  1. Deathwish Vigilante in my supers campaign in Boston. Jury is out on whether he is a hero or villain.
  2. That was the worst Flash episode in a long, long time, IMO. Representing the speed force as people who interact with the Flash was goofy and seemed to be used for some forced Barry melodrama. Of course, I never read a single Flash comic so I don't have the perspective that regular readers have on the nature and aspect of the "speed force".
  3. Oh hey guys. How did you come up with your 'handle' (forum name)? Its my handle forma hockey forum where I have been active for, uhhh...a long time. A "Double minor" is commonly astick infraction that causes loss of blood and/or chicklets. 138 is from the Misfits "We Are 138". What was the first tabletop RPG you played? Advanced Dungeons and Dragons, 1st Edition. What was the first tabletop RPG you GMed? Same. What are you currently playing/GMing? Pathfinder (running two games, playign in two games) and Hero System 5th Edition (starting that sucker back up) ...wow. Yeah. doubleminor138 is not my handle here. It's my handle everywhere else, basically. Thank Grond Its Friday. Shigeru was the name of my NPC samurai in my long-running jidai-geki Hero Game. He died.
  4. Re: What Have You Watched Recently? I finaly got aroudn to watching the first CRIMSON BAT film. As expected, it drew a lot of inspiration (and stole some specific scenes) from ZATOICHI. But it was fun anyway.
  5. Re: What Have You Watched Recently? Wow. I watched thet video years ago. Its awesome and I believe it was a very, very early show of theirs.
  6. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine Pretty sure she'd have made it into mine.
  7. Re: What Have You Watched Recently? Diary of the Dead. It was good, but the "film within a film" angle, a-la Cloverfield, Blair Witch Project and The Last Broadcast is worn the heck out.
  8. Re: What Have You Watched Recently? Yeah, I stopped cold around that time, too. Working on the last DVD for the first season of X-Files right now, then its on to season 2. Also, Olympics. How can you not watch at least some of it? Watched all of the women's all-around gymnastics. Amazing stuff.
  9. Re: What Have You Watched Recently? The Gorgon , an old and not terribly good Hammer film, despite the casting of both Peter Cuishing and Christopher Lee. Dark City : The Director's Cut . I liked it betetr the first time and I am reminded why I haven't watching it since it was first released. Cool in some ways, but overwrought and sometimes nonsensical. I couldn't figure out how it was different from the first version.
  10. Re: What Have You Watched Recently? Hancock. Sucked. Wathcing the first season of X-Files on DVD. My memory of it is so foggy. It has its ups and downs and its interesting to watch everyone work so hard and reach to find what works and what doesn't. Watched Fight Club over the weekend. Another one I hadn't see since it orignally came out on video. That movie is LSD hell, but I still found myself silently admiring the whole Tyler Durdan plot to blow up credit card companies.
  11. Re: What Fantasy/Sci-Fi book have you just finished? Please rate it... Yeah, not my best review ever. But I would advocate trying it.
  12. Re: What Fantasy/Sci-Fi book have you just finished? Please rate it... I liked them enough to pick up the first series again for my collection. Good, gritty fantasy with a great feel for being in a fantasy-world mercenary company. Great characters. THe downside is that, for all the grittiness, it sometimes doesn't take itself very seriously (or else Glen Cook didn't) and sometimes it almost mocks itself. My advice is pick up the first series, or at least the first book which sets everythign up nicely. I didn't get too far into the second series to be able to speak on them with authority. EDIT TO ADD - I'm not much a of a fantasy reader by and large. LOTR, Song of Ice and Fire and Steven Brust's novels are just about the limits of my fantasy reading because I find most of it self-important and boring.
  13. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine Incubus. A supernatural character I played in an oldschool Champions game. I added a cape...the original character didn't have one, but it looked so cool.
