Re: NBC Revolution Pixie dust and some serious hanging of disbelief. Still can't get over the lack of infrastructure during their airport scene. Apparently highway stuff evaporates while Wrigley Field looms eternal. Watched the pilot twice now, and got a truck full of nits to pick. I do kinda wonder how all those kids in braces got by during the lack of dentist offices and such. So far I give the show 1.2 out of 5 magic lockets of making electricity work. Rex

Re: Since CoH is gone... Never understood the Computer Gaming thing of having to "retain" anything from another game or during a rebuild of a character on the same game. Just build something that looks like the old CoH guy, acts like it, and start playing. I seriously doubt any amount of outcry is going to save the game. It's not what the company wants regardless of it's levels of success, they just don't want it anymore. ~Rex

Re: Do you consider Batman to be a Gadgeteer or something else? Batman is the definitive example of the BadAss Archetype. Even built a power for him in the old MEGS DC Heroes game just to represent that archetype. ~Rex

Re: MHI Hunter Template Yeah pretty much, but don't over look the simple stuff such as having A higher Ego and Presence Baseline as well, not to mention things like Resistance and what not. A lot of the characters (Not just Owen), go through Extreme encounters before they even get to be a Hunter and they survive and even Triumph in some cases, even when the guy in the next cubicle doing the same job or with the same background and ability, simply snaps and ends up gibbering "lunch" .... ~Rex

Re: MHI Hunter Template Flexible Minds. Monster Hunters don't snap in the face of Reality checks. Couple of different was to build that but Defensive Presence is a good start. ~Rex.....avid MHI guy....

Probably my favorite Marvel villain when he's handled by writers that know what the guy can Do (a cookie to the person that guesses my second favorite Marvel Villain) ...... As for the same character? No. I don't think so for a humongous list of reasons. To me it's like comparing a Lion to a Tiger. Both are Big Cats, but that's about it. ~Rex

Re: [New Product] Champions Complete Other then one Store around here I haven't really been that impressed with a FLGS in this area. They all pretty much turned into the Fine Local We Can Order That For You Store instead of putting a bit of effort into moving the product and stocking what folks want. Things like Game Fests and Demo's, Delving into the trends and watching the Industry flows, that sort of thing, all help a lot. Gaming areas are also pretty helpful too. Ah well. That all being said, the interest for this book around here is pretty intense. Some dates would help fuel that interest a bit more. ~Rex

I know I've seen a Spark setup on one of the sites out there though. Thought it was Surbrooks stuff. If I ever get home I'll take a serious look for it. ~Rex
