Pariah got a reaction from Hermit in Impromptu Superdraft II
The time change just kicked in here in the States, meaning that your next pick is about 90 minutes from now. And here's the topic.
Sunday, March 10th: The Shape-Changer
This is a hero who can change their form / appearance in some way. Stretching? Growth or Shrinking? Multiple forms? Turning into another substance? Turning different colors? More than one of the above? That's the character we're looking for here.

Pariah got a reaction from Matt the Bruins in Foods for those that just don't care anymore
ot this book for Christmas, forgot about it asa soon as we got back from Colorado. Rediscovered it a few days ago and began reading. There's a lot of crazy recipes in here, but Dylan says he only included the ones that taste good (with the exception of five really awful ones at the end). Gonna have to try some of these soon.

Everytime I hear they want to remake that movie I cringe thinking of what someone else's "vision" would do to it.

Pariah reacted to Hermit in Impromptu Superdraft II
She flew over the city, still irked at her cousin. The environment was important to her, personally, not just as an Atlantean. So when a major American city had requested an ambassador from Atlantis, her cousin had asked her to put her college degree to good use. Was it near the ocean? She had specifically asked about oceans, but oh Namor just said "Miles and miles of coast not so far away"... and THAT is how she got tricked into going to Chicago! Honestly, it wasn't any worse than New York City for pollution, probably better, but while the Great Lakes were, well, great, she still steamed that she had been tricked into signing on before she got the full story. Worse, the Blue Sun Corporation was putting out not so subtle misinformation campaigns that she wasn't sure how to counter. In a more just world, she could have punched their sleazy mouthpiece across the room during that town council meeting when he made comments about Atlantis being a foreign influence uncaring of America's 'needs', as if the USA wasn't also in danger from climate change and so much more!
Imperius Rex but she almost hoped a supervillain would show up. She wanted to hit something, hard!
Sounds of gunfire caught her attention, and she flew down to investigate. Below, a costumed man was tumbling, almost dancing, between bullets with an agility that was rare, even by her no longer a rookie standards! 'Wow'" She thought as he inadvertently turned a very toned back side to her to close on a gunman. He was fighting them with sticks? Well, not like she hadn't seen that before. She looked about for more trouble makers and caught another scumball racing for a vehicle hidden under a tarp. Something was odd about its shape. When he moved the tarp she figured out why. The guy was trying to get into a tank? Where had a street gang or whatever this was gotten a TANK?
Before the guy could lift the hatch, she landed on top of the tank in his way and looked down. The would be tankie blinked, and said "feet?"
"Dainty feet," She declared "Now with new wing action," And she kicked him against a wall to see who would be next.

Here's today's selection.
Thursday, March 7th: Wings
Pretty much what it sounds like. These heroes either have wings, or are somehow associated with someone or something that does.

The knock on the apartment door was rather early in the morning. It was firm, and not particularly seeking to be quiet. The middle aged man opened the door to see two men in the entry way, wearing matching suits and gloves. They looked close to his age, but it was hard to be sure, for there was an impassivity to it.
"Sir," one said , "You're just the man we were looking for."
"May we come in?" Said the other.
The tenant frowned, "If you guys are from the FBI telling me once more that my daughter 'ran away' but you're searching for her, then I don't want to hear it. She wouldn't 'run away'. Something was rotten with that program. That internship was fishy and I..."
"The FBI?" One gave a too stiff smile, "Oh no, we're not with the FBI"
"Though it is nice to find out they're... on script" The other said.
"We're with the Blue Sun Corporation," They said in Unison.
The worried father backed up, which was a mistake, as the two ... let's call them executives, took this as an invitation to come inside, and did.
One's eyes fell to a coaster on a table, and the can in that coaster, "We see you're a regular customer. WONDERFUL, perhaps we could get you some ...discounts."
"We like to be seen as a ... positive influence here in Chicago and beyond," the second agreed, "But you've made that hard, sir. Very hard."
"Malicious gossip, could be seen as slander" The other said.
"I just want my daughter back!" The man said.
"Oh, yes sir, so does the company. Please, sit down, we'd like you to... listen to something." The first one explained, gesturing to a chair and looking at his companion who was reaching one blue gloved hand into his own pocket to pull out whatever they wanted him to listen to.

Organization: The Men In Black (MIB).
Specifically, a branch of the MIB (one that I am creating here out of whole cloth), the science & technology arm, dubbed Humans In White Labcoats (HIWL). FNAL is where much of HIWL's investigations into off-world technology, especially those into the exotic physics of interstellar drives and subnuclear power generation, takes place. Of course, not everyone in HIWL are humans, and almost none of them wear white labcoats most of the time. Some superheroes are granted affiliate credentials with the HIWL.

Pariah got a reaction from Cancer in Impromptu Superdraft II
Holy forced spontaneity! It's the Impromptu Superdraft II!
What: This is a supers draft. You'll be making one selection each weekday, starting tomorrow (Monday, March 4th) and running until Friday, March 15th. All selections are exclusive.
Who: All the usual rules about different versions of the same character apply. In short, different characters with the same name are fine; different versions of the same character are out. (For example, if Ant-Man Hank Pym is drafted, you could still draft Ant-Man Scott Lang, but not Yellowjacket Hank Pym.)
When: You will make a pick each weekday, starting tomorrow, at noon Eastern Time. No, I don't know what time that is where you live. Google probably does. We will draft over the weekend. A poll will be posted on or around March 22nd; you are encouraged to use the intervening week to finish up picks, post fiction, etc.
NOTE: The United States moves to Daylight Savings Time on Sunday morning, March 10th. That means we set our clocks forward one hour. This will adjust when you get to draft halfway through. Sorry, not my idea.
How: Each day you will make a selection (usually a character) to fit a certain archetype or role. Everyone will select the same type each day...but you won't know what that type is until a couple of hours before it's time to make the pick. The description of who or what you're choosing each day will be revealed no later than 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time on the day in question. Picks that do not fit the daily theme will be disqualified. I will act as final arbiter of whether or not a pick fits the daily theme, but I am open to reasonable persuasion.
Why: Because we haven't done a Superdraft yet this year. Why not start this way?
I think that pretty well covers it. If you have questions along the way, feel free to ask. In keeping with long established tradition, your first pick (i.e., Monday's pick) is the location for your story. The theme for Tuesday's pick will be revealed Tuesday morning.
Enjoy, everyone!
