  1. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Ok, I love this Quasimoto mage. How do you come up with this stuff? Kudos, big time! Mags
  2. Re: Superhero Images I like it. M
  3. Re: Superhero Images Thanks, guys. I really appreciate the feedback. It's been awhile since I sat down to draw. I need to get back in the swing of things. Mags
  4. Re: Superhero Images My stuff starts out on paper, then I scan it to color it in Photoshop. I used hand color all my stuff, but apparently it's not acceptable some places. The original sketch is around here somewhere, but you don't want a clone pic... do you? If Ultra's Player rejects the pic, I'll reuse the pose for Hyperion. Otherwise, I'll just do a new one, ok? Mags
  5. Re: Hero Machine Thread I think it's ComicArtist. I have the program, but it's broken and won't load a body to start. Mags
  6. Re: Superhero Images Thanks. I already submitted the pic to the GGU as Ultra, though. I'll do a different one for Hyperion. I need to go read his description first. Cheers, Mags
  7. Re: Superhero Images Here's a pic I did for one of the characters who used to be a PC in my PBeM and is now an NPC until I can write him out. It's not the official pic because the Player doesn't even know I've been working on it. Ultra is a Superman knockoff.
  8. Re: Hero Machine Thread Wow! That Galactichero #1 is awesome! Mags Edit: What program did you use? Oh, wait, is that Comic Hero?
  9. Re: Superhero Images Right there with you, friend. I'm still wearing black. Mags
  10. Re: Herophile Fantasy art Most excellent! Mags
  11. Re: Herophile Fantasy art By the way, if you're interested, follow the linkage to my art page: Linkage Cheers, Mags
  12. Re: Herophile Fantasy art Intersting idea... photographing miniatures for art to represent characters. I wish I thought of that. Mags
  13. Re: Is TK too expensive? Also, the advantage to using TK over, say, a Stretched punch, is that if it triggers a Damage Shield, the attacker won't get targeted. Then there is the indirect aspect. Mags
  14. Re: Hero Machine Thread I posted a bunch of these in the main art thread... but I had to remove them when the board limited our attachments. Dozens and dozens of character ideas. I still have them all on a CD I burned. Mags
  15. Re: Entangle Abuse I'd say that this Entangle would have to be bought as Continuous in order for it to work the way the Player says it does, otherwise, anyone entering the area after the Entangle was created would only be walking on top of it. See, you cast a net and it falls to the ground... then you walk over it (or around it) but you aren't entangled in it. Either that, or buy it as a Sticky Entangle. Then if an opponant attacks him and connects, the Entangle might work... Mags
  16. Re: A Thread for Random Musings . I think I just saw a tumbleweed rollin' by... Mags
  17. Re: What Fantasy/Sci-Fi book have you just finished? Please rate it... Just finished reading The Da Vinci Code. Again. For the second time. Ok, It's a quick read. Should be a movie within a year or two, me thinks. Mags

She is the only daughter of a renowned, high-society couple, Mr. and Mrs. Osmund Griswald. Penelope's older, rebellious brother, Edmund, was disowned recently, so she is now the only heir to an immense fortune. Popular in high school, Penelope was the captain of the cheerleading squad and was a definite shoe-in for home-coming queen... that is, until a rival moved into the area and made her school life a living hell. Georgia Rindquist was her name, and the newcomer wanted everything that Penelope had- and set out to make it so. First, Georgia, a computer wiz, framed Penelope for cheating on a her history final which resulted in Penelope getting kicked off the cheerleading squad... then Georgia moved in on Penelope's boyfriend, Donald P. Carlton III, captain of the football team. All of her old friends were so quick to judge Penelope and soon she was ostracized completely. Devastated, Penelope decided to end her misery. She went to the roof of the highest building in the city... she would jump off and it would be all over. Looking over the edge, it suddenly occured to her that she wasn't afraid of the long, long drop. Taking this as a good sign, she stepped off and began to fall. About two-thirds of the way down, Penelope realized she wanted to live! As the ground rushed toward her and the adrenaline kicked in, Penelope's mutant genes were activated and the wind rushed in to gently glide her safely to the ground. She intuitively knew that somehow she had controlled the air around her. After this revelation, Penelope eshewed her old life, finishing school via expensive home tutoring. She practiced with her newfound powers at night when no one could see her swooping and gliding, and blasting the highest treetops for target practice. Having everything she could possibly need in life, Penelope decided to use her powers for good and to help others. Personality/Motivation: Penelope is 18 years old. She earned her highschool diploma through home schooling. She is now taking a few courses through a local community college, even though her parents could put her in any school she wishes, but she doesn't want to get too tied down because it will interfere with her crime-fighting. Where once she was non-chalant, flighty and shallow, Penelope is now head-strong and serious. She views the world through very different eyes than she did a few short years ago. She wants to think the best about everyone but she has trust issues. Penelope has a strong urge to protect the victims who have suffered injustice like she did. She values honesty above all other virtues... and she has caught no less than 26 jumpers since she started patrolling, most of whom were profoundly grateful that she did. Additionally, she has been keeping a close eye on Georgia Rindquist, as Penelope is convinced that Georgia will blossom into a villain some day. Powers/Tactics: Sky-High's tactics are to fly up high into the air, set up a Wind Buffer (FF) around her and Air Blast her enemies. She uses her Wind Tunnel and Wall of Air to protect herself or others against various attacks. She has no sense of group tactics at this stage in the game, but is willing to learn, once she gets past her trust issues. Future Powers Ideas: TK w/ Fine manipulation & Missile Deflection/Reflection Campaign Use: Sky-High can either be a solo hero, or part of a high-powered city-based hero group. Appearance: Ht: 5' 9" Wt: 128 lbs Penelope is tall and thin, almost waif-like, yet she has the right build and good looks to be a model. She has large, brown eyes flecked with amber, and long blonde hair that flies up on the slightest breeze like gossamer strands. She skin is flawless and in spite of her many hours in the sun, never gets more than lightly tanned. Her costume is pink with white trim and her calf-high boots are white.
  19. Heya people! I am working on a PC for my brother's campaign. Her codename is Necrosia; she is a teleporting energy blaster who's powers feed off of her own body on a cellular level. Thus, her END Reserve which powers her MP (Attack powers only) has a Side Effect that causes her COM & CON to drop along with her END Reserve. She has Regeneration on the cellular level too, which means she can come back from the dead. I'm having some trouble getting her down to 350 points, obviously. She is still 122 CP over (I haven't started the Disads yet, so they aren't reflected in the total points). I'm still waiting for my brother to let me know what the major skill-sets are on the other PCs, so I know that her skills will be scaled back. Have a look-see and tell me what you think. Thanks in advance! Mags
