I would not give Kirk Interrogation, he has interogated but not as a trained person. Deduction in a con setting I would give to spock as Kirk leads, Spok figures. No MA as I would give him levels and he would have overall levels (5th ed GM, player). Knowledge of Star Fleet systems and the Enterprise systems. Kirk is fit, tough and has combat luck. All of the seven would have Combat luck and it will save new players. Kirk is lucky but 3D6? He makes his luck. Professional skill spacer can use space suits, eva stuff, tools, zero g, how to handle airlocks ect. Kirk can fly it but Sulu can really fly it and anything. Re: DEA and local police Report on a conversation with a Narcotics dective. So last night at Macdonalds, I was standing in line and behind me where two gentlemen with guns and badges, so of course I politely started a conversation. The gent with the El Paso police badge was kind and chatty and the Sheriff deputy not so much. Here is the information I gathered. · If you developed a lead on a shipment of drugs would you call the D.E.A.. o No it is our bust. § Not a surprise as any cash can go to the arresting department and this justifies their jobs. · Small town departments have gotten million in drug bust and have paid for years of budget. · If the group is large or known to be aggressive then we would call in our S.W.A.T. o If group is known to be large and aggressive then we would ask for help from the Sheriff’s Department S.W.A.T., then the State police S.W.A.T., and if that manpower could not handle it we would then call in the Feds. El Paso Police department has 32 S.W.A.T. members and is divided into 4 elements. (man what you can find on their web site). · El Paso Narcotics, the El Paso Police and Sheriffs department work together and I was talking to a detective team of one officer and one deputy. o The El Paso Narcoticsand the DEA have an excellent Relationship. But It’s my bust from my information so no I will not tell the DEA, they might kill the raid. o El Paso deal with local matters and matters or of law, so information leads to immediate action. o The DEA and the Feds in general will not act until they are sure and they wish to develop the links up and down the chain to get all of the conspirators. They have the time and budget to do this. The El Paso Police want to deal with the immediate issue of stopping the deal and drugs. (a reason that sharing information my not be a good ideal) o The Feds have much more red tape than the Locals. ( the officer repeat this three times in our conversation) o The Feds have some really and I quote “cool and expensive gear”. § The Feds will happily share gear, remember the good relationship. · The El Paso Police have help the DEA on their operations. I assume stake out, local security and S.W.A.T. support. · I learn from the web that El Paso has the El Paso Metro Narcotics task force that handles Narcotics investigations in El Paso County. · El Paso received 1.7 million in seized money last year. Total budget 111,127,000.00 dollars. · 70 persent of money seized is returned to the seizing authority. · 30 persent goes to the attorney generals office. (Lawyers they always get a cut!) Re: M44 offhand @ 500 yards The answer to the Question is (in 5thr terms) Target chest size -3 (it is stationary and brace so 0 DCV) Range 500m so a penality of -12 (luckly he was not at 500m and one cm as that would have been a -14, one needs to know how to stage). Target is at - 15 and no orther factors that I can estimate (wind, lighting ect). Our shooter looks to be an average fit gentlemen. so he has a good dex at 11 and that gives him a OCV of 3 He seems to have a familarity with the weapon so no minus there. He dose not seem to be moving much so I would give him the brace maneuver for a +2 OCV and he took his time (set maneuver for a +1) Total so far 6 OCV now it does not look like he is firing at a off hand position but if he is this is a minus 3. Long battle rifle normally +1 to ocv and +1 to range mod total 5 OCV If one assumes that he will hit 90% of the time he will need 12 skill levels, 14 or less to hit. now class how can you buy those levels (used with most rifles at least) for the least amount of points? Dear Sirs, In the phase that my character acts, Detective Danger, half moves into the room and yells "Freeze" and after all modifiers need an eight on the dice to get a covered result on High Dex Villain with the Maneuver Cover. I roll an Eleven. Question one; I the player know I have blown the Maneuver dose my character knows he has blown the maneuver? Question two; Will High Dex Villain know that I have blown my roll, even thou the steely eye detective never blinks?

Re: Are Overall Skill Levels overpowered? Our extended group of about twenty Hero players I am the only one who uses overall levels. I like the effect it has on my charaters as it make them competent at what they do. The extra effect on perception and Intell rolls make them I (and the only one) believe a great value. There are alway charaters that are better fighters or what ever but I always hold my own. Lord Ghee

Glad I did not mention my small lariat multipower or the fact that when "The Traveler" got on a hosre it was more confident: skill levels usable on orthers and could run faster father and longer. defined as 'that man was born in the saddle and can realy ride".
