  2. Crap Sure 'nuff. My email is joegaines@cinci.rr.com
  3. Coolness Great website. I would be interested in reading one of your newspapers. My address is in my profile.
  4. Go go gadgets TheEmerged, are any of your campaigns set in modern Cincinnati? Is this Spam gun yours or is it published? I had forgotten about Gadgets. My favorite was the rocket skates. Gadgets read like the Acme catalogue. I would buy a FrEd Gadgets book.
  5. The little lady and I finally saw Minority Report. If you haven't seen it yet, my wife and I BOTH liked it which is rare and ,IMO, a glowing endorsement. I didn't like everything, but it is a very watchable movie. What I was most impressed was the cadre of non-lethal weapons employed by the police department. Jetpacks and flying cars are futuristic movie must-haves if not so realistic. The non-lethal police gear though was absolutely believable. As a resident of a city rife with anti-police brutality sentiment, I thought the "sick-sticks" and what I can only describe as a Knockback cannon were truly inspired. Has anyone attempted to write up such weapons or have any homespun non-lethal police weapons you would like to share?
  6. Cincinnati Council of Evil The Cincinnati Council of Evil. Mastermind: Marge Schott. She has an NND EB (defense is LS: Breathing or being a smoker). Second in command would be Larry Flint in some powered, wheelchair-based battle station.
  7. Hello Heroites, Well, I think the Herodome Assembled consensus from my "Really Visible Power Effects" question is that indeed I cannot expect to get a significant cost savings Limitation for powers that are more visible than normal. That's OK. I have more... I've been thinking about Flight with jetpacks, jump jets or other propulsion systems vs inherent flying. Let's say I have a jetpack built into my powered armor suite. Without going into the implications of being stunned or knocked out while flying, some modes of flight are more dangerous than others. OK, I'm flying around the battlefield, jetpack a-blazing. I am hit with a good sized blast and knocked back a few inches. While I am shaking off the attack it is likely my jet-stream is now pointing in a direction I did not intend. How about a small Limitation allowing for a disorienting blast to send me careening into a wall or, god-forbid, straight down into the ground?
  8. Re: Re: Ooh pretty!! Sounds funny but boy does it get annoying to play. One of my first characters I ever made bought all his INT with an Activation roll. He was a brilliant scientist who would occasionally forget where he lived or how to drive. Little did I know that twenty years later I would be working with people just like him
  9. A a big cheap dummy I thought as much. Thanks for the input.
  10. ok ok. Let's say I have a TK power. I know that when I use said power it is reasonably obvious to all around it is me. Let's say I have a red ruby affixed to my forehead. It glows a bit when I use my powers. That satisfies the inherent limitation that all powers are visible. I can buy it invisible. We know how much that costs. Now then, what if my TK power caused big red lights to surround both me and the object I am TK'ing? Not only is the effect visible, it's REALLY visible. Is this worth, say, a 1/4 limitation?
  11. Secret old fart club Yes!! Discount at Denny's, secret handshakes, decoder rings, Old Fart Club nicknames and key to the executive shower room. I'm not necessarily endorsing your sharing the templates with the rest of the club, but hey...isn't that my email address in my profile?
  12. Boll Weevil Oh-Way-Oh!! Thanks, Geoff. 10 experience points to the first person to guess what crappy song is stuck in my noggin.
  13. Ooh pretty!! Buy all his Ego with a "Not in the presence of pretty shiny objects" Limitation.
  14. I got nothin' Just the templates should do nicely. I plan to Photoshop them then drop them into my character sheet pdfs. BTW, I never did Red October pre-internet, but I did PBEM on Compuserve dial-up BBS. What's more, I first logged onto that service using my Texas Instruments 99/4A computer with a 1200 baud modem. I had a 300 baud, but it was tooooo sloooowww!!!
  15. I am blind Hmm. I saw a couple 4th ed templates but no Champions I templates. I will look again.
  16. Geezers unite!!! Sign me up too. Hey, do any of you fellow geezers use the Champions I character sheet picture templates? There were four or five different ones...a brick, a chick, a flyer.
  17. Ooh Ooh!! I'm working on it. Doctor D is the first character I colored from Classic Enemies, darn it it's the first I'll do from CKC.
  18. I feel pretty... Hey wait a minute. I don't know how I could have missed this before. Doctor D is pretty. His ship didn't go down, his face was not burned. What happened? What of Professor Muerte's facial flambe homage?
  19. Thank you for calling GENOCIDE... First thing I did was change the name of Genocide. They've since had several names (mostly purposefully unimaginative government agency names) through the years. In my campaign world, Genocide had extensive governmental influence. That would not have happened with the original monicker ("Senator Johnson, there is a man from Genocide here to see you").
  20. Hi Steve, Long-time listener, first-time caller (I always wanted to say that). In CKC, I notice several characters take limitations (such as OIF and Activation) on both their Multipower and individual slots. Is this legal? I can see how Charges could be different, but if the battlesuit is OIF, wouldn't the laser blaster be automatically considered OIF? Are the cost savings applied individually to both the framework AND slots?
  21. That's half the fun THEN what would I complain about? Honestly, coloring the CE pictures in Photoshop is about the only thing that kept me sane through the last month of my wife's pregnancy and the first month of daddyhood. Oh, the screaming!! It also gave me an opportunity to learn Photoshop a bit.
  22. I have it. At last, I have Conquerors, Killers and Crooks!! Well done. I'm still disappointed Ripper, Deathstroke and The Conquerors didn't make the cut. I finally finished coloring all the pictures in Classic Enemies. Now I have to start anew (well, except for Black Paladin and a few recycles) with CKC. I have begun scanning and slowly stripping away the shading to reveal the line-art. I know asking for color pictures is too much to ask, but at least give us lineart so we can make our own. Champions is a comicbook simulator, I hate when my pictures look photocopied. The characters are great. The write-ups are really helpful. It has long been a pet peave of mine to have a character sheet with powers that are not explained in the text. CKC takes great pains to avoid that, carefully explaining everything on the sheet. All told, I am pleased as punch with my new book. Thanks guys, good job.
