  1. Re: Alternate Sexualities in Champions and Supers settings

    .

We have an in canon fraternal twin brother/sister villain team that are involved in a long standing relationship involving sex magic, demons, bondage gear and, most importantly, EACH OTHER! We have it in print that they are having sex.

I'm probably going to regret this, but who are you referring to?

  2. I am trying to remember the older versions of the Champions.

The one before the current (4th edition I think) was Defender, Solitaire, Seeker, a female energy projector who was an MD in her secret ID (she might have been named Quantum), and an exiled alien prince who was their brick.

Before that there was a version with Defender, Jaguar, and 3 others.

    Can anyone recall the names?

  3. If a super hero who pays points for his weapons finds himself wishing to use a weapons taken from an enemy (or friend or neutral), as a "one off" thing, does he need to have the appropriate weapon familiarity to avoid penalties?

For example, the hero has a blaster rifle, but in a fight against Viper Super Villains (supported by agents) he is "disarmed". Can he grab one of the agents' blaster rifles and use it normally even if he has not taken weapons familiarity?

(It is my understanding that he can.)

    Thank you.

  4. Re: Your favorite champions character

Fun to play would be BRUTE

(Stop me if you have heard this origin before). A Rocket Scientist who was would mutate into a superstrong neanderthal Brick. He would run around saying things like BRUTE SMASH. In his human ID he had an INT of 30...

Anyways, so one day we are running through Island of Dr D. Dr D is stoped, but he has launched his satalite, he will still win...I pass the GM a paper. He rolls some dice, He describes me walking over ot a council and smashing it. The players at the table were "How did you know which one to destroy"...I observed that I was a rocket scientist..."No your in your Brute form...your an idiot right now"...I politely informed him that I had an int of 30, and a ton of science skills...They informed me AGAIN that I had been in my super strong form and did not have access to those abilities. That is when I told them about a small 5 point psych lim I had "Likes to play elaborite Practical jokes", and that when I got in my Brute form I retained all of my intelegence. It had been a six month campeign up to that point...I, the player, had to dodge Pizza crusts, empty soda cans, and paper plates...

    That's GR8!!

My favorite RP character is/was from a Chivalry & Sorcery Game back in the late 80's. She was a young mage who pretended to be a young man when out on missions (she was still an apprentice, so her master gave her missions), not only did none of the other characters ever figure out she and "her brother" were the same person, only one of the other players ever did!

BTW, her master was Simon bar Yakov. On the first mission the group did for him, at one point someone said: "You know why we're doing this? Because Simon said."

I have used real cities, but later made my own: Earle City, which is situated where Crescent City in Northern California is. The real city is quite small, I made a major metropolis there.

    So Steve wasn't 4F?

Actually, here is a varient on this: Steve Rogers volunteered for the "super soldier" program, but it was only partly successful. It made Steve into a healthy man, with above average stats, but only at the level of "competent" person, not heroic. So Steve was allowed to joint the army, after discharge was hired as in the previous alternate.

Meanwhile, they continued working on the "super soldier" program. The Nazi agent didn't try to steal it yet, because he hoped for it to be perfected first.

So, does it get perfected, and if so, who becomes Captain America?

Benjamin Grimm' date=' instead of becoming the pilot for an expedition into space, went on a spelunking expedition which discovered an underground world where he had the good fortune to stumble into rescuing Kala, the queen of one of the underworld realms from one of her rivals. He made quite a career out of queen rescuing and tempestuous romance. She declared him her champion, and armed and armoured him with her post-Atlantean technology, but he often found himself stripped down and relying his fists and his guts. Still when surface world heros came down, he ended up getting "Champion" as a pseudonym, even after he finally married Kala and was crowned her consort.[/quote']

So are you changing Ben's back story so he wasn't a test pilot, or just that he decided to go spelunking one day?

I can't find the other threads so I'll do this one and then blog it.

Reed Richards: Attempting to save his room-mate's life, Reed Richard's face was scarred and this made him more shy and reclusive. He watched as his room-mate went on to become the world-famous "Viktor" and chose himself to become the opposite. Using his inventions, he became the unseen protector of the world as mysterious Invisible Man.

Only problem is that Victor wasn't his room-mate, football hero Ben Grim was. Victor was down the hall.
