  1. Re: Iron-Man Movie! There is one big problem with using Dr. Doom. The Iron Man movie will be from Paramount, and the Fantastic Four movie was from Fox. And never the twain shall meet. Same reason Spider-Man (Sony) won't show up in this movie. Only DC movies have the potential for this type of cross-over, since they are all owned by Warner Brothers.
  2. Re: Concepts you wish your players would play I would like my Players to play: Truely heroic PCs. People in the Superman/Spider-Man mentality. "With great power comes great responsibility." "I do what I do because someone has to, and I can." That sort of thing. This is common in thecomics, but less so in the games I've run. Even Batman, when you come down to it, doesn't really do what he does for revenge. He does it so that other ten-year-old kids don't have to go through what he went through. I would also like to see some legacy characters. I actually ran a game of legacy characters once, and it was one of the best, longest-running games I can remember. Even in that one, though, the players didn't take on ther exact identities of their predecessors (it was more like an adult version of the Teen Titans), and that's what I would like to see.
  3. Re: Namedropping Bruce Lee: How obvious is this one? Possibly the greatest martial artist in living memory. How many comic book MAs are based (at least in part) on him anyway? Motivation: See any of his movies. Those who cannot protect themselves need a champion. Elvis: Superhuman charisma would make him a natural team leader. Plus any of the female villains would be too busy throwing their underwear at him to fight . Add in some martial arts (the real Elvis did study karate) and maybe a vocal-based sonic blast. Motivation: The real Elvis had an interest in law enforcement and was even made an honorary agent of the FBI. Add in how famous well-known supers are, and you've got all the motivation you need.
  4. Re: The Things I've Learned Playing Team Leader... Half the team doesn't recognize your position. The other half will blame you for everything that goes wrong.
  5. OK, y'all know the rules by now. I'll start: No plan, no matter how brilliant, will be followed by your team. Halk of them weren't even listening anyway.
  6. Re: WOTD Heroes I think Luminary is pretty simple. A being made of solid light. Able to fly up to light-speed (sfx of teleport), project energy blasts, maybe desolid, change environment (dark to light), possibly some other powers.
  7. Re: One-Trick Pony Campaigns Seems to me that Bricks would be the best character type to play in such a campaign. After all. you could justify super-strength, high defenses, super-leap, and all sorts of LS powers under one discription.
  8. Re: The thing's I've learned playing a Brick... The Strength of Bricks varies from one campaign to the next. What the player considers a brick may be much stronger or weaker than what the GM considers a Brick. Make sure to check eith the GM before designing your character.
