  1. I have had thoughts about letting the grabbed use full strength, but my personal thought was that grabs (especially Telekinetic Grabs) are not highly used in my games, and the players who do use them are not abusing them like in this situation. My Bricks (60 STR) usually rely on punches (12d6) and kicks (12d6 or 13d6 with a Dex Roll) to knockout their opponents.
  2. Q: What was the best investment you have made in your life? A: Instead of Organization XIII, it is now Organization XIV. The new member has a terrible name.
  3. Situation: After a long fight with a group of demon worshipers trying to summon a demon, 5 people come back to talk to police. The Cast BB: AKA Bloody Bastard. Bloodmancer with a bit of an anger issue. Falran: Bard with an Angelic Sword. Sort of a dick. Ray: Shapeshifter with a love for adventure. Kane: Elemental Swordsman. Prince Herald: Runaway Prince that gained an invisibility hex. Wizard: A wizard that knows too much. BB: Can you please let me out of these restraints so I can kill you? Wizard: That would not be a good idea. Prince: (Whispers to BB) He's a prick dude, don't worry about him. Wizard: Alright, so What the Hell happened? Ray: OK, so I didn't show up on time because I was with some bird people that came in the middle of the banquet. Falran: I was playing music on Serif (Holds his sword) BB: I was a guard. Kane: I was also a guard. Prince: Afterwards, one of the trade princes... princesses disappeared (Blushes but no one sees it), she got away. BB: Afterwards, every seemed to form a circle to summon a devil. Wizard: And how know that? BB: I used to be a priest. QOTW: Wizard: *Looks at BB's clothes* What the f**k kinda church would have you as a priest? Falran: And I grew myself to destroy the circle. I think I destroyed the boat. Kane: I accidentally killed one of the guys in the circle. (He purposely did so). Wizard: Yeah... Right. (Looks into a book) F**k... Your're telling the truth. Except for you *Points at Kane*. You purposely killed that senator. Kane: FINE. *All go home after a long conversation*
  4. Sorry, tried to edit my post before you responed, it was Combat Acceleration/Deceleration, not Noncombat.
  5. The car was bought with Noncombat Acceleration/Deceleration
  6. Well, I can see that, but I'm saying in real life. If a car is coming at you at 170 MPH, there is little to no chance that you will dodge the car. I guess this is a one-time thing hopefully. Maybe the DCV penalty (or roll Penalty) will be enough to hit them. BTW: This was not on a city road, this was in the middle of a highway.
  7. Cancer tried to replicate every single car chase from the Lethal Weapon movies with extremely bad results, ending up with 18 broken bones, 13 torn muscles, and 2 failing organs.
  8. An interesting situation came up in a game the other day. A player's stunt driver wanted to run down a group of thugs with his car. The speed on his car was over 170 MPH. However, the OCV of his car was only 4. He missed all of them completely. So, he complained that his speed was nearly impossible to dodge. He said that the Velocity-Based DCV chart could easily be used for OCV. Does this make sense?
  9. This is actually something that I asked Steve. He told me that adding a Trigger naked advantage to, say Block (which I determined the cost of being 5 Maneuver Points), will allow you to use it as a no time action. I say that it would be a caution sign.
  10. Could you not just add the Trigger advantage to a 1d6 Dagger?
  11. Genie makes the team as he is a great magic user. NT: The new prescription drug, Marvelous, is coming out. It is designed to make you a superhero! Side effects not yet named (HINT: What is a Side effect of the drug?)
  12. The value of it is less than $300. NT: Reasons that certain heroes didn't get into the Rogers v Stark feud in Civil War.
  13. The situation is that three men are trying to become guards in order to get into a fancy banquet to find a villain. Joah: Huge Rock Man with insane strength. Kane: Elemental Swordsman. BB: AKA Bloody Bastard. Bloodbender with a bit of an anger issue. Gold Prince: Leader of the Golden Guard for the banquet. Joah: "Excuse me, good sir, may we apply to become guards for this here ceremony?" Gold Prince: "I don't know, show me what you can do!" *Joah lifts his chair completely made out of gold* *Kane slices that same chair in half.* *BB cuts a part of his body and bends blood out of it* Kane: "So, are we in? Gold Prince: "Well, I think so, but I would have to get you all GOLD weapons and armour!" BB: "Ugh" *The Gold Prince comes back with several sets of gold chain armour, 2 golden swords, a golden set of knuckles, and a bucket of gold paint.* Gold Prince: "OK, We are all set to go, but I have one request for you *Points at BB*". BB: "And that is?' Gold Prince: "Can you make your blood GOLD?!" BB: "Um, no." Gold Prince: "Well then, if you kill someone, throw this gold bucket on them please."
  14. That really is just SFX of a power set and Complications that they receive. It really is as simple as making a Package Deal for this situation.
  15. Q: What would the worst person to talk to about financial advice would say to you? A: The worst weapon to have in an alien apocalypse, but the best one in a zombie apocalypse.
  16. Growth (Huge) (90 Active Points); OAF (-1), Extra Time (Full Phase, -1/2), Gestures (-1/4), Incantations (-1/4) 30 Real Points Using the above power (if that matters), is the caster allowed to grow to a size smaller than Huge?
  17. Martian Manhunter couldn't find good food at the buffet, so he left and went to Walmart to pick up some Oreos!
  18. Yes, If you take the Expanded Class of Beings advantage. From 6E1 291 "If the Summoner can Summon more than one being at a time, every being Summoned doesn’t have to be of the same type if the Summoner can Summon from an Expanded Class."
  19. I have died 32 times by the same death. Getting punched by a professional weightlifter.
  20. You could also add the multiple beings adder that allows you to summon more than one being.
  21. I would build this as a summon with the advantage Expanded Class of Beings at the +1/2 Level (Limited Group). Also, you may want to take Amicable.
  22. I use it to role play a lot. My PCs with high PRE usually rule the battlefield.
  23. What my personal thought is.. The water would be more harmful if concentrated. A small glass may not have a lot of water, but it is highly concentrated, where as a light rain is not very concentrated at all. The more concentrated something is, the more effect it should have. The fire extinguisher is not water at all. It is a mixture of chemicals like KNO3. It shouldn't have an additional effect.
  24. glass of water: 10 AP => 1/2d6 Drain- Probably too low pitcher of water: 25 AP => 1d6+1 Drain Probably too low fire extinguisher: 50 AP => 2.5d6 Drain Shoudln't have effect garden hose: 50 AP => 2.5d6 Drain Probably too low fire hose, 1.5": 60 AP => 3d6 Drain Probably too low fire hose, 2.5": 75 AP => 3.5d6 Drain Probably too low fire hose, 5": 100 AP => 5d6 Drain Probably too low fire sprinklers: 75 AP => 3.5d6 Drain Probably too low light rain: 60 AP => 3d6 Drain THE ONLY ONE I THINK IS TOO HIGH heavy rain: 80 AP => 4d6 Drain Probably Good monsoon: 100 AP => 5d6 Drain Probably WAY TOO LOW Your character should carry an umbrella!!!
