  1. Re: Super Psychos The Invisible Man syndrome is always good. Someone who found Griffin's old formula in an old journal,or something. Invisiblity(always on) and his mind has snapped.
  2. Re: Your Definition Of A Super Hero? Kryptonite is not the Big Blue Boyscouts only vulnerability. He is just as vulnerable to magic and mind control as most everyone else. This is the major reason he lets Batman keep some kryptonite. Supes knows that there are those out there who don't want to kill him, but use him for their own purposes. He is a Superhero.

    Powerless

Re: Powerless Jack "Crash" Parker former mutant brick hollywood stuntman/superhero, now actor/stuntman would take a break before signing on to his next movie. After a quick plane ride and some money thrown at private investigator, he would pay a little visit to a Mr. Zerstroiten and give him the beating of his life. Sure, the old man wouldn't have a clue who Crash was or why he was being beaten. Jack would know. Crash would be careful not to get caught by the authorities. He would probably track down other former supervillain banes of his former existance and give them a good thrashing, too. He would also track down about half his superteam and see if any of them remember or can be made to remember. *Question: What about immortals? Did they die of natural causes maybe centuries before my character had met them? What about Monster Island and other fantastic locals Crash knew of? Are they gone?
  4. Re: [Mythos Supers] Thank you for turning us onto this thread.
  5. Re: How to open a door? Pick a hero who can open the safe. Kidnap their significant other/mother/dog/landlord/mentor, whoever. Threaten to kill/maim/tickle said kidnappee if the hero doesn't open the safe. You can even make the hero bring the contents the villain wants to a specified location. Heck, then frame the hero for the robbery.
  6. Re: Bored of the (Lantern) Rings Hmmm...Roy G. Biv, the first Rainbow Lantern!
  7. Re: Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny Thank you, very much for the vid. I am a big fan of Lemon Demon (The ones who perform the song). Awesome video!
  8. Re: The Super drugs haven't used it yet, but I have a nasty little drug I plan on incorporating into my Champs campaign. It will have a street name of "death" and will be a potent narcotic/halucinogen that is very psychologically addictive. The thing that makes it a super-drug is that it is created and distributed by an ancient Aztec Vampire/Sorcerer. Those who take the drug are VERY susceptible to the Vampires mind control.
  9. Re: World at War!: The Yggdrasil Conundrum If the Runekriegers need a special mystic blade to cut Yggdrasil...how was it cut down and milled into something else? Just my $.02 Grimble
  10. Re: Favorite Green Lantern Kilowog was always my favorite galactic cop with a Power Ring. Not only was he a powerful GL, he was a brilliant inventor, too. Grimble, Protector of sector 1428
  11. Re: Another Brick in the Wall (Tell me about your Brick!) During a test of an experimental bomb, our heroes tank malfunctions and rolls him to ground zero as the bomb goes off... So is the origin of The Human Tank! The Human Tank was my toughest and most powerful brick. He was a Golden-Age hero fighting in Europe during WWII. He had a thick armored metal skin (Tons of rPD/rED and 50% PD dam reduction. His END and REC were very high. STR of 75 with armor peirceing and penetrating to his punches. He also carried a "gun" slung on his back. It was built from the turret of the tank he was in when he became The Human Tank. It was pretty much a 1 shot shell launcher (Sometimes he would carry 1 spare shell).
  12. Re: Another Brick in the Wall (Tell me about your Brick!) My favorite brick to play was Jack "Crash" Parker. He was a mutant and a stunt man by profession. With 50 STR and huge resistant defenses he would take real gun fire and just off of buildings without airbags to land on. This would keep costs down and increase the realism in the shots. He also did gigs like coating himself in napalm like gel and lighting it to be a burning man in a rock video. He also had clinging. His skill set included PS: Stuntman, Acting, and TF: All. The reason I bought all transport familiarities was that he had pretty much crashed any vehicle you can think of for one movie or another. His leaping was bought up to 20", as well. Crash had a super-vehicle. A submersible helecopter. It had a hover mode so he could leap out of it, and into action. Jack was a fun, blue collar brick involved with a flashy Hollywood super group. They needed a reliable brick after theirs was lost mysteriously. The typical "Worlds richest man" in the group actually owned the studio Jack was currently working for. The day they invited Jack to join the group, he had just got a check for $25,000 for the movie stunts he had just completed. The rich hero asked jack how much $ he had made in the last month. Jack pulled out the check signed by the rich hero. Rich hero asked Jack if he wanted to make that much each day. Jack signed on with the group. The only catch to the $25,000 a day pay checks was that Crash had to make sure that rich hero was protected during battles. This was funny since he was the minor brick/weapons master in the group. It was nice working for the Worlds richest man. One Christmas, he gave Jack the mansion next door to his and had a tunnel built between them and an underground super base accessible from both mansions (We both paid character points for it).
  13. Re: What is a name? This thread doesn't seem to be pulling in the posts. I'll see if another name will help. The new hero name is: Litmus
  14. Re: What is a name? Ex Libris: Mortimer Schrupp had always been a social misfit. He prefered books to people. The humiliation and anger from the abuse he took as a weak bookworm in school never really left Mort. It actually grew inside him. Using his genius intelect, photographic memory and blindingly fast reading speed, Mort learned everything he needed to know to be a Master Villain. On his first villainous mission Ex Libris, as he now called himself, bypassed the security and broke into a high-tech research lab so he could build up his arsenal. Upon entering the lab area, Ex Libris found that a VIPER Strike force had beat him to the scene. Angered by the rival villains, mort stealthily set a few of the more volitile experiments to go off in VIPER's faces. once he tied up the VIPER agents, took some of their weapons and equipment and copied the computer files of the lab. Mort called the cops! Ex Libris quickly worked out that having a cover of being a "Super Hero" would allow him access to much more info and super tech. He could also steal the tech from captured villains. Eventually, once he has everything he needs for his Master Plan, he will take on another identity and take over the world! BWAHAHAHAHAH!!!
  15. Re: Open Source Hero Initiative Thanks for sharing this find. Wonderful concept. I have to use this as an NPC hero.
  16. Re: Heroes and Nukes! Maybe I could use Megascale killing damage(1d6 RKA=1million d6 RKA). Then we can have Mega-Armor. Mega-Strength can do Megascale HA damage... (For those of you who are too serious minded, I'm joking...mega-joking)
  17. Re: Heroes and Nukes! I love the whole atom-ripping tech from an alternate universe angle! Thanks!
  18. Re: Heroes and Nukes! The Villain is a Lex Luthor rip-off who has been a most wanted criminal Mastermind since the 40's. Not only has he recently stolen Duplication pad technology. He just set off an EMP enhanced nuke of his own above Stronghold, as the beginning of a massive break-out. The PC plans to get the nuke from an alternate version of himself, who brought it over from his world. The alternate Earth was being overrun by a huge alien armada. They used nukes to take out their own super-base. They had 1 left and brought it with to the PCs Earth, just in case. Near the beginning of next session, the PC will be meeting to discuss the transfer of the nuke. Oh, BTW. The PC currently believes the nuke is 300KT. It is actually enhanced with super-materials and supered-up catalysts to make it a 300megaton bomb!
  19. Re: Heroes and Nukes! By covertly, I meant he doesn't want it known HE did it. Of course the blast itself will be noticed. Hence the consequences. Grimble
  20. Re: Heroes and Nukes! The tentative plan right now is to detonate 1 mile above the island.
  21. I have a question for you smart folks. What would happen if a 300 megaton nuke exploded over an island in the South Pacific? It is thought to be uninhabited, but the PC's know their arch-nemesis has his current base there. First, I want to know what sort of damage would be done. Both in game and in "real" damage description. Next, I like your opinions about what the reaction would be around the world. Politically, the super population, any countermeasures. One of the "heroes" in my group has access to a weapon like this and has a plan to secretly explode it over the island as cohertly as he can. Grimble
  22. Re: Your character gets 50 points for a base Sorry. Double posted for some reason.
  23. Re: Your character gets 50 points for a base Jack "Crash" Parker: Jack would go the X-mansion route. He already has a mansion next door to his bosses mansion. There is already a tunnel connecting the 2 mansions. He'd have a nice sized secure facility built under his mansion. It would need a submarine dock and underwater tunnel leading to the bay (He's based in San Fransisco) for his submersible helecopter. a kick-@$$ computer would be bought to monitor and run the place. No A.I., but powerful. There would be plenty of sensors and cameras. Tons of entertianment systems. A huge library. There needs to be a huge, very secure vault. Jack has gotten a list of "banned" magic items and artifacts from the games Guardian of Magic in this realm. He is always on the lookout for these items and would like a place to put them before he can get them to the Guardian. The vault would probably be bought with plenty of magic suppression. The motor pool would have platforms that can lower his many vehicles from his garage area down into the bases much best mechanics and electronics lab. He'd probably hire a full time "super" mechanic to keep his vehicles up. Grimble
