  1. Re: WWYCD:Nightmares of Past Futures Well if thier story confirms that it was odd attacks on the girl's family and the death of her family that caused the girl's future rise, Twilight would suggest rather tersely that they refrain from attacking her family lest they cause the event they're trying to prevent in the first place. Of course Twilight is rather protective of children and would be very annoyed by thier attempts to slay one. Of course as he's not an idiot himself, Twilight would find it practical to keep an eye on the girl and try to steer her in the direction of goodness if he can.
  2. Re: WWYCD?: The PRIMUS Auction Twilight is there to make sure no villains show up, but mostly he's there to bid on the arcade games and pinball machines. He's just a teenager after all and he needs SOMETHING to hold his attention when the city is quiet and Lady Midnight won't let him hook up his PS2 in the lair. If he happens to have enough cash, he might try for one of the Ferraris. Avalon is DEFINETLY trying for the one of the Ferraris and easily has the cash to afford it too. The stereo system is pretty nice too but she already has one, the Nest Leader's one might make a good Christmas gift for her little sister however. Naturally if supervillains show up, she will be more then happy to fight them off.
  3. Re: from little plot seeds, mighty games do grow: Share you ideas! TERROR BEYOND IMAGINING! Tappan Arkwright III or rather the Twin, goes to Telios to free himself from his weak willed brother and get himself a new monsterous body with which to wreak havoc in the name of his foul Edomite masters. The Twin's new body is indeed quite powerful indeed but the true horror is the payment by which The Twin was able to commission this new body from Telios. For you see, The Twin hadn't enough money to pay Telios in cash so he gave Telios something else the mad scientist desired, namely a DNA sample from an Edomite!! Having just recently aqquired another valuble DNA sample, Telios combined the two and created his latest army of monsters from them and let them loose. Now those monsters are rampaging through the Campaign City. What do the heroes do when faced with creatures weilding the foul magics of the Edomites and possessing the mighty power of Grond?
  4. Re: Stephen King characters in HERO How would you build Travelling Jack's ability to travel through the Other Realm [or whatever they called that dimension in The Talisman] and travel through the real world at the same time? Is that covered with Extra Dimensional Movement or do you have to build some sneaking power construction to pull it off?
  5. Re: Stephen King characters in HERO Oh! Oh! Could you do a write up for the kid from the Talisman as well? Please? Pretty Please? With sugar on top?
  6. Re: Stephen King characters in HERO I seem to recall that there was one intelligence behind the powers of the Overlook Hotel, though admittedly it has been awhile since I read the book. As I recall there was some talk of the hotel manager as the bartender was trying to convince Jack Torrance to kill his family.
  7. Re: Stephen King characters in HERO Ahh yes, him I know. I just haven't ever heard of him referred to as the Walkin' Dude before. Yes he would be a very nasty villain indeed though I can't see any superhero world letting him hang out amongst them unhindered for long. Not with the sort of stuff he's likely to pull. Can't imagine any Batman type character letting him get away with the stuff he pulled in EYE OF THE DRAGON and trying any tricks from THE STAND would bring all the Archmage types running. Of course, it would be a fun story while it lasted.
  8. Re: Stephen King characters in HERO Which Stephen King character was that?
  9. Re: Hulk Smash: What is your favorite version?
  10. Re: Hulk Smash: What is your favorite version? That was actually Spider-Man who did that. Mr. Fantastic tried at first but it wasn't working so Spidey shoved him out of the way and said "leave this to the experts" and preceeded to diss up the Hulk for the desired effect.
  11. Re: Alternate Earth #23(?): Living In The Wild, Wild West Twilight would be essentially the same, though he'd likely not have as big a CVK and would probably use six shooters instead of a bow and arrow and he'd likely have a bit of that steampunk stuff himself though now cyber type stuff. I'm picturing him as an odd mix of the Lone Ranger and Jonah Hex, only with no scars.
  12. Re: National Warrior Archetypes Canada's warrior archetype would obviously be the Mountie. The strong competent men of the law who never rest untill they catch their crook. Decked out in the classic red uniform of course, even though that hasn't been worn for actual field work for a century or so I think, now it's just a dress uniform. Oh and they're always completely polite at all times.
  13. Re: WWYCD? #108 (I think)- Clash of the Titans Twilight, Mercury and Prodigy would definetly try and minimise collateral damage and protect civilian lifes as best they possibly could. Twi and Mercury are alas quite underpowered when facing the likes of Destroyer or Takofanes but they would summon other heroes in an attempt to defeat them. Prodigy might try and reprogram some of the Destroids to attack both Destroyer and Takofanes or maybe try to come up with some really badass gadget to fight them with but otherwise acts like the other two. Avalon is a teenage mage who's the daughter of a really powerful sorcerer named Baron 13 who's an archmage candidate and his wife who's a Sidhe related to Oberon [second cousin I belive]. Her reaction is thusly: MOOOOOOMMMMMMMYYYYY!! DADDDDDDYYYYYYYY!!!! HEEEELP!!
  14. Re: Favorite Published Villains This isn't meant to be a debate, I just don't think he's as bad as you say is all and certainly not as bad as the characters from European Enemies. I'm not saying he's the best character ever or anything just that Arcane in a setting where heroes start on 700 pts doesn't other me as much as, for example, Harbringer of Justice in a setting where characters start on 250 pts or less. I'm just saying I disagree with you is all. Our viewpoints differ in this instance, it's no big thing really.
  15. Re: The 'Elminster' of Hero: Harbringer of Justice? And now he's got LIBRA for backup as well, like BMK needs a superteam.
  16. Re: Favorite Published Villains Ummm from what I read in Galactic Champions, Arcane is meant to be a behind the scenes villain not a slugfest opponent. At least that's what the campaign uses for that character seemed to suggest to me. Besides, if you can't find another way to use him then just having him blast people maybe you aren't trying, no offence. Anyway, you're entitled to your opinion and thanks for sharing it.

    Wwycd #96

Re: Wwycd #96 First priority for Twilight is helping Hummingbird out, getting her to safety and what not and making sure she gets the best possible treatment. If neccesary he'll stay with her to make certain this happens. Then he'll gather up as many heroes as he can find and sally forth to deliver a righteous smackdown upon the beastie.
  18. Re: WWYCD #94: The Nar Cola endorsement Twilight uses the person making the offer to practise his Batman-esque glare on and politely declines. Should the person get persistent Twilight will tell him off.
  19. Re: WWYCD #90: Brainwave This would easily boost Twilight up into the supergenius strata, about 40 INT if I recall his original stat correctly and Twilight would use that knowledge to continue fighting crime. Now that learning things like tactics and psychology are so very easy for him he will use his advanced intelligence to become a master in both subjects in order to use that knowledge against the criminals he despises so much, all the while raising his detective skills to Holmes-ian levels. In addition to that, he'll be upgrading and improving his old gadgets and making even more powerful newer gadgets, all to battle crime in his home town. As for the downside: well all the criminals, they'll hates him forever Precious, yes they wills.

    Wwycd? #82

Re: Wwycd? #82 I have no idea how a 16 year old adreniline junky could help out in this situation, even a very competent one like Twilight. Also, since the relationship between his mentor and the government is somewhat shaky, he likely wouldn't be asked.
  21. Re: Rogues Gallery Still, bad day when everybody's hunted shows up all at once. Actually, that could get kinda funny. I'd pay to see Mechanon and Destroyer in the same room. Not that bad really. Considering the egos and attitudes of thier hunteds, if they all showed up at once they'd most likely begin beating on each other and thus making the heroes' job MUCH easier.
  22. Re: Rogues Gallery Twilight only has a couple people that qualify as his rougues gallery, the rest are people he shares with his mentor Lady Midnight. Mr. Dark is his main villain, which is not surprising because he's Twilight's daddy. Needless to say, Twilight has some parental issues, mostly stemming from his father's criminal activities as an evil geneticist. Oh yes and as the name suggests, he tries to emulate the villain from Ray Bradbury's novel, Something Wicked This Way Comes. Mr. Dark is rarely seen but always a pain, has no write up as of yet. VIPER: During Twilight's days of travelling, before he encountered his mentor, he encountered these guys. In fact they tried to recruit him as an agent at one point as part of an experimental VIPER project intended to turn the homeless youth population of America into a resource for them. Needless to say the relationship has gone downhill from there. Bad Penny: The luckiest woman in the world. Basically a woman who uses her phenomonal luck to rob banks and such, fortunately for everybody she's not interested in world domination or the luck. She is however interested in Twilight and the fact that he's sixteen doesn't bother her much. To complicate things, he's rather fond of her also. This is a rivalry that likely keeps his mentor up nights.
