IMO it started a little slow, but once it got to the big MCU twist reveal it really started to cook.

Ugh.  Fantastic Four casting is out there, they picked Adam Driver as Mr Fantastic and Margot Robie as Sue Storm.  I just cannot see this working.  I do not know the other two (Paul Mescal as Johnny Storm, and Daveed Diggs as Ben Grimm) so I can't comment on them other than eyerolling Diggs as Jewish Ben Grim, but he spends most of his time as rocky and orange so it is not that big a deal to me.  But Robie is like 10 years older than Driver, and I cannot envision them in those roles.  This feels more like a stunt casting to get attention than great choices for the roles.

But who knows, I've been wrong before.  I thought Michael Keaton was a horrible choice for Batman.

It just feels like the FF are cursed or something

You should show us where you are, give us an idea of what you are thinking about.  There are LOADS of published powered armour characters, you could get quite generic help or focused, depending on what you are trying to achieve.

My halfling character had been lost for decades in the astral planes with a handful of cantrips and no companionship. So he kept his clothing together with Mending spells and kept himself clean, and otherwise amused himself, with Prestidigitation. And he built up decades' worth of unrealized comedic potential which spews forth in a somewhat uncontrollable fashion.

After coming back to the prime material plane, he teamed up with several others for adventures including a female Firblog druid (who is being played a first time rpg player). As something of an OCD habit, he uses Prestidigitation to clean himself and his companions anytime the story indicates they might have gotten dirty.

Our travels brought us to an abandoned temple where we encountered some rather large spiders (of course everything is rather large from my perspective but that's neither here nor there). After killing a number of spiders, we located an intact egg sac and determined we'd likely have time to get it back to town and sell it before the spiders hatch. But the egg sac was up high on a wall and the firblog was the only one tall enough to reach it...but she refused because she's scared of spiders and touching the egg sac is icky.

But through a lot of cajoling, we convinced her to take down the egg sac and drop it in  my backpack.

As soon as it was done, the player turned to me with a horrified look on her face and pleaded, "Prestidigitate my hands! Prestidigitate my hands!"

Without missing a beat, I cast Prestidigitation and told her that her hands are now purple (the spell is highly versatile and besides cleaning things can make change colors).

The player gets this even more horrified look on her face as she realizes that not only are her hands now purple but her hands are still dirty from touching the egg sac.

"Clean my hands! Clean my hands!"

"Oh, okay, I can do that," in an innocent tone of voice and I clean her hands.

"My. Hands. Are. Purple!", very unclear whether this is in character or not.

"Well, you know, the color only lasts for an hour. Here, let me," and I cast Prestidigitation again. "Now your hands smell like apples."

"I don't want my hands to smell like apples!"

For me it was mostly how my players responded to the changes. I tried running campaigns with humans only or with races other than the standard demihuman races. Neither were warmly received by my group. My players are satisfied with standard fantasy tropes and races.

I’ve spoken with a heck of a lot of voters over the last 28 years who sincerely think that defaulting on the debt is responsible governing.

Admittedly most of them haven’t understood what the debt ceiling is and what it does...and don’t accept what I say when I explain it to them in detail.

But even with ones who understand, they think it’s better to do a complete default then start over with zero debt than to either continue to accumulate debt or to slowly pay down the existing debt.

And they don't change their minds when I explain, in detail, exactly why that's a catastrophically horrible idea.

I said earlier that if I saw anymore awesome Ukrainian tractor stories (after stealing Russian equipment and pulling light rail during a power outage) I'd make Ukrainian Tractor Guy a Dark Champions character. So here you go, Victor Tractorvich drove tanks in the Red Army just before the Soviet Union collapsed. Between that and decades on his family farm there's no equipment he can't work on. Killdozer? Don't tempt him.

Unfortunately, all that smells way too much like the old "literacy tests" that were used to keep blacks from voting, and were declared unconstitutional a while back.  I appreciate the sentiment in the arguments you make, but local power structures will always enforce things like this in order to maintain their own power.
