  1. Re: CHAR: Winter I never read much of the IMAGE stuff and I'm totally unfamiliar with this character, but you sure did an impressive write-up. Interesting set of powers! I'd probably get rid of the mental defense.
  2. Re: WWYCD: A Damsel Who Doesn't Want To Be Rescued... I really think we should focus on good role-playing and excellent story-telling. Which in your case did not function. A bad example of story-telling in comic books being the Ms. Marvel story arc presented above. Milkman you seem to be one of those who try to encourage good role playing. In my opinion, even if it is in a virtual world of gameplay, we should somehow stick to morale and ethical behaviour on the sides of the PCs. Think you would agree on that. Lucius, you presented great story twists. I imagine you are a great GM, with a fine feeling for those story lines that occur in comic books over and over again. Must be a lot of fun to be part of your gaming group. I just loved the ideas you had.
  3. Re: WWYCD: A Damsel Who Doesn't Want To Be Rescued... To me the whole idea of this scenario was to catch the heroes off-guard by saying she wanted to stay with the evil overlord. Now what would the reaction be? To come up with serious stuff like rape is a totally other question. I would have never ever thought about it. Playing should be fun; though we have weapons and even murder from time to time, that is more in line with genre conventions than rape. Shame on the GM and the player for misbehaving in such a manner. Milkman, you were right to leave such a gaming environment! Now on with it: did the evil overlord promise her a thousand suns as a wedding present? Now he has to conquer some more to fulfill his promises.
  4. Re: The Tiger Squad Sourcebook (Fan Project) The Undying Tulku - former archmage of Earth (Mystic Masters - 4th editon) he's from Tibet actually, but ... chinese territory!
  5. Re: Doctor, Doctor! It's a genre convention to me. Academic titles, military ranks, nobilitity titles; all that stuff sets them apart from ordinary man. For my campaign: Doc Tronic, Crazy Doc, Dr. Evilution and many others
  6. Re: Etrigan's Arts Great Artwork! Void and Solar being my favorites though.
  7. Re: [CHAR]The Green Knight just kidding, of course
  8. Re: [CHAR]The Green Knight you could change his appearance based on sean connery in this hilarius movie from the 80's: Sword of the Valiant: The Legend of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084750/ it just goes with the eco-theme sorry, I couldn't find any pics

Patriot/Avatar: - Powered Armor: Artillery (heavy gunman of The Confederates) Speedster: Black Flash (of The Outlaws) Weapon Master: Weapon Master!!! (of The Dakota Black Knights)
  10. Re: WWYCD The aliens are here The First Ladies Primadonna: Oh no, Dr. D's voice is pure torture. I cannot stand him. Do we really need him? We do? Oh my god! He should use a voice modulator then that turns everything he utters in a nice tenor or bariton! Primaballerina: I refuse to work with that guy. He will not coordinate my dance of death. I will stun the aliens with my grace, beauty and my lethal martial arts, the ballerina jutsu. Wait... maybe he could set up a sound system and play some fine music, that would aid to my fighting skills. Maybe there is a way... Diva: That man is interesting. Sure, he's evil as hell, but he sure knows how to make an impression. And power makes a man sexy, don't you think. But his looks, his looks...awful. He needs a stylist. I could do wonders for him. Besides, we need him, right?
  11. Re: [CHAR]Mindwrecker He is too powerful. Would rip apart my characters! And his mental defense?......it's OK!
  12. Re: WWYCD: A Damsel Who Doesn't Want To Be Rescued... Rescue Team: The First Ladies Primadonna: (mad) Nooooo! All this galactic voyage for nothing? You little unthankful b****! I almost lost my sonic voice for you. Primaballerina: (controlled) I do not understand you, yet I respect your choice. If it is your own free will, we will return to earth without you. But don't expect us to come for a second time. What are you gonna do after the defeat of Mr Big, which is about to happen inevitably? Bah, I just don't understand. Diva: (angry) Just look at my clothes. They're all ruined and messy. I even got a drop of sweat on my face, uugh. Just for you! And now you don't wanna come with us? ...(change of voice, soft spoken) But on the other hand, I can understand you. He's a powerful man and that's sexy. He's ugly too, but who cares. And you look so good in your new underwear. Bye honey! ... (angry again) Hey, Big Cosmo, don't look at me like that and get the smile off your face.
  13. Re: [CHAR]The Green Knight I like him! But... guess what...I would drop the mental defense. And, well, the name...the name...it just doesn't do it for me, but I can't think of any other. So, yeah, The Green Knight! I think the concept of am minor metahuman enhanced with power armor is really great. Could get the attention of some characters of mine.
  14. Re: [Character] The Black Widow Give one of the swords to her new sidekick Widowmaker!
  15. Re: [CHAR]The Black Widow OK! Since I'm not up to date with 5th edition (still use the BBB), I cannot go into detail with the build-up. Every character seems to be much stronger these days (pointwise). So why does she have two swords? Wouldn't one be enough? Why does she have Mental Defense and additional EGO ? Even a powerful villain should have some weak spots. And pew... DEX33, that's an awful lot in my campaign. But don't get me wrong, I like her. I would just tone her done a little bit.
  16. Re: CHAR: Midnight Sun Good character and interesting concept! But why does she have Mental Defense? From her Power Armor?
  17. Re: Fairy Tale Challenges? I instantly had an idea of who the whisperer was, but he is on a rampage across the United States. Otherwise it would fit right into character.
  18. Re: Fairy Tale Challenges? Wow! Korvar, great ideas! But in my campaign these feats are up to gods not heroes. I would go for a mixture between known places or artefacts and new story arcs. 1- The heroes arrive at asgard via the bifrost bridge, where they meet the guardian of Asgard Heimdall. Heimdall greets them in a friendly manner, because he can see and hear far and has heard of their heroic deeds. Heimdall assigns them a quest. His horn, the Gjallarhorn has been stolen, and the heroes must retrieve it. If the Gjallarhorn is blown, it will announce the end of the world, Ragnarok. He gives the heroes his horse Gulltopr, who will carry them to Jotunheim to steal back the horn. 2- In Asgard the heroes will find the garden of Idun, the goddess who grows the apples, that give the gods their immortality. Her garden is a mess, because Tanngrisnir and Tanngnjost, the goats of Thor, have completely wrecked it. Now Idun asks the heroes for help. Capture the goats, but do not harm them in any way. Otherwise their owner, who happens to have a bad temper, will be quite upset. And by the way, what happens if one of your heroes gets hungry and tries one of those delicious apples? 3- Arriving at Valhalla, Odin assigns them their third quest. The dead warriors in Valhalla drink milk from the goat Heidrun, standing on the roof of walhalla. Heidrun has an infection and her milk has become undrinkable. Now it's up to the heroes to cure the goat. Perhaps a herb from the realm of the dark elves will help, or a scale from the Midgard Serpent, or drop of dew from Nifflheim? Think of something scary and extremely dangerous! That should be a trip your heroes will not forget for a long time.
