Glad I signed up for the Patreon. I've been enjoying Hero for nearly 40 years, and plan to keep going on enjoying it!

Gemini is a self-contained game, and you don't need to learn OpenD6 before reading Gemini.  All of the rules to play Gemini are in the core book, which is currently clocking in at a svelt 130 pages.  I have made significant rules revisions in some places, and Gemini should not be considered 100% compatible with the core OpenD6 books (Space, Adventure, Fantasy).  You can adapt those books and related supplements into Gemini if you want, as much of Gemini originated from those books. Think of Gemini as a branch on a tree where OpenD6 is the trunk.

I should mention here, if people are sad they missed Darren's thoughts about superheroes, I highly recommend you check out the podcast he did called Explain This, Comics Guys!

I'm heartbroken at the news.  I still remember the DunDraCon where Darren had been speaking *a lot* over the four days.  His voice was absolutely shot, but we'd all gathered at a nearby watering hole to have a post-convention get together.  Darren suggested we go from there and get dinner at a "topless restaurant" he knew.  A bunch of us cocked an eyebrow, but it was Darren, and he was saying the food there was good, so we were game to go.  What we discovered when we got to the restaurant was that Darren was saying *TAPAS*.  It was a good restaurant.  It was a great time.  I'm gonna miss him so much.

Cool, I did not know there was a Patreon until I saw this last week. I went ahead and jumped in. Will be nice watching your progress. 

Really enjoyed the first book - this one appears to have more commentary and advancement notes!  Great idea!

Kicking off a new campaign with this beauty in a few days.  The opening sequence is perfect for new group introductions, and the pacing looks perfect to unfold the personal parts of the characters.  Absolutely excited!

Thanks for the kind words and the feedback.  I’m glad you find value in the supplement.  As for wanting more, the second supplement is well in the works. The notes for playing the builds will be greatly expanded, with an eye on further assisting beginning players.  The second supplement will also have some more complex builds than the first.

I just wanted to give the nod to Christopher (@ Khymeria) regarding The HERO System Book of Templates. This is an excellent book to get people started quickly with character concepts that are very well-known. At 5$, it is great value and I want more of this. The fact that the HERO Designer files are included makes it even more valuable.  It might not have been your choice but why name this supplement The HERO System Book of Templates? I believe it makes a disservice to your product and does not convey the flavor, nor the utility value it's due. I believe Champions Heroes: Volume 1 (assuming there could be more) would have been better at illustrating the goal of the supplement.
