Republicans are terrified of losing MAGA voters if they ditch Trump. But they can't win a general election with just those -- they need to attract the moderates, which they can't do if they appeal to the extremists.
 
The GOP served themselves this meal. I hope they choke on it.

The voters had their say in 2020 and Trump tried to overturn it.  He doesn't deserve another chance.

This is the same ignorant paranoid crap that's been spread for thousands of years. Only the names of the accused change over time, but the gist of the accusations stays embarrassingly the same.

The documents labeled TS/SCI stand for "Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information."  These documents are so sensitive they can only be viewed in special high-security rooms in high-security installations. This is info that would seriously jeopardize the security of the United States. The kind that, if someone took them without elaborate authorization, stored them in an unsecured location, and then refused to return them, would earn almost anyone a covert interment in an unmarked grave.

Only thing I have to add is something that was kind of terrifying: a Georgia candidate who lost his Primary wanted to bring back the House Unamerican Activities Committee.  I was stunned that anyone would want to resurrect that.  I can't even come close to overstating my objection to something like this.
