  1. Re: Announcing Kazei 5, Second Edition Great Book! Fun seting!
  2. Re: Mass Effect Campaign Setting Nice find on that D6 resource. It is a great guide for players to read who might not have played the original game. Also it covers all the ground rules pretty well. Heroifiing it is much easier from this starting point.
  3. Re: 6th Edition Character Sheet I will Third This. If it helps
  4. Re: 6th Edition Character Sheet Love it. It is clean and crisp and al the important information is easily accessible right where you need it. All commonly variable stats are together BOD / Stun / END so you dont have to jump around the page, I'll take it as is. Is there a HD template?
  5. Re: Skill vs. Skill matrix? Prestidigitator, Does the CSV you put together consider auto failure and auto success or is ti based exclusively on margin of success?
  6. Re: Fortune favours the brave Good to know thanks
  7. Re: 6e Discussion: Combat Values But then again, with that, why target them at all if they don't mean that much... adjust Characteristics is not really that attractive now anymore... except maybe STR and Body.
  8. Re: 6E: Weaponmaster, Deadly Blow, and Killing dice
  9. Re: Fortune favours the brave That is why I turned it in to a Faith power instead of luck. Personally luck is in the dice of the player. If the player thinks his character is a lucky shot, well CSL's vs cover or vs hit-locations or whatever to luckily hit the right spot. Or any other enhanced skill, power, etc... luck is just SFX in my book. So I appreciate your view Sean. But as far as adding or subtracting to dice, I like the Idea of a finite random limited availability points to play with as written in the second faith section. SL's with activation don't really do it for me. I like the mechanic for emulating open ended rare occurring all or nothing powers like my faith build.
  10. Re: Fortune favours the brave That's what I get for having too many tabs open and trying to read them all. Sorry for the mix up. Glad you like it, any comments appreciated as I am in the world building process now and this hasn't seen light yet.
  11. Re: 6E: Weaponmaster, Deadly Blow, and Killing dice Your statements are all very true. Guess it was just misplaced and then over incorporated by players.
  12. Re: 6E: Weaponmaster, Deadly Blow, and Killing dice I thought it was under-priced too. I have had to seriously control, ban or increase its cost depending on the campaign. I know GM's need to police their game balance, but it shouldn't be a balancing act to get a core rule to work properly.
  13. Re: Taking Surbrook's Stuff website to the next level Bump, Would love to help, but im in the middle of world building for a campaign while in another... I cant afford to put more time in to Role playing if I plan on eating, sleeping and doing all those nasty things you just cant put aside.
  14. Re: Sixth Edition Showcase #8: APG Goodies Great optional rules, I have run in to problems with these more than once before. Got to love it. So now I am anxious for two books, this is cheating...
  15. Re: Sixth Edition Showcase #7: Damage Over Time and Time Limit Great changes. Miss the sample page, but hey ever Fred deserves a break . Keep the goodies flowing! I am seriously enjoying most of the changes.
  16. Re: [Alera - Furies of Calderon] Advice on Summoning/Elemental Ally Sorry my bad. I meant Susceptibility and consider damage dice as drain to Air powers.
  17. Re: Sixth Edition Showcase #6: Defense Powers I cant stop praising the desgign philosofy of simplification and folding of powers in to basic constructs with clearer advantages. Might be a tad more work for some builds but it makes it less confusing so overall bulding time should drop. Love it! Keep it coming. So when are Pre-Orders?
  18. Re: [Alera - Furies of Calderon] Advice on Summoning/Elemental Ally Vulnerability to Salt Drains xd6 AP
  19. Re: Fortune favours the brave I dont mind people not liking my Ideas, however knowing why would be interesting. Is it the general concept, the mechanics? Any suggestions? What turns you off about it?
  20. Re: [Alera - Furies of Calderon] Advice on Summoning/Elemental Ally Help me with chapter and context I have the ebooks in my blackberry so page does me no good. However I clearly remember that they do improve anything metalic on them as well as being able to "find weakness" in oponens metalic arms and armor. It actually hapens in the book. I wont ruin anything for you, but I believe Maximus could just as easily be an unknown bastard, uncle bernard is a Stead holder, wo then becomes count but could easily be abit higher in status if furrycrafting relate dirrectly to power. Not to mention you could easily loose your status, but your power wouldnt go with it. Atleast not all of it. Since you would probably loose some furries that belong the place you rule or what not. I agree here, the barbarians don't seem to have a particular amrtial art, but how avbout the Canim, have you goten to them yet? They are somewhere in the 3rd book. I am sure there would have to be more than one school of sword fighting lying arround. I am actually integating them all slightly difrent in my campaign but the essence is the same, and the culture extremely similar. I liked the whole concept quite a bit. Since you are currently reading them it would help if you could use your fresh mind to take notes of important stuff like powers used, status, organizations. I will probably read them all again to get ready for the final book in november anyway. Take care
  21. Re: Thread Linkage: New Power Ideas Sorry my bad I went over that again. I thought your figures were based of the Gram so 1/10000 for decigrams seemd off but i have re read both posts
  22. Re: Thread Linkage: New Power Ideas Scale post http://www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=67139 says the original post is corrected for changes in the following posts, but it doesn't seem to be the case. Mind taking a second look?
  23. Re: [Alera - Furies of Calderon] Advice on Summoning/Elemental Ally All crafting is visible by other craters of the same element, I would consider it common enough to be one of the 3 senses required by visibility. Furies do not have to be manifest for power to function. My point was that not all crafters can manifest a furry. Those that cant manifest are limited in their power scope. But a furry need not be manifest to use any level of power. Yeah i was considering limited endurance, END pools would break the feeling of exhaustion that comes from crafting. I was thinking talent for base power and perk to match, because politics also define social power not just fury crafting. Packages will make your players life so much easier. Earth crafters can influence calm and languid feelings that calm animals and tend to put people in the mood. I'm including them in a certain way in my campaign. So I would appreciate any thing you can share.
