  1. Re: The Spy Factory No prob,B-Boy.
  2. Re: The Spy Factory Looks like Burrito Boy has taken over this thread with a different question then I originally posed... 1. What kind of cohert tech would there be in a Champs universe? 2. What sort of serveillence would be legal in a world with superhumans?
  3. Re: Silver Age Superman One more thing for the disads. Supes has always had a vulnerability to magic. Also,Silver-Age Supes would sometimes pick up a power of the week. One example I remember is Superman creating a wormhole and coming out near a purple sun...once back on Earth he found that by thinking about a thing it would appear in his hand, presumably because of the radiation of said purple sun. Once the radiation faded, so did the things he created. Also, Supes needs a pretty big gadget pool for all those convenient Deus Ex Machina he grabs from the Fortress of Solitude. One of my faves was the flying remote control muzzle he used to take out a mind controller that needed to shout out his commands...
  4. Re: The Spy Factory Actually, I like to get my characters involved with that "crap". I wouldn't say it would get anyone bogged down. If you can't find a way to use 3 letter agencies in your Champs campaign without it bogging things down, then you shouldn't use them at all.
  5. Re: The Spy Factory Let's assume a tech-level and paranormal level of the cannon Champions Universe. What do you think the NSA would be up to...And what would they legally be able to be up to? The 2 needn't be the same.
  6. Re: The Spy Factory I agree, but lets assume that you are answering this question as someone who may have some say as to how the NSA may be able to continue to monitor the USA and the world...
  7. I just finished watching a documentary on the NSA, mostly dealing with 911...anyway,the reason I posted this is the end sentence of the show. How much information is too much information? Well. How much is too much...in a superhero campaign and with super tech. Where is the limit to gaining intel on the world and on the citizens of the USA?

Re: Not Unique The problem is that a world of super-bricks that goes back to the beginning to the evolutionary birth of the human race is really hard to envision. There wouldn't be a monolithic period, per se. Who crares about cultivation and animal husbandry, since no one needs to eat (or breate or sleep). The whole basis of society changes and the cutlure of war would change In a world where noone has to eat or sleep or breathe what is there to gain from a fight. I see democracy becoming the norm early on in the cultural history, as well as the brewing of really potent liquer. If war really becomes the norm...Then weapons developement would be really nasty. I don't want to know what WMDs would be i this new world...
  9. Re: A Super Lucky Gambling Super Hero! The Clairsentience doesn't have to be overt, either. Make the SFX a "Gamblers Hunch". This could work for any game of chance. He may know when to bet play or pass, Know not to play #23 until the wheel feels right...and so on.
  10. Re: A Super Lucky Gambling Super Hero! I'm also a fan of the Clairsentience method of building this character. It's what I would suggest to one of my PCs who wanted this sort af power.

Re: Not Unique I'm not cofused, but could you better define the "long time" that society and the world has been like this...?Are we talking a few decades or a few thousand years...?

Re: Not Unique I think I've been putting way too much though into this, but I do love the alternate history gerne. My problem is, Jack "Crash" Parker is a mutant with full life support,50 STR,50 rPD/50rED,clinging and a real drive for adventure. What the heck would the world look like if EVERYONE didn't need to eat/sleep/breathe and could shrug off plummeting to the Earth at "terminal" velocity (probably called something else on this world). No matter how log a long time is for every one to have these powers, thing would be so drastically differnt. Anyway,Jack would probably love the fact that he wasn't different any more. The fact that most woman are now as tough and strong as him he can buy off a psych lim about not wanting to become intimate with "normal" women (They were WAY too breakable). Hopefully he would find a nice woman and settle down. I stead of his stuntman/acting career, he would probably drive into more serious acting roles and working on the stage. Space exploration would probably be WAY ahead of the world he came from, so he may look into checking out the solar system, or beyond if that is an option...
  13. Re: Champs-What if you had to draft a superpower registration act? If you watched HEROES tonight, you saw how this "More Extreme Version" might be carried out...
  14. Re: Limited Power Campaign Premise QUESTION: How would someone with inhuman beauty build COM 30+ using TK as a special effect. I just had a player build a character with a huge COM, so I thought I'd ask.

  18. Re: Little Powers The Man of a Thousand Faces: He has the ability to change the features of his face (Limited Shapeshift-face only). Limited to 1000 preset faces. All are still human-looking and keep his original coloration. Facial hair still takes the normal time to grow.

  20. Re: Little Powers That is exactly where I got the idea for Bloodeye. Thank you Animal Planet!
  21. Re: Little Powers I've used and NPC named Bloodeye in several super campaigns. He has the ability to shoot a stream of blood from his tear ducts up to 10 meters away. He is also a very skilled accountant. Every time I've had him tryout for the PCs super team they always end up hiring him to be their acountant. He's never actually been used in combat. In combat, I'd have given him a small flash to sight and a bonus to presense attacks.
  22. Re: Steve's Chat Tonight (Weds., January 28) It's a shame that his chat is going to happen during the viewing of the new Lost episode...
  23. Re: the fabulous five I can't wait for the Silver Age Champions book. I am a big fan of that time in comics. I'd have to say that all of my modern Champs campaigns would be described as Tarnished silver, or as one of my players put it, Electroplated steel.
  24. Re: Steve's Chat Tonight (Weds., January 28) I love the word hullaballoo!
