IndianaJoe3 reacted to Pariah in Political Discussion Thread (With Rules)
Damn, she brought the heat. I think I like this one.
Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) scorches Washington in brutal roast: 'I love exercising 1st Amendment rights'
Some of her best lines, largely at the expense of her fellow Republicans:
“I know everyone thinks Republicans aren’t funny. But if you get a bunch of us together, we can be a real riot.” Re: George Santos: “Really, who lies about playing college volleyball? Who does that? If you’re gonna lie, at least make it about something big, like you actually won the 2020 presidential election.” “There’s one reason I was chosen to be the Republican speaker tonight, and it's because Kevin McCarthy couldn't get the votes ... I haven't seen someone assume that many positions to appease crazy Republicans since Stormy Daniels”. “[W]e all knew that Matt Gaetz would never let the vote get to 18”. “C'mon, George, you give Republicans a bad name. And that's Lauren Boebert's job.” [beat] “Just kidding, Lauren, don’t shoot.” -

Gurps Old-school Renaisance.
GOR
I anticipate no issues.

IndianaJoe3 reacted to Chris Goodwin in Is it possible Hero Games could support the Open RPG Creative (ORC) License in some way?
I'm aware Hero Games will likely never release any part of the HERO System under any kind of open license, and I'm okay with that. But, is there any way Hero Games could support the effort by Paizo, Kobold Press, and others, with the ORC?

IndianaJoe3 got a reaction from Christopher R Taylor in Wizards of the Coast Announces One D&D
What year is Stranger Things up to? It might be worthwhile to suggest (to the showrunners) to have the characters switch to Fantasy Hero, which came out in 1985.

IndianaJoe3 got a reaction from assault in 125 pts viable?
I once did a set of 25-point (aka, "first level") characters as an experiment. There wasn't a lot of room for customization, but all the archetypes were buildable and were distinct from each other.

I made lemon pound cake for Christmas Eve. It was delicious.

[personal opinion]The American Founding Fathers were not gods, and the Constitution is not divine revelation. If the document isn't allowed to grow and evolve, it's a museum piece, like the Magna Carta and Hammurabi's Code.[/personal opinion]

I think 45 has a solid business model moving forward. All he has to do is demand that any GOP candidate send him money or he will endorse them.

Then they ought to either make it their strong suit, or stop using it as a talking point to deflect from how they simply block anything the Democrats try to pass, whatever its merits.
[Sigh] That may have come out too harsh, and if so I apologize to you, Tom. But I get frustrated by arguments that sound like they're characterizing the Democrats and the Republicans as two sides of the same coin. They aren't, at all, and their own words and actions demonstrate that. This isn't about liberalism versus conservatism -- that's a legitimate political discourse, with valid arguments on both sides. But in Congress it stopped being about that years ago. This is about democracy versus fascism, and the GOP are trying to shroud that reality in smoke and mirrors.
[Deep breath] Apologies again. I guess that rant was building for a while.

The canonical replacement is to use a Naked Advantage on Armor Piercing or Penetrating (typically taking a Half Phase or longer and requiring a skill roll).

IndianaJoe3 got a reaction from Christopher R Taylor in Druid ability to pass thru plant-based barriers and entangles?
RAW in 6e says that it's obvious that Tunneling has been used, and that Invisible Power Effects are required to hide that.

IndianaJoe3 got a reaction from Old Man in Coronavirus
Got my bivalent booster this afternoon. This is my first Pfizer shot, and it seems to be hitting a little harder than the Moderna did. I'm still functional, just a bit tired and achy. Maybe I'll feel better in the morning.

No. The hardware requirements aren't bad either. I have a 6 GB GTX 1060 and I can create a reasonably sized image in about 30 seconds.

The Internet Archive has a pulp magazine section, but you may need to download them.

That's not in the OP's example. Combat hand gestures are probably a 1 point language skill, but that doesn't sound like what was being described. (ASL would be a full language.)
