  1. Just like the title says. I'm struggling to find a good fillable .pdf sheets for my players, possibly with the 3 corner diagram included. Has anyone come up with a solution? Many thanks in advance!
  2. Yes, when it comes to Multiform. Hovewer, the Variable Power Pool seems to cover that: The modular version treats the Framework as a bag of tricks with never-ending effects, often of the one-after-another variety. This works well for weaponry with varying ammunition (page 93) Being the first edition I'm reading, I can't compare CN with other Hero/Champions games, but I don't find it restrictive; on the contrary, it really seems a vast system. Not difficult in terms of mechanics (even if some clarifications would have helped), but in terms of powers interpretations, combinations and applications. I'm still puzzled by all the examples presented in Chapter 12; If hero system is even less restrictive, I would probably be paralyzed by the amount of choices 😆
  3. First of all, thank you for your answers and most importantly for the warm welcome! Most of my doubts have been cleared up; I may have some questions about specific powers, but I prefer to experiment and see if I can build a hero on my own. I just wanted to add one thing: Makes sense to me, even if I was thinking that a simple Punch attack would have been an eligible choice. The reason why I came up with the “odd stare attack”, instead, is because the text seems to mention something like that, even if it doesn’t go into detail: That’s why confrontations between martial artists often begin with the combatants staring oddly at each other: they’re using Find Weakness and a Presence Attack in a duel of forced hesitation and held actions, to gain the advantage for a devastating strike. (page 200)
  4. Hi everyone, new to the forum and, well, to the whole Hero/Champions games. I bought CN since I followed and played some of Ron’s rpgs. It’s a fascinating system, but a bit crunchier than i’m used to. Bonus points, english is not my native language and I’m an insecure person, so I accumulated a considerable list of newbish questions: - What kind of “single, specific attack” is eligible for Find Weakness? Can my hero just stare long enough his target before striking the killing blow with his demonic katana? Would that be handled with a presence attack or with another mechanic? - Move-by and move-through: can someone provide an example of these two maneuvers during a fight? - Can powers be used at, well, lower power? For example, can my hero decide to fire his Blast using 1d6 instead of 4d6? Would that change how much endurance he consumes as well? - Powers additions: do they increase the endurance cost of a power, or do they follow the same logic of advantages and limitations, as clarified by the errata thread? - Can a single power have multiple additions? I would say yes, since they’re not showed in a bulleted list; some of them however seem mutually exclusive, hence my doubts - Frameworks: I believe I got the elemental one, but I still have problems with the other two. For variable power pool: I understand the limit imposed by the pool and the 5 additional point control skill. What about the Control itself? I get that it’s half the Pool, but what’s its use? - Multiform framework: I know it shouldn’t be so hard, but i can’t grasp the whole thing. Can someone provide an example for this one? Specifically, the use in battle and the difference between the “whole-pool trade-off” and the mix-and-match combo menu”. Thanks!
