Hermit reacted to Lord Liaden in Best Quotes or your Characters or Villains
Deadeye, an undead detective, when the target of a PC's sarcastic comment: "Ha! You kill me... Oh, wait..."
Bronze Knight, a Captain America paragon type: "Being super doesn't make us better than anyone else. Just bigger."
Slammer, a brick whose father is a famous lawyer, when disparagingly compared to his sire by a villain: "My Dad fights injustice too, with great words. Here's my approach."
Facade, a fantasy illusionist wizard, confronting an evil warlord: "You make the world a Hell for your victims. Let me show you Hell."
As the god Apollo in the Champions Universe, when a PC called him just a figment of people's imagination (I had this one ready): "Indeed? And what were you before your parents rutted together? A streak of slime? And what tiny fraction of my lifetime ago was that, exactly?"

Hermit got a reaction from Steve in Best Quotes or your Characters or Villains
I played Gaze in Winterhawk's Vegas campaign on Hero Central years ago. Gaze was kind of 'what if Batman had mind control?' experiment, mind you, with ethical restraints (of course, he didn't always TELL the villains of his ethical restraints and cultivated a fearsome rep when he could). At one game, Gaze got to 'question' a villain who was operating a killer robot from what said scumball thought was a safe location. The rest of the villain's team was out there, lives were endangered, that sort of thing.
Gaze's line was: "You lay stripped bare of your illusion of supremacy, vulnerable, helpless... and yet, there is so much more I can take from you. Your mind, your knowledge of things technical, I can make you FEAR machinery as much as you fear the light, you cowardly wretch, you miserable quivering pile of refuse. I will ask this and you will answer, do not make me go into the pathetic pit of your mind and take it from you, and do not," He rears his open palm ready to strike while holding up the 'Annihilator' with the other hand, "make me sully my hands on you. Where are the other members of the Shift? What are their plans? Answer, before I get upset and... get creative."

"But _you're a doctor!'
"I am a _physicist!"
"He has a physical injury!"
Same campaign:
"Aren't you a scientist? Good with numbers?"
"I am a physicist! I create lab accidents and super Powers!"
From the youth group:
Kinetica: "he'll never make in time!"
GM: well he has already turned to race down the hallway toward the window...
"I will have to go full sonic-"
"He"s kind of filling the hallway-"
"I go Desolid and blast through him!"
Magnus (upon seeing Kinetica's ephemeral desolid form burst from his chest, leaps forward grabbing): "crap! My soul!"

Hermit got a reaction from Pattern Ghost in Impromptu Superdraft II
She flew over the city, still irked at her cousin. The environment was important to her, personally, not just as an Atlantean. So when a major American city had requested an ambassador from Atlantis, her cousin had asked her to put her college degree to good use. Was it near the ocean? She had specifically asked about oceans, but oh Namor just said "Miles and miles of coast not so far away"... and THAT is how she got tricked into going to Chicago! Honestly, it wasn't any worse than New York City for pollution, probably better, but while the Great Lakes were, well, great, she still steamed that she had been tricked into signing on before she got the full story. Worse, the Blue Sun Corporation was putting out not so subtle misinformation campaigns that she wasn't sure how to counter. In a more just world, she could have punched their sleazy mouthpiece across the room during that town council meeting when he made comments about Atlantis being a foreign influence uncaring of America's 'needs', as if the USA wasn't also in danger from climate change and so much more!
Imperius Rex but she almost hoped a supervillain would show up. She wanted to hit something, hard!
Sounds of gunfire caught her attention, and she flew down to investigate. Below, a costumed man was tumbling, almost dancing, between bullets with an agility that was rare, even by her no longer a rookie standards! 'Wow'" She thought as he inadvertently turned a very toned back side to her to close on a gunman. He was fighting them with sticks? Well, not like she hadn't seen that before. She looked about for more trouble makers and caught another scumball racing for a vehicle hidden under a tarp. Something was odd about its shape. When he moved the tarp she figured out why. The guy was trying to get into a tank? Where had a street gang or whatever this was gotten a TANK?
Before the guy could lift the hatch, she landed on top of the tank in his way and looked down. The would be tankie blinked, and said "feet?"
"Dainty feet," She declared "Now with new wing action," And she kicked him against a wall to see who would be next.

Chicago! It's got a better live theatre than Bludhaven, and less personal baggage than Gotham. Exactly how a city this big, with a rich history of organized crime and political corruption side by side with great works gets overlooked so often in the superhero set, I'm not sure. Hell of a skyline though, and I consider myself something an expert in those after decades of going on top of some good ones. What it doesn't have, at least currently, is a team. And if I'm going to take on the threats to Chicago, I'm going to need one.
Clark would try to do it all on his lonesome, and inadvertently inspire others.
Bruce would grumble about amateurs, then bully folks into organizing.
I've learned from both men, been on many teams, and had the pleasure of leading more than a few of them through glorious and hard times. And I know this much: Be there to catch people who are falling, and eventually, they start catching you back when you're the one in the plummet.
Stand up in shadow or in daylight, show that justice has a chance, and, trust good people to BE good, and even if they're not called by the name?
Titans will rise.
Paragon Pick: Nightwing aka Dick Grayson

And yes, Nightwing is a paragon. He has assembled multiple teams of heroes in times of crisis just by asking nicely.

SO, a location today, but no theme until Tomorrow
If I were a wise man, I would try to hold out until tomorrow for location as well, and thus be better braced for whatever theme comes!
But today, Wisdom is my proverbial dump stat!
Not knowing WHAT the hell is going on, I choose...The Windy City, Chi-Town itself, the City of Big Shoulders, aka Chicago, Illinois!
Location: Chicago

Pretty much what it sounds like. These heroes either have wings, or are somehow associated with someone or something that does.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I owe the author of A Handmaid's Tale an apology. I used to think it was too far fetched as a setting. I didn't know it was a 2025 plan for that many GOP members

The knock on the apartment door was rather early in the morning. It was firm, and not particularly seeking to be quiet. The middle aged man opened the door to see two men in the entry way, wearing matching suits and gloves. They looked close to his age, but it was hard to be sure, for there was an impassivity to it.
"Sir," one said , "You're just the man we were looking for."
"May we come in?" Said the other.
The tenant frowned, "If you guys are from the FBI telling me once more that my daughter 'ran away' but you're searching for her, then I don't want to hear it. She wouldn't 'run away'. Something was rotten with that program. That internship was fishy and I..."
"The FBI?" One gave a too stiff smile, "Oh no, we're not with the FBI"
"Though it is nice to find out they're... on script" The other said.
"We're with the Blue Sun Corporation," They said in Unison.
The worried father backed up, which was a mistake, as the two ... let's call them executives, took this as an invitation to come inside, and did.
One's eyes fell to a coaster on a table, and the can in that coaster, "We see you're a regular customer. WONDERFUL, perhaps we could get you some ...discounts."
"We like to be seen as a ... positive influence here in Chicago and beyond," the second agreed, "But you've made that hard, sir. Very hard."
"Malicious gossip, could be seen as slander" The other said.
"I just want my daughter back!" The man said.
"Oh, yes sir, so does the company. Please, sit down, we'd like you to... listen to something." The first one explained, gesturing to a chair and looking at his companion who was reaching one blue gloved hand into his own pocket to pull out whatever they wanted him to listen to.
