  1. Vulgore A demonic entity summoned to this plane by the dark sorcerer A'tep Amon who served his new master as a tool of destruction and death. He was vanquished, along with Amon by the Convocation in Light. Morgan Ravenscraft removed the runes of control from Vulgore's flesh and made an attempt to reason with the beast. Shockingly this worked and he became reformed. He has joined Pentacle to try and make up for his evil deeds and perhaps earn some form of redemption. He has curbed his more savage instincts, but still makes an extremely formidable foe with his vast strength and nearly indestructible nature. Naturally the public has yet to embrace what amounts to a red scaly skinned horned demon playing hero. Therefore he stays out of view as much as possible and operates against evil in the shadows.
  2. I'll go ahead and add another member since it is up in the air whether this team is continuing or not. Steel Squire Reggie Manchester was the sidekick to his uncle Archie aka the Power Paladin. Archie sacrificed his life when he used the overloading power core in his armor to create an explosion that closed the transverse gate used by the Vexxons to invade our universe in 1983. Reggie was welcomed to the Righteous Teens and found it provided a surrogate family since his uncle was his last living relative. He was proud to serve with teammates who shared the same morals his uncle had passed down to him. Upon graduating from the team he adopted the Power Paladin name crafting an upgraded suit of armor with help from RT teammates Toy Boy and the Techno Twins.
  3. AUX It is a bioorg unit that comes standard on most vessels and provides assistance with repairs, operations, defense etc. It tries to be as helpful as possible to it's captain and crew. It is designed with incredible strength, engineered to survive in virtually all hazardous conditions, and is equipped with various built in high tech weapons. Tactica treats it like a slave and takes out her anger on it with verbal and physical abuse. Machriah treats it as a subservient and a tool but with a bit more respect as it is part of her ship. Elephantiasis treats it more as an equal and they are often paired up on tasks together. It secretly rather likes the world they are stuck on and finds it oddly fascinating. It in particular loves the food called cotton candy. New Team: Lethal Labors Brought together by the mastermind the Myth Master to vex his nemesis, a manifestation of the hero Hercules in the modern world. Myth Master was hoping for 12, but found 6 villains whose powers and motifs mirrored the mythical labors closely enough.
  4. Shout-out May Bell Reece was born with malformed vocal cords rendering her mute. She grew up very shy and reserved due to her condition. However at age 13 her parents sent her to the St Giles Institute. There she received radical gene treatment that not only gave her the ability to speak but a range of powerful voice related powers including a destructive sonic scream and a mesmerizing hum. She soon discovered that she wasn't the only young patient to gain special powers due to their treatments. This was courtesy of Dr. Elliott Vanderpool, aka the Genomancer. He planned on training the teens to act as his strike force to lead the way to his plans of a world of genetic perfection under his control. Thankfully they were able to break free from his control and defeat the mad doctor. The group then banded together as the Free Radicals(Kickback, Re-Pete, Fourfront, Diamondhide and Outreach). However May clashed with her slightly older teammates as they embraced a life of celebrity, and partying as opposed to heroics and proper moral behavior. She left the group and operated solo for a couple of months before an encounter with Ren the Space Weasel had her crossing paths with the mid 90s roster of the Righteous Teens. Kid Pureheart offered her membership and she happily accepted.
  5. Captain Kiwi Amelia King is the fifth person to take up the mantle of Captain Kiwi, a national hero identity that dates back to World War 2. King, as a member of the New Zealand Police, worked with the previous Captain and helped him uncover and eventually take down King Tuatara and his criminal organization. Seeing her courage and resourcefulness convinced the Captain to offer her the role as time and injuries were catching up with him. She received further training from her mentor to augment her already impressive skill set making her a formidable fighter. She wears a lightly armored bright green uniform adorned with a silver fern leaf logo. She carries a modified sidearm that can utilize a variety of ammution ranging from non lethal stun rounds to armor piercing explosive shells. She operates out of a secret seaside base called the Captain's Cove that houses a powerful speedboat, the Kiwi Cruiser, and the armored and armed Kiwi Copter. She is the new kid amongst her Southern Cross teammates having more inherited membership than earning it. She is very keen to earn her place on the team and the respect of the other members.
  6. Lady Marmalade Esteban Diaz is a mutant with healing abilities. They named their superhero and drag queen persona after the burnt orange glow that accompanies use of their powers. Singing and dancing acts as a focus for Esteban's power to have greater effect. Lady Marmalade in battle performing in full drag and glowing brightly while healing their teammates and citizens in need is quite a sight to see. New team: Southern Cross Who makes up the team of the four top heroes of New Zealand?
  7. Coyōtl An inventor and gadgeteer who used the guise of the Native American trickster spirit as the theme of his gimmicks and overly complicated death traps. He was on the losing end of a long rivalry with the Mid West Crusaders resident speedster Rundown for years. He got the last laugh by ditching his oft times faulty tech and used a combination of an oil slick and high tension wire to decapitate the hero. He was shocked by the response of the various groups that began to decimate his associates. He managed to escape the initial wrath and was planning on escaping overseas when the vigilante Grim Gallows caught up with him. The authorities found his body hanging from a noose over a fan made memorial to Lady Sunshine and the Crusaders.
  8. Yacumama Nataya is a member of an indigenous Asháninka tribe in Peru. Her people's land has been exploited and ruined by logging and it's resources stolen for years. When she was 15 her mutant shape shifting abilities activated in a moment of anger and her mind chose the form of a legendary giant serpant Yacumama the "mother of water". She went on to attack loggers, rubber harvesters, cartel plantations and anyone else who she saw as perpetrators against her people's land. This led to her going against US interests and causing a conglomerate to call on the US government to okay an unsanctioned incursion using military contractors. Nataya fought hard against the group of super powered mercenaries the Kill Corps, but was nearly defeated until La Araña intervened. She was then recruited to the team. She is still very young, naive and full of anger and the other members of the team manipulate her somewhat to act as a weapon against their common enemies.
  9. New Team: Crime Cabal Formed in the early 80s at one time they were THE supervillain team. Now years later what remains is a pale imitation. The current 7 members are a mix of older villains past their prime trying to hang onto glory, legacy villains who don't measure up to their predecessors, newbies trying to use whatever juice the groups name still has and whatever else fits the bill.
  10. Sin-eater When Dylan Scurlock's wife was diagnosed with terminal cancer he tried to stay brave for her. As her physical and mental health deteriorated she expressed deep fear of her soul being tainted by her sins. She was inconsolable and Dylan in desperation vowed to her that he would utilize the ritual of eating her sins to save her soul. When she passed, he felt obligated to follow through with his promise. However the ritual changed him. He could feel the sin eating away at him. He knew he was damned by his actions. He also hungered for more as it seemed to grant him strength and a dark animal cunning. He began killing victims and consuming their sins, not to save them, but to temporarily sate his appetite. He uses the group to help provide him with victims, but he also views them as bodies ripe with sin that he will someday harvest.
  11. Afrodisia A social media LGBTQ+ advocate and influencer, the loud and proud pansexual princess stands out with her large cotton candy pink afro and flashy and fabulously outrageous fashions. This unfortunately made her a perfect target for Pastor Purejoy and his followers. She was abducted and subjected to Purejoy's sadistic conversion therapy. However this treatment backfired and seemed to unlock the hidden mutant potential in Afrodisia. Instead of repressing her sexual drive and desires it intensified them and gave her the ability to project those feelings into others. Freed from Purejoy's clutches by Captain Apollo she was happy to join the Rainbow Warriors. Her abilities allow her to calm enemies and fill them with joy and sexual urges that tend to make them no longer a threat. She is excellent in riot control situations...although sometimes the results can be a bit shocking for the more prudish.
  12. This is one interpretation of the colors of the original flag design. Not sure if we are going for something like this or not.
  13. Beatdown Charli Madison had been a fighter all her life. Trained by her ex-boxer father Chuck "Mad Dog" Madison at the age of 10 she excelled at the sweet science. She dominated as an amateur and was well on her way in the pros when a serious eye injury forced her into early retirement from the ring. During her fighting days she had been exposed to Detroit's criminal world and would eventually become an enforcer and debt collector for The Commission. The Commission was a new organization set to try and take over in Detroit and replace the gangs and the last vestiges of the Mob. To this end they wanted to boost Charli to the next level. She acquired super strength and reflexes through drug enhancements provided by the criminal chemist The Fix. The Commission also had some armor boots and gauntlets made to provide protection and more offensive capability. Lastly her hi-tech shades protect her injured eye and compensate for her blindspot. Her work with the Commission as Beatdown has brought her into conflict with hero team the Motor City 6 and the reformed alien invader turned bouncer named Brawl.
  14. Thought I would throw an image out there to try and rekindle this thread. Maybe we loosen things up a bit and just forgo the picking winners deal and just let people post ideas and their own images if they wish.
  15. Continuing with the Legion of Progress before we move to the GGM's. Avant Guardian Nestor Delgado is an artist who through experimentation with a wide variety of techniques discovered his bizarre creations have the power to greatly change those who view and experience them. He first started using his art as therapy for people with psychological issues. The results were extraordinary in helping these individuals. Next he got involved in criminal rehabilitation and again had unprecedented positive results. He has continued to expand his reach and help people with his wholly unique works of art. He has attempted to pass on his techniques and skills, but there seems to be something special about him...hidden mutant ability, magic, spiritual influence? No one can say, but he is determined to continue to aid humanity's growth and transcendence with his abilities.
  16. Bravado Germán Torres was a hero who operated in Los Angeles in the late 90s and was well known for his cocky wise cracking swagger and for being a charming flirtous ladies man. The press often seemed more interested in who he was involved with romantically than what supervillain he fought. Even back then however there were some rumors of unsavory and possibly sexual aggressive behavior. These came to nothing however as his fame and status allowed him to dodge any ramifications or consequences. This all changed in 2009 when his former sidekick Bravura spoke out about how he had groomed her as a teen and this led to a sexual relationship. This opened the floodgates with many of his former fans, and even women he had rescued from danger telling similar stories of predatory behavior. Rumor has it that when this news broke his Hero Force teammate Headstrong attempted to attack Bravado and only the intervention of Gold Rush and Jetwyld staved off any violence. Hero Force management attempted damage control by transferring him to a European branch of the team, but his reputation followed and he was forcibly removed from the premises by Scarlet Fury...via the 10th floor window. Disgraced and shunned by the hero community, media, his former agents, sponsors and general public he retreated from society. Now he is a shameful black mark in heroic history that earned a rightful spot in the Legion of Cancelled Heroes.
  17. Masayoshi Hiromu Okada's family had served as protectors of the Nagata family for many generations. He was highly trained in various martial arts and both traditional and modern combat techniques and tactics, but these formidable skills failed him when Silent Assassin and Bloodless Assassin killed his current charge Akira Nagata. Okada left the service of the Nagata family in shame, but vowed revenge on the ninja. He has joined the Samurai as a warrior without a master, but with a mission of righteous justice.
  18. Mozambique Driller Mark Rosseau is a ruthless mercenary who is often tasked by TUSK to eliminate law enforcement officials, rival poachers and really anyone that gets in the groups way as it operates. He also helps on the hunts as well, but prefers fighting against targets that can shoot back. He carries a pair of heavily customized high caliber pistols that he is incredibly deadly with usually employing his signature 'two to the body, one to the head' technique.
  19. Deviates a bit from my backstory for the character, but I think it works very well.
  20. Blues Man A seemingly supernatural force in the form of a wizened stooped over man in a rumbled brown suit, threadbare trilby and wearing a pair of cheap shades who simply appeared one day on Maxwell Street. He works magic with a beautiful red Gibson guitar and harmonica and his music is able to create a variety of effects on anyone who would attempt to harm or take advantage of the poor or down trodden citizens of the Windy City.
  21. Welcome to the thread. Not too much at all and I appreciate that level of detail and background to flesh out the hero.
  22. Tigre Blanc Kirby Pierre was a bonvivant getting by on charm and good lucks in his native France for years. He eventuslly began a business of transporting luxury yachts and this brought him to Hong Kong. While there he fell in with a smuggling ring. He was betrayed by them and left for dead only to be discovered by a ninja assassin who was hired to kill the smugglers. The ninja was going to end Pierre's life, but realized he could use him for information. Pierre healed and gave the ninja details on the operation , but also requested that he train him and allow him to help kill the men. The ninja complied and with his help he got revenge. Their partnership continued until one day the ninja simply disappeared. Pierre took up the half insulting nickname the ninja had given him and continued on as an assassin for hire. He incorporates the ninjitsu he was taught with savate which he was already adept at.
  23. Draoi As a child living in Belfast Colin Kavanagh was always sick and weakly. However on a visit to his grandparents farm in the country side all his ailments ceased and he became robust and full of energy. As he grew older her realized he had a strong connection to nature and the land itself. He found he could communicate with the animals, plants and earth and he took up the role as defender of nature assuming the Irish name for druid. This put him up against corporations trying to abuse and pollute the land as well as hunters. His exploits brought him to the attention of An Dagda, an ancient power of nature that has been corrupted. He managed to battle his foe to a stalemate, but realizing he could use allies sought out and joined Sacred Grounds.
  24. Punga A massive and powerful man of Maori descent who gained his name after the God of sharks, rays and ugly creatures because his many battles left him covered in scars.
