  1. agreed on the double play thing. especially if you take the play mentioned earlier, if the runner beats the throw to first, is there an error? if there is, then why wasn't there on the 1 out should be double play.
  2. on wednesdays aew the young bucks showed footage of the fight between cm punk and Jack Perry. pretty clearl that Punk goes up to him and basically starts it. Punk responded, but truthfully, the video contradicts some of what he says: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/wwe/article-13296397/CM-Punk-AEW-fight-Jack-Perry-Wembley-Dynamite-WWE.html
  3. Yeah, the MLB analyst shows talked about how Boston just kept giving the O's, a world series favorite, extra outs all series. They really miss Trevor Story, it is showing the holes in Dever's defense at 3rd. I also wish baseball would adapt the team error - the popup that falls between 2 -3 guys all standing staring at each 2 feet away other as it lands, as an example.
  4. Apparently the players union is trying to say its because of the pitch clock. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, MLB, DON'T LISTEN. The pitch clock, IMO, is the best rule change to hit MLB in the last 20 years. Games are now actually watchable.
  5. Weird, I recall the Windham and Rotunda as a different tag name, though can't think of it now.
  6. It always saddened me because I was (well, still am) a big Scott Bakula fan and had hopes for that series.
  7. Problem is, with the uptick in velocity nowadays, you have more and more pitchers throwing all out instead of the veteran pacing to get through 7 innings. Now its, get through lineup twice so empty the bucket. I have to believe these things play a factor.
  8. how much to hold the veggie burger part and just add bacon?
  9. So, they are about to become my local team officially, wonderful, as I live in the placerville area and work in Rancho Cordova. On a side note, I am happy with the 4-2 start from my Angels, but up next we will have home and home series with Boston and TB, then apparently have upcoming series with the Reds, Orioles again, Twins and end month with Phillies. If we are close to 500 I would be shocked and thrilled.
  10. Stop Saying That!!!!. On a side note, that scene is brilliant in another way. Every injury that Inigo puts on Count Rugen is a mirror of the ones on him, including the 2 cheek scars. The final of course matching the knife wound he received when he arrived.
  11. I recently have been watching the Zorro series on Prime. Done in spanish, but dubbed English. Some minor changes to the story but I have enjoyed the first 9 or so episodes and the changes work so far. Recommend it for fans of Zorro.
  12. I am still impressed that the same actor playing Paul is the same one who recently played Willy Wonka, and both excellently, IMO. I have high hopes for his future as an actor, as the 2 roles mentioned I think couldnt be more far apart in character if you tried.
  13. Third half? This doesn't end the first book?
  14. I basically pay Directv $160 a year to watch 130 or so Angel games - not including vs Giants or A's as those are our local markets or the games that get streamed, as MLB package doesnt include those, which seems annoying.
  15. Better question, who will have more points per game average by seasons end.
  16. One of the analysts on MLB commented that with those 3 leading off, if your the starting pitcher at home, get through the 1st and odds are you have a lead when you come back out and if on the road, you should have a lead when you first take the mound. only 12 times in history have 3 former MVPs batted 1-2-3, Dodgers should dwarf that by May.
  17. I once saw a sign saying "Enforced by Aircraft". Needless to say there was a lot of neck craning going on in the car.
  18. I like to say "apparently".
  19. Well, he did help them get the best young pitcher coming out of Japan. Again, I suspect that Ippei is falling on his sword for Ohtani. And I do like Ohtani. I think he is the type of player we want our stars to be, humble, a good teammate, does everything he can to help his team win, is good with fans/press and always seems to be enjoying playing baseball. I think this is something that will follow him around for awhile, even if it supposedly is all on Ippei.
  20. and the cynic in me really wonders about his interpreter betting 5 mil over 2 years himself or placing bets for Ohtani as a go between. Of course, I have to wonder why they are using an illegal bookie as opposed to somewhere legitimate. Again though, I doubt, unless it is really pushed, we will ever know. I suspect, even if it is the case, that Ippei and the Bookie get richer in their accounts and take the fall over it.
  21. The story has changed a bit now, from what I understand. Now he gave the money to Ippei to pay off gambling debts, not stolen. Also, others being questioned in the investigation have supposedly said they saw Ohtani with the bookie. First point I would make is if there are no bets on baseball this should be a non-story. But, if he is using Ippei as a go between to place bets and it comes out those were on baseball, wow, because a precedent has already been set with the man who has the most hits in baseball history. I suspect Ippei and the Bookie fall on their swords for Ohtani with a little more money in their bank accounts, because I no longer believe that his interpreter spent $5 million dollars on gambling in the last 2 years. I hate this as a fan of baseball and Ohtani, because he is, by all accounts, a good guy. It also makes me wonder if Arte Moreno (who I can believe was also cheap enough to not match the offer, so who knows) knew something and was why he made only token resistance to Ohtani walking away.
  22. I have seen seen but if I hadn't I would wonder what Vulcans eat to give them gas like this.
  23. And they are praying that it doesn't turn out he was placing them for Ohtani. Sad though, from everything every player on Angels said, he was a great guy.
