  1. I'll admit, I didn't expect the first androids to have so many levels in Contortionist
  2. I want my character to have a Dependence, and I wondered if the Effect could be stacking Unluck? So every time period without the substance the character gets more unluck. Or maybe I should just buy Unluck with a Limitation, only after time without the substance? Probably a -1.
  3. Is multiple users an existing limitation somewhere?
  4. I'd like a power to require TWO people to take a full phase to begin. Is this an advantage or limitation? Context: The hero was created by a very paranoid group. What if we make this powerful hero and they turn into a villain? So they built some disadvantages into the hero. One, they are vulnerable to Green Argonite. Second they have a DNPC. It's a cop that follows them around, just keeping an eye on the hero and never providing support. If the cop suspects the hero has turned, even if due to mind control, they are to use a gadget to Transform weapons and such into Green Argonite. But the group is paranoid; what if the cop turns crooked and betrays the innocent hero? So, the gadget requires the cop and one other person to start up. (other members of the super team are also credentialed) To the cop, this is a limitation. He can only turn it on if he can free up another person with credentials to join him, and that might be difficult if the hero is fighting them. To the hero, this is an advantage because it is less likely to be used against him. So, I think this is an advantage, because it makes the DNPC a little less of a threat to the hero, and all this should be from his POV.
  5. Primary Antagonist: Adam (Hazbin Hotel)
  6. I like the idea of him hiring Lasso as a golf coach, and Lasso oblivious about the golf game itself being a cover for Warren's interest in joining the Hellfire Club.
  7. Say I want to fly into a collapsed building to rescue survivors. I use desolidification. I want to pull survivors out. I have the advantage Usable Simultaneously +1/2. Do I still need an advantage to move the person who is now desolidified?
  8. Paragon: Ted Lasso (coaching the wrong sport again) Organization: Kingpin's Hellfire Club (Wilson Fisk as White King and Tony Stark as Black King) Wings: Angel, Warren Worthington III
  9. Will Smith is pretty good at making fun of himself
  10. Just finished The Green Bone Saga by Fonda Lee. It was a mix of wuxia movies and The Godfather. I did like it. I recommend it if you enjoyed A Song of Ice and Fire. It similarly features lots of diplomatic snarls, plotting, epic fights, and dead protagonists.
  11. Celebrating Chinese New Year? Consider lighting a Waymo driverless car on fire. https://www.kron4.com/news/bay-area/why-did-a-san-francisco-crowd-light-waymos-driverless-vehicle-on-fire/ Remember. In the AI war, the humans struck first.
  12. Oh hey! I'd already tried the "Vary selection" tool, but "steel stars" worked where shuriken, throwing stars, and ninja stars did not. Anyway, Midjourney just released a new tool that tries to extract style from images, so I'm going to play with that.
  13. I am loving Midjourney V6, but I'm hitting some of the same obstacles. I can't show a broken bottle used as a weapon (the algorithm has a hard time showing broken things, and bottles aren't normally held by the neck like that). I can't show a creepy pyramid levitating upside down (because it is so trained on pyramids pointing up). I can't have people reaching inside things, like a magician reaching inside a hat. And I still can't put shuriken on Seeker's sash/bandolier. Read about Googles AlphaGeometry. It did well on geometry proofs at the International Mathematical Olympiad. What makes it really interesting is the way it makes a machine learning system and a symbolic logic system work together.
  14. Troy Nehls nominates Donald Trump for open Speaker of the House position
  15. Just envisioning the world, we know we are in a big cylinder. We don't see the opposite side because there's a firmament style sky above. We have no ocean, but several posts have mentioned continents. So, what's between the continents? We did have one draft pick for Sand. I suspect we have many continents separated by vast dune seas. We also don't have anything for Crafting. Tools and textiles, wicker and metalurgy and woodworking. Again, the god of Neglect feels the need to step in when such happens. Gift to Civilization (2nd bonus): Glass Dune Ships, their crafting and sailing. And so man harvest sand from the Great Dune Ocean, and using alchemy crafts it into glass with a shocking range of properties. Glass fibers make sails, hardened glass makes hulls. And the glass ships sail the Great Dune Ocean. Of course, if the glass fibers are able to make a sail, they can probably do clothing. If hardened glass is good enough to make a hull, it can probably make a sword or a house. Who knows how man may repurpose this gift to civilization.
  16. Okay, it looks like I get one more secondary domain and two bonus gifts to civilization. I was going to do "serenity and longsuffering" but I think that might be too close to "Resilience". Let's do Secondary Domain: Responsibility and Accountability As for the other two, the god of Neglect is compelled to review the other gifts of the gods to ensure nothing was overlooked. The "high brow" gifts are well represented. Commerce, learning, philosophy, espionage, politics. We're fine there. There is herding, but no horticulture. Most of the plant gifts in this world are intoxicants or remedies. Gift to civilization: Agriculture and Aquaponics. There. That will ensure plenty of work for my rivers.
  17. Once there was a wisp that Fitz admired. She used her little nudges to help people find things. Keys and kittens, lost children and lost paths. By the laws of hypostases, he reached a portion of his essence out to her, and elevated her. She is no longer limited to mortal awareness. Pray to Strangcharm. Pray to Fitz. But spare a prayer for the one that finds the little things that fell out of notice. Champion: The Patron Saint of Lost Things
  18. A witless river once stumbled upon Crax asleep. Being young and foolish, the river thought to do a good turn and wash the blood from the murder god's gauntlets. Crax was furious on awaking. How dare the river remove the mark of his slaughters. He cursed the river with unthinking bloodlust, to make it work to achieve that which it had so thoughtlessly destroyed. The people scrambled to find a solution as it left town after town as muddy rubble. The curse left it too powerful to kill, but the God of parts offered a solution: A separate plane of existence. And so, a division was made in reality itself, and the river was forced to the Elemental Plane of Sewers and Middens. Today, access to the plane is fairly easy. Many cities use it to drain wastewater and dump trash. The only god to frequent this offensive place is Fitz, because so many of society's neglected venture to it to scavenge. The work is very dangerous, especially with the river eternally raging. There's also diseased mosquitoes, alligators, rats, poisonous gasses, unstable terrain, and toxic alchemical waste. Geography: the Elemental Plane of Sewage and Middens
  19. and here we have Clarkent Kal using Hypostases: Yes, one of his official powers was midget tossing. the silver age be crazy.
  20. Very well: Sentient Life: Rivers How do you communicate with a river? Their language includes murmurs, splashes, and knocking rocks. How do you barter with a river? They are fond of cleaning services; they tend to accrue garbage as they meander so dredging out rubbish is welcome. Likewise weirs of activated carbon or highly vegetated land they can relax into marsh. They may also enjoy entertainment or religious services. I'm angry at a river, or afraid of it. What are my options? Steep walls can dam them; they can flow uphill but they have limits. Hit both ends and you can trap it in a canyon. Another option is dirtying them up with excessive dust and sediment. Enough filth can make them sick or even kill them. I've been one pick behind, so I should have one today as well: Animal: Wolves. The wolves of this world will almost never attack children or infants. If they find one abandoned or neglected or abused they are perfectly happy to suckle them and raise them as their own. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/6e/Romulus_and_Remus_suckling_the_she-wolf_on_a_riverbank_MET_DP878752.jpg
