    MMM Cover

MMM COVER Ladies and gents, thank you all tremendously for the kudos, it really means a lot to me. I'm just happy to be doing art for a living. I think my contact info is in my prifile or whatever if you guys ever have any questions I'll be happy to answer. Thanks again folks, you make me happy. - Andy Cremeans Florida Art Mafia Court Jester
  2. HAHAHAHA! This whole conversation is absurd, I love it. When I write my autobiography, I'm going to title it: Andrew Cremeans - In Defense of Boobies: The memoires of an artist. That is unless Jonny has already copywrited that for his book.
  3. Boobs. Being a Hero Artist, and a really close friend of Jonathan Davenport, I just have to say two things. 1. Jonny's not 14, or a pervert, the man's just a fan of boobies, as am I, unfortunatly I haven't gotten too many cheesecake assignments yet, otherwise, the boobies would be flying all over the place. 2. Am I reading that there are people surprised by the amount of cleavage in print media geared to young adults? To quote the poet Jimmy Pop..."Hooray for Boobies." Okay, now that I've painted myself as a professional artist....
  4. Re: Fred One more thing, thank you for noticing the spots on the shoulders. I happen to think a few freckles are quite sexy on a human, and even sexier on an alien. *man I'm a nerd.* If you have any other questions, post them and I'll happily answer them on Monday when I get back in town. Thanks again for the kind words folks, - Andrew Cremeans
  5. Re: Fred There definitely is a story behind this girl, I just don't know if I'm allowed to tell it. J/K Actually, one of the cool things about working with Hero has been that there have been characters that have been flowing in my head for the last 15 years or so, (whether I had intended them to be in a novel, a comic book, who knows) that just never went anywhere. Occasionally I'll get an assignment where I think one of those characters could fit nicely, and just being able to let them see the light of day is rewarding enough. This girl in question was an alien called 'Jazbea' in a book I wrote a long time ago that never went anywhere. I fell in love with the character so much that I've been trying to fit her into anything I could. I think the art order for this pic called for "Seductive Alien coming on to you and not letting you out the door." So I thought "Boioioiong, Jazbea." Funny enough though, in my story she had a scaredycat robot friend named "F.e.e.b" that I just happened to fit into the illustration on page 147. (F.e.e.b. appears in one of the Champions books too, or part of him anyway.) It's just a huge liberating freedom to have preconceived ideas getting published, it lets you get them out and move on to new and better ideas. There are hidden things and stories in just about every single one of my pictures. I can't speak for all the artists but I know I've talked to Steve about hiding relatives names, personalities or likenesses into the books. It's always nice to hand your brother in law one of the books to look at the artwork and to see his face when he realizes that he's now a Star Commander of a Space Ship. I've had the privilege of working with and being really close friends with Brad Nault for five years now at my day job, and before he started illustrating for Hero, I drew him as Phoenix in CKC, so if any of you wonder what artist Brad Nault looks like, check out CKC. (Maybe not as muscled, but yes he ACTUALLY SHOOTS FIRE FROM HIS EYES I'VE SEEN IT!) *Sigh* Anyways, short story long, Jazbea. *cat calls* - Andrew Cremeans
  6. Guys thank you so much much, you've made my week. I am really proud of this book beause I ended up doing 29 illustrations in about 21 days on top of my day job so it was "fun." I've always looked at role playing game books's artwork and thought that the artists must have forever to work on those illustrations. Nope, these deadlines are tight and most of us have day jobs so I've come to appriciate every single artists' artwork in every one of these books. Working for Hero has been a blessing because of how cool Steve and Andy Mathews are, it makes life a lot easier. I'm currently working on painting the cover to "Spacer's Toolkit." so don't fret, you'll see a lot of these guys in full living color soon enough. Thanks again ladies and fellas, - Andrew Cremeans P.S. To be touted as anybody's favorite artist other than the people I have to pay off is always an added bonus.
