  1. Goody Garlick Jessica Nixon is a freelance journalist who writes lifestyle articles about unique aspects of New York City. One of her stories involved interviewing Madame Reyes, a fortune teller. Reyes took a reading with Jessica using Tarot cards and told her she had magic potential. Nixon didn't take this seriously, but she began having recurring nightmares about an evil presence in the city. She contacted Reyes and the mystic showed her how to unleash her untapped connection to the mystical energies of the world. She would eventually battle and defeat the evil she had dreamt of, a demonic entity calling itself Lilitu. She chose the name Goody Garlick after a woman who was accused of witchcraft in 1658 in Easthampton, but was found innocent. She is still training with Reyes to refine and focus her raw talents. She gets along well with MegaCorp liason Mrs Biggs, but the company have pushed her to change her name to something with more pizzazz and marketability.
  2. Huracán Diego Alvarez is barely a year into his career and is a legacy hero. His grandmother fought crime in the 70s as the wind controlling La Tormenta. Diego is much less powerful however as he can only create a swirling vortex around his body. He uses this to accelerate his strikes and provide some protection from damage. He operated in East Harlem against low level street crime and was out of the spotlight. Then he defeated the violent killer Red Hook and gained media attention. This led to recruitment to the team and he finds himself a bit overwhelmed. He thinks he merely got lucky in defeating Red Hook and feels like a weak link on the team. He is happy for the advice and instruction he receives from 'Tec, Citymaster and Manhattan Skyline. He is a bit intimidated by Skydancer and her outgoing personality. She has tried to encourage him to try and focus his power to allow him to fly and project blasts of wind, but he hasn't managed to master those abilities yet.
  3. The Ingénue Amelie Monroe appears to be a shy, meek, and frail young woman whose large doe eyes exude innocence. This is all the convincing act of an accomplished and skilled con artist. No one is suspicious of whatever tale of woe she weaves in order to get what she wants. She came to the attention of The Director when she conned Best Boy out of a small fortune by playing to his vanity and ego. Impressed, the mad auteur recruited her to assist in his schemes.
  4. The Mighty Metropolitans New York has seen many super teams and this is the latest. The team is comprised of six members. Three veteran heroes who were all previously part of New York based teams that have gone defunct for various reasons and three younger heroes getting their big break. Themes to explore are the veteran heroes past, the leadership dynamic, the clash between experienced and rookie heroes etc.
  5. Aw, I thought the thread was active again. 😔
  6. Mongoose Captain Chronos pulled the hero formerly known as Iron Tiger from a world devastated by VIPER. The organization had released a virus that caused monstrous serpent mutations in those it infected. The virus was more powerful and unpredictable than even VIPER realized and quickly spread out of control. Arriving in this reality the martial arts master changed his identity to Mongoose to reflect his battle against VIPER. He now tries to dismantle the vile snakes before they can develop the dangerous poison and doom the world. His time is running out however as he has been infected by the virus himself and it only his iron will and training in spiritual techniques that stave off it's affects for now.
  7. Science City: The product of some of the world's greatest minds that is filled with cutting edge experimental technology and overseen by a prototype AI. Unfortunately the AI has been corrupted by an outside source(Mechanon perhaps?) and has trapped the citizens within the city. The heroes must find a way to rescue them while dealing with weaponized tech of a rampaging and insane intelligence.
  8. That is cheating good sir! 😆
  9. The Second Chance Society or Second Chancers?
  10. The only entry is the winner. You're up steriaca if you want to try and keep this thread alive with a new image.
  11. Queen of the Hunt Victoria Blackledge was born into wealth and often accompanied her father on his safaris to exotic lands. Eventually her skills outmatched his and her love for hunt become an obsession. She especially prized endangered and unique species to add to her trophy room. She learned of a rumored hidden civilization called the Sacred Lands that was populated by animals that only existed in that location. She used her vast resources to finally find it's location and set out for a new hunt. Before she could take down her first target she was confronted by this lands protector, Zahla The Untamed. Blackledge managed to escape, but she vowed revenge. When Zahla came to America as the official ambassador of the Sacred Lands Blackledge created her own villainous identity to hunt her prey down. She is an expert in a vast array of weapons both moden and ancient, but favors a hi-tech crossbow with a variety of specialized bolts. She lost her left eye during one of her battles with her nemesis and has since had a cybernetic replacement attached. She is able to use the eye to see the images captured by her hunting drones. She helped found the Omegans using her wealth to provide a headquarters and outfit the members as needed.
  12. Weird Beard Artie "Aristotle" Ramsey, a self titled street philosopher and poet, was a regular fixture at Hippie Hollow Park. He was known for his habit of long bizarre rambling rants about the nature of existence as well as more mundane aspects of life. His transformation happened in the middle of one of these rants and he suddenly found himself dressed in what he called a silver space suit, complete with cape. He soon discovered he could cause his long beard and ratty dreadlocks to grow and stretch and manipulate objects and people. Naturally he freaked out a little. Over time he accepted what was happening was real and not some bad trip. He also found he had additional abilities that allowed him to distort reality in what he dubbed his weird waves. He modified his costume into a tie die pattern and continued to spread his brand of wisdom while also fighting crime and protecting the citizens of Austin.
  13. Dark Triad A humanoid shaped shell that is powered by three alien entities that appear as red orbs. Illevai is the orb in position of the body's forehead and it is obsessed with enacting callous control over others and has the ability to subjugate victims. Carnn is on the back of the left hand and is an egomaniac that is often given to displays of grand power using energy manipulation and gravity control. Hysth is the final entity on the back of the right hand and is the most montrous entity with no mercy and delights in death and suffering. The body of the Triad is a nearly indestructible super dense matter. The orbs themselves seem immune to most forms of attack. The three entities will generally work together towards a common goal, but given their extreme natures will often disagree and come into conflict within their own body.
  14. Clonus, you get to post the next image.
  15. Okay let's give this one a go.
  16. Mazinger Z sounds....interesting. 😀
  17. Ty-Gor He is the tyrannical ruler of the kingdom of Organia having dethroned the benevolent King Ly-On. He commands his legion of henchman which include Spy-dor, Ry-No, Drag-On, and Pan-Tha. He is opposed by Princess Pegasus(actually Gwendolyn Ramsey who travelled to this world from our earth via a magic mirror that transformed her to the same animal human hybrid state as everyone in Organia). She has allies in the former members of Ly-On's royal court in Battle Bear, Sir Swift Steed, Lady Peacock and Roo the Jester.
  18. Skitter Russell Tovey has six arms and the hands of each have a maw of razor sharp teeth in the palm. The teeth produce a poison that causes paralysis and thins the blood. He also has extra eyes grafted around his head giving him 360 degree vision. His favorite tactic is to use his hand mouths to cling to walls and then climb to a ceiling so he can drop on a victim. He then engulfs them in his powerful arms while poisoning and tearing them apart with his mouths. To go along with his disturbing appearance he has a creepy predatory personality and the unnerving habit of gnashing all of his teeth as he stares unblinking at you.
  19. Mlinzi Babirye Akello was "recruited" by the Lord's Resistance Army in Uganda losing his mother, father and twin sister during the slaughter of his village. After two years of forced service as a soldier he was saved when Proud Man intervened during an attack. Babirye was awestruck by his savior's power and compassion as he defeated him and fellow soldiers without injuring or killing anyone. Babirye found safety in a UN refugee camp and while there discovered his interest and ability with mechanical and electronic devices. This ability further blossomed as he grew into a young man and led to him designing a suit of power armor. The suit provides protection, enhanced strength, flight and a variety of non-lethal weapons such as sonic cannons and tazer projectiles. He dubbed himself Mlinzi(Protector in Swahili) and began his life as a hero with praticular focus on helping children in danger or need. He still struggles with his feelings of loss and the guilt of his terrible actions with the LRA. He sought out his hero Proud Man and was a founding member of AAF.
  20. Baphomet A subject of mad geneticist Tobias Hall's Animal Farm, Stu O'Dell had bovine DNA mixed with his at birth. The result was that he grew into a massive ten foot tall man bull. He broke free from the Farm at fourteen and realizing he couldn't fit into society turned to crime. Originally he went by the name Stampede and worked as muscle-for-hire to various gangs. He was recruited into the Demon Lords to give them a powerhouse tank in battle. He serves the role well, but aspires to be a bit more than just brute force used by the group.
  21. Gunslinger Jerome Pettibone joined a Wild West Show as a teen and was a gofer and roustabout for a few years before becoming an apprentice to the trick shot artist. While he mastered quickdrawing and gunspinning tricks he had one problem...he was a terrible shot. His inability to hit a target was almost supernatural. In his frustration one day he threw his gun and to his surprise it struck the target perfectly. After some practice he could throw his six guns and have them hit targets and bounce back his hand. Unfortunately he was still fired from the show. He decided to use his odd skill to commit crime as the literal Gunslinger. He wears a garishly colored cowboy outfit and has holsters and bandoliers holding guns that cannot fire bullets. He still uses his over the top showmanship and jokey patter as he commits crime. He is considered a bit of a weak link on the team considering his weapons are non-lethal and he seems to prefer to be the center of attention than being a great criminal.
  22. Well I don't know about Behind Blue Eyes, but Duke has provided a solid origin for a music hating supervillain. 😀
