8. Yeah, ask anyone who has GM'd for me. I tend to put the peices together a lot earlier than they were hoping.
  9. Indeed there is, fortunately myself and another player have been playing Shadowrun since 1st edition, so we're pretty good at being able to help the GM update things on the fly. Which is good because we play Inkubus and Labrat. The two characters who are arguably most responsible for running the game off of the module in question's rails.
  10. I can answer that for you, BlueCloud. (For the curious, it is I who plays Inkubus.) We're using the Shadowrun 4th edition ruleset, mainly because it's the most up-to-date set that we have a large number of books for and the GM is running through a large number of the splat-book adventures. Although he did an excellent job of winging it at the end of our last session, so I look forward to the occassional home-brewed adventure.
  11. I'm almost tempted to go easy on Jrska. Almost. But then I remember how much of a bastard Vitas is.
  12. From my G.I. TransformerTech campaign. Discussing G1 Unicron Wrench (OOC): I’m just imagining Orson Wells crying out “I’m hungry for balls!” GM: You and your naming system. “The Magic Hippie Space Crystal.” Crash (OOC): It’s short and helps me remember what it is. The base’s rumour mill often speculates on Wrench’s sexuality, usually positing that she’s either a lesbian, or more likely robo-sexual. (She even calls Perceptor, “Percy.”) Crash (OOC): Wrench just get’s along with cybertronians. Sunshine (OOC): No surprises there… GM: Ooh, me-ow! GM: There is a sickening squeal of metal grinding against metal as the Apollo comes to rest between two pieces of Cybertronian… architecture? Geography? You can’t tell. Sunshine: That looks horribly suggestive. GM: A classic example of why there is ALWAYS time for lubricant. Crash (OOC): Bad organs, back in your meatsack! Wrench (OOC): Ladies and Gentleman, (Crash’s player’s) approach to first aid. Crash (OOC): I so want to build a character who heals through intimidation, now. While exploring a partially revitalized, subterranean (subcybertronean?) section of Cybertron. Wrench: There’s life here… Crash: I know. It went for my leg. Discussing Agnes Knitt from Terry Pratchet’s Discworld. GM: She IS Dolby surround sound. The PCs find an abandoned mine, resulting in them salvaging a very big hammer (a double jack), a mining pick and two energized augers. Crash (OOC): It’s time to get our murder-hobo on. Player for the next game was calling his brother to see if he was coming and got routed to voice-mail. Player: Need Dwarf. Bye.
  13. This explains the headache that I had on Monday.
  14. Sorry for the thread necromancy, but this little gem has been on Susano's site for a while... http://www.devermore.net/surbrook/adaptationswesternanimation/kimpossible/kpkim.html
  15. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... Given that Aldous has been described as a living engine of death and destruction, well done to Johnson at taking down the undead version.
  16. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... We're playing a Call of Cthulhu printed adventure. I refuse to believe that things can ever look "up" in any way except "belly up."
  17. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...
  18. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... Actually, I think that it falls to the Orders Hospitaler of the Adepta Sororitas for most, but in MacIan's case, it's the Chaplain's duty. Remember, though, that the insane are a cherished commodity in the Imperium, due to the defense that madness provides against the horrors of the 41st Millennium. Provided that their madness still leaves them relatively lucid, that is.
  19. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... I play Brother Telemachus. I also play Aldous Quinn and Seneschal Jaranthine Hammerin. Formerly, I played Juliano Givetti (a.k.a. the Amazing Julius. As in "It's amazing he lasted as long as he did with only the default in Dodge.") and Arch-Militant Malakai Tubreau.
  20. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... No. It would be the Vessel of Rogue Trader Bel Ingeneri' date=' the [i']Sycorax[/i]. Personally, I'm concerned about a vessel named after a Witch who was so powerful that "she could control the moon", enslaved the spirits of an entire island and raised her son in the worship of a dark god. (Plays Aldous Quinn and Jaranthine Hamerin).
  21. Re: GUess the group members Okay, Barbara got some of the columns mixed up, so here's the fix. I've also included a numbers column, so it's easier to make your guess. For Example. 1-1-1-1-1-1-N 2-2-2-2-2-2-N 3-3-3-3-3-3-Y 4-4-4-4-4-4-N 5-5-5-5-5-5-Y 6-6-6-6-6-6-N So, post your guesses as to which attributes match up, and which of these characters could cast spells when they first entered this mystic campaign where the PC's are members of a secret cabal which is a cell of a larger, mystic organization. Hell, add in a guess as to how many do now!
  22. Re: List Your CO Heroes! 1. Another "Captured Force Field". This is actually the Telekinetic Shield. Very Handy. 2. As with any good Superhero genre game, there's plenty of objects to damage or use as improvised weapons. 3. Some enemies can be pretty intimidating, like when a Steel Serpent sneaks up on you. 4 & 5. A couple of flying shots. I really like how unrestricted the game feels and looks.
  23. Re: List Your CO Heroes! I just thought that I would swing in and in-game shots of King Snake. 1. One supergroup that has WAY too much time on it's hands. 2. I had to unlock the "shellie" constume piece. My main gripe with the game is that not only do I have to go out of my way to get "blastery" gear, but even after I do, it's SFX is still conventional. 3. A Puslon Rifle. See 2. 4. A Sniper Rifle. I can't even alter this unless I keep an alternate sniper rifle equipped. 5. King Snake activating his "captured prototype Force Field". I really love how you're not limited to your power framework abilities, but if you stick within it, you get the higher tier abilities earlier.
  24. Re: List Your CO Heroes! I'm currently playing three, all @Fireleaper, as it's a shared account. Leatherback Overload and the one I'm playing primarily right now, King Snake
  25. Re: Military Promotions Technically, the war is over. But this is the period where the RDF is engaged in mop-up exercises and R&D for the eventual expedition to Tirol. Of course Zentraedi activities in the Arginitine and Indochina quadrants and the Arkansas Protectorate, along with EBSIS activity around the globe, the RDF tends to still see a lot of combat. Yeah, I own every one of the old Robotech books except Lancer's Rocker's (which was just silly). But I'm using the fanbase compiled reconciled ranks because Palladium's version made even less sense. But I'll correct one of my previous statements. The minimum rank of a Veritech Fighter Pilot is Corporal. But the interlock system doesn't use experience levels (one of the reasons that I am using it), and I'm trying to keep their promotions based on achievement and, to a lesser degree, time in service. I am looking into the British military's "Officer's Joint Appraisal Form (OJAR)" which seems similar to the US promotion point system (yes, the military uses XP ), but instead of being based on education (in a "highly deployable" unit? Sucks to be you!), it scores across several areas, in particular Professional Qualities, Management, Leadership, Officer Qualities, Operational Experience and Motivation. Fortunately, the RDF doesn't have an up-or-out policy due to falling recruitment, but even if they did, I could implement SOCOM's rank-lock.
