  1. Now we need to fly to the moon, play among the stars, and see what spring is like on Jupiter and Mars.
  2. "Because I know what you're talking about, therefore you're wrong, even though my three-paragraph post has at least one logical inconsistency per paragraph, as I beat a dead horse made of straw."
  3. I should note that I'm never wrong, I think... The above statement is incorrect.
  4. Unfortunately, the internet had nothing relevant for "implacable porpoise". Too bad; I was hoping for a funny pic.
  5. ...Does the bow have Real Weapon? That's the only game mechanics problem I can think of.
  6. ...Probably easier than the plan involving Perlin noise, a black/white 0.6 filter, and GIMP's edge detection.
  7. Rest stop for jolly old gift-giving elves.
  8. ...Huh. I guess it's just that we're a lot more tolerant of the almonds version.
  9. ...Quick poking logic-shaped holes in my silly posts!
  10. Strangest? ...Probably the effects of real-world poisons. The most? Medieval arms and armour information. ...Yeah, anyone who runs and/or designs RPGs is probably on a watchlist. Also, if you smell anything that smells like almonds, and it's not an almond, don't eat it. Almonds are the only organic thing that smells like almonds that's not poisonous to humans.
  11. If it's limited to specific manoeuvres, then some sub-set has to be chosen. And generally, AFAIK, people learn to cut and thrust with swords, because it's generally more effective. ...Or did you mean something else?
  12. "My golf clubs are high-quality tensile carbon steel!" "My golf clubs are titanium!" "My golf clubs are titanium, with sweat-absorbent cotton!" Whatever it is, there's always a latest edition. Note: I am neither a golfer, nor a materials engineer.
  13. ...Drop that second half and I think more than one of those plots occurred in Highlander: The Raven.
  14. ...Was trying to hint that I didn't understand the why of your post. Realized it might have come out wrong. If so, sorry.
  15. Yep, you can apply modifiers. ...What does The Bat Ninja have to do with Bryce Dane? You don't honestly believe that a drunken playboy billionaire is actually The Bat Ninja, one of the world's premier superheroes, do you?
  16. Themed artifacts attract themed villains. Crocadileman stole a jade crocadile? Not magic; just completing a collection.
  17. ...Of course. It's not like Cylons would want to turn into inferior biologicals. That would be the plot of a B-grade survival horror. Probably end with most viewers wanting half the cast dead, anyway. Tax: 12) Laser tag gets a whole lot more fun.
  18. ...Well, if you want to simulate red shirts, just assume that every PC starts with ten security guards, and can buy more for 2 CP each, or sell them off for 2 CP each.
  19. Hey, if you can't stand the heat, stay out of the stellar furnace.
  20. Same with everything. Computer parts initially come out in the server, enterprise and enthusiast spaces is because those groups have the money to pay the prototype and factory startup surcharges. For that matter, I once saw a listing on the webpage of a company (years ago, back when a 250GB SSD was a big thing) for a 16 TB SSD. Price? $40k (USD, I presumed). No store listing, no store locator, no contact page. In short, "if you don't know where to get these, you can't afford them anyway." Who'd buy that? Companies for which a half-second saved by 40k can easily be 1,000k plus.
  21. ...I am unsure which part of my post made you think I meant a character's background doesn't come in to play. True, the information given was combat information, but the situation was an imminent physical threat, and the characters were combat superheroes. Dianna Three, half-human empath, would get different information. That seemed evident to me. If you meant something else, I apologize.
