  1. Most of my players just do not like Math. So the default system has been D&D 5e (they like fantasy). But for my RWBY campaign I use Hero Game system as it best handles unique abilities of Huntsmen and Huntresses.
  2. Wanting opinion good/bad if the following is an acceptable means to allow a druid to pass thru plant-based barriers and entangles? Suppress Entangle BODY & rPD 4d6, Area of Effect: Damage Shield (1m Surface; +1/4), Expanded Effect (x2 Characteristics or Powers simultaneously) (+1/2) (70 Active Points); Limited Power Only Affects Plant Special Effects of Barriers & Entangles (-1), No Range (-1/2), Costs Endurance (to maintain; -1/2). This would assume that most plant base entangles would have maximum of 4pd and 4 body?
  3. Trying to find rule that prohibit some powers in Multipower or VPP, like Enhanced Senses. I remember something to that effect and Hero Designer seems to support that. So where is that ruling found?
  4. I think as a Game Master I can offer a character an Ad Hoc modifier like +5 CP to cost of Tunneling to escape Entangle if special effects is similar. Example would be if one can command Earth so that even the earth parts to allow you passage ... no pressure applied or required, and the Entangle is an Earth Effect. This seems fair to me.
  5. How best to build a power that has 4 distinct powers that are useable by others with 12 charges between the powers and the twelve charges/uses divided between the characters. I now this vague but still wondering. I figure Multipower the best even thou 2 of the four powers are not normally permitted into Multipower or build 1 charge Multipower and by 2 quantities of the power. https://anime.team-rwby-project.jp/en/special/shion/
  6. I have enjoyed creating original characters of the RWBY style campaign I been running since July 2021, using the Hero Game system (on Saturday Mornings). The group on Saturday mornings is now three, and seeking a few more players. Of the current group of players only one is learning the Hero System. I have included a HDC file of basic template for a typical Huntsman or Huntress character from RWBY. For ease of combat all characters and Grimm will nearly always have a speed of Four. Game Name: RWBY Aftershock System: Champions Complete [Access to other Sixth Edition powers and abilities with Head Masters permission] Genre: World of Remnant/RWBY. Weapon is also a Gun! Gaming Platform: Discord - Theater of the Mind. Reason is some of my players and myself not found a program for battle grids that all have access to. Points: 425 pts, plus 75 pts complications Active Points: 50-60. Head Master permission for higher active points in attacks. Defense is generally limited to maximum of 20pd/20ed (this is combined non resistant up to 8PD/8ED plus 12rPD/12rED from Aura which is 'limited'). All characters and grimm have speed of four for smoothness of play. Maximum Number of Active Players: Five. Open Slots: 2 Slots. Setting: World of Remnant just after the fall of Atlas. If you not familiar with RWBY then no need to apply, but if want to spend say 20+ hours to absorb knowledge of RWBY then go to https://roosterteeth.com/series/rwby. Playtimes: Game starts 11:30am EST on Saturdays and typically runs 2 to 3 hours. Information: players required to play the Huntsmen and Huntresses of good morales (and ethics). Must abide by Monty Oums Naming Rule for Characters. Maidens and magic uses not permitted for player characters. No unreasonable OCV/DCV.   7. What about "Variable Advantage" to Strength at to the minimum of +1/2 (i.e. +1/4 advantage) to be able to change Strength from inflicting PD to ED via Attack versus Alternate Defense (AVAD)!?. Just a thought.

In D&D and many fantasy settings Scrying is the following: • Mind Scan: Find the subject (for those spells that find such a person) • Clairsentience: See & Hear such person and that persons surroundings. This "counter" this scrying one only need to prevent Mind Scan as the Clairsentience is linked to the success Mind Scan and the Mind Scan is all or nothing success. OR • Clairsentience: See some place far away as you if you in that place. This would be countered by Darkness in the area. If one wants to see the "Place" and all that is present in area but not intended target then that person protected from Clairsentience is Invisibility to "Clairsentience" But one would notice the oddity of someone say conversing to protected person and thus looking like they are talking to 'an imaginary person'. OR • Change Environment with minus to Perception in protected area. This would result in Mind Scan having more difficulty locking onto said subject. And Clairsentience in Area would show everything heavily 'distorted', but this distortion would alert such a person protection spell present. >>> Perhaps best way to write it up if one does no want to have a distortion effect of Change Environment is as follows: Invisibility to Clairsentience Group and Mind Scan , No Fringe ... Active Cost 35 and costing 3 END per phase. Naturally one would have to have Game Masters approval for using Invisibility this way. But this is just my opinion. After all this form of invisibility would not prevent someone standing in front of protected person from seeing the protected person.
  9. This sounds like a can of worms LOL. I know request was for mental illusions/images ... But controlling an Ice Spell that creates a block of Ice (i.e. entangle target) would get messy. i not think anyone one perfect catch all for controlling another caster's spell. It would be if this spell is cast then I use the following spell (see game mechanic that works) effectively negates the attack and then redirects the effect to oneself in control of said effect. I a bit behind in many books .. what is HSG (assuming page 24?)
  10. Must one really buy Anchor for points for a ship? How often would anyone use such?
  11. I remember that Dragon Issue for Extra Life, it cost 4 points ... the 100th issue for the Dragon Magazine, month of August 1985. My favorite Powers from that issue was Knockout and Vertigo. I am 60 years old.
  12. Just making sure LOL I suppose "Use Only In Case Of Emergency" -4 limitation gives same cost as vehicle buying other vehicles!!
  13. Noticed in Ultimate Vehicle page 65 that Cruise Ships buy Lifeboats as Vehicles Vehicles buying Vehicles ... so really character only paying 1/25th the cost is that correct? It would seem it be reasonable for vehicle to buy another vehicle at inflated prices like 1 for 1 for other vehicles, with +25 points to double number of vehicles. Sorry if I posting something that may have be posted before, just a quick search was not coming up with anything.
  14. I Like 6E HTM: Tasha's Ultimate Character Sheet as it works very nicely for Characters. But Bases and Vehiles not have Martial Arts and stuff so was wondering what a good template to download for everything else. Suggestions?
