  3. In Texas authority is derived from the State constitution that gets it’s Authority from the U. S. Constitution. County Sheriffs who are elected by the citizens of the county hold police powers and the ability to grant same to police departments in their county. In the 1970s all peace officers where given state wide authority none of this stop at the line stuff. It also empowers the State police, (Department of Public Safety) which regulates for example private investigators; who have to have liability insurance and collect sales tax and regulate security companies under the authority of the occupational code of Texas. California has some intresting laws, in San Fransico there is private police. whact this movie. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0104647/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_87

  13. From wiki Under ideal conditions, the sound can be understood at 3 to 7 miles,[1] but interesting messages usually get relayed on by the next village. "The talking drums" or "jungle drums" is also a euphemism for gossip – similar to "the grapevine". n Africa, New Guinea and the tropical America, people have used drum telegraphy to communicate with each other from far away for centuries. When European expeditions came into the jungles to explore the primeval forest, they were surprised to find that the message of their coming and their intention was carried through the woods a step in advance of their arrival. An African message can be transmitted at the speed of 100 miles in an hour. full link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drums_in_communication

  23. Dear Sirs, This is a Fifth Edition question. I have a Mage who cast a spell invisibility. Can you make a perception roll against him with magesight. Is he just a glowing ball of magic to someone with magesight? Sounds stupid but we had a discussion and one stated he would rule that yes with magesight would spot the spell as the power is defined as magic. Help with this please. Lord Ghee
