Armory reacted to Bazza in Marvel Cinematic Universe, Phase Three and BEYOOOOONND
On the Battlestar Galactica reboot make it one -- who never watched any of it. Judging from comments here -- I didn't miss anything.
Hermits 'glorious' review of New Mutants and made me want to watch it over the weekend.
And of the D+ Marvel tv series, I've liked & enjoyed Hawkeye most. WandaVision is likely second, but can anyone excuse or forgive a hero who violates human rights en mass? This kind of thing would be a crime against humanity, and she should be behind bars. DSMOM just made the situation worse. She-Hulk Attorney at Law could have been a great way to handle this with a legal drama "trial of the century" with Matt being the opossing lawyer for the series. THe location is a special sitting in New York of the International Court of Human Rights. Oh, what could have been...

To me, Hawkeye felt the closest to 80s 4 color comic book writing and also Hawkeye's personality was spot on with he'd been written so far in the MCU. It also maintained a consistent tone throughout and didn't to waffle between trying to be really funny then really serious. More and more Marvel projects are not succeeding at this.

Recent MCU Hulk and Thor depictions are the biggest and most painful departures for me. Big green mellowed-out Bruce Banner, and Thor as a dumb himbo, just grate on me. Conceptually they aren't bad characters, they just have almost nothing of what made Thor and Hulk memorable.

Sure but cast Shuri as a blonde white girl and you get the same effect. Except that's blasphemy and would call down the fury of hell on everyone involved. Its ludicrous, Norwegian people would have, you know NOTICED if Heimdall was black as coal and said something about it. Like the Greeks did with Hephaestus. There's no reason to do this other than "there's too many honkeys in this cast" which always, always bothers me: that fixation on race and color to the point of pandering.
Instead of the tediously brainless Kat Dennings, cast a black girl. Or instead of Stellan Skarsgard (who I like as much as Idris Elba) cast a black guy who is just a professor fixated on Norse mythology. But turning one of the Asgardians into a black dude? It was ludicrous and out of place.

I'd like to see them pare back significantly on Star Wars and Marvel content. They're putting out more stuff faster than they can do it well.

I am extremely skeptical he even knew there was a Thor comic before being asked to direct the character. Its easy to pretend to be a fan when interviewed, just ask the "Tolkien Superfans" Amazon trotted out, who were nothing more than paid Instagram types fed lines to say.

None of which matter when the characters in the film treat all of the ultra serious events in the movie like a joke. It's even worse in Love and Thunder. I'm all for humor in these films, but it should be balanced based on the plot. And if the makers of Ragnarök really liked comics...we would have actually gotten The Grandmaster instead of Jeff Goldblum in makeup. UGH!

In GotG 2 we find out that Ego implanted Earth, and was going to turn it into into a "little Ego".
In Eternals, the earth core is incubating a Celestial.
Mmm...Marvel Studios screenwriting editorial, can you explain the overlap? Surely Arshiam would have paid Ego a visit and told him to cut it out. Wouldn't this also have prompted the Eternals to intervene has they had known?

Aw, is Wanda whining that mind raping an entire town for weeks made her the bad guy? Who could have thunk it.

I'm torn. On the one hand I hate Dazzler. OTOH, that's perfect casting.

I really don't want a repeat of Thor: Ragnarök, but it looks like that is what we're going to get. Sigh...

...which I'm saying is bad writing based on all logic and reason and the history of Thor. Arguing "well it can't be bad writing because that's the way they wrote it" is ... bizarre. Its hack writing because they cannot imagine writing a strong male character who isn't broken by difficulties, who must be angsty and psychologically shattered and "find himself". Over and over and over.

IMO, Avengers: Infinity War was the High point of the MCU, with Avengers: End Game a close second. Since then, I've felt that the quality has declined precipitously, with most of the plots degenerate to some version of "The girl that is the key to everything". I am even less interested in the video representations of the "All New All Different Marvel", from 2015 or so. I wanted stories about the Marquee characters being heroes, rather than Sidekicks in their own stories, shown up by a more skilled or more powerful woman. For properties supposedly picked up by Disney to attract a male audience, when they already locked down the female audience with the princesses, and the cable shows, Hawkeye was the one that didn't hurt so bad, but, Moon Night.... Another subtle yet glaring problem, is that Male Heroes cannot hit female characters, and the fights, in general, are Bloodless. The perfection of the first two seasons of Neflix's Daredevil I don't see being able to get duplicated in any current MCU Property. Disney's influence is pervasive, and I am very close to walking away from the MCU, as I have completely from Star Wars. Cancelling Disney+ and picking up HULU to watch "The Orville" , or Paramount+ to get South Park, or Beavis & Butthead

Phase Four has overall been a let down.

Quantumania (Ant Man 3)
Guardians of the Galaxy vol 3
The Marvels
X-Men '97
Spiderman Four
Blade
Loki Season 2
Captain America 4
Deadpool 3
I Am Groot
Marvel Zombies
Spider-Man
Fantastic Four
Agatha Harkness

Daredevil
Shang Chi Series

Now, look I get that they kind of have to flood the market to keep up with streaming binge watchers but there is really too much of a good thing. And this isn't even a good thing. Nobody can get this much out with any semblance of quality, and we've already seen a bit of a slump in CGI and writing quality in what is coming out lately anyway.
I mean, if the superhero fad hasn't already begun to fade, dumping this much on the market is only going to speed that day up.
And that is in addition to 12 new Star Wars properties.

I'm grateful to be old enough that there was no Internet when I was young(er) and stupid(er) where I could thoughtlessly post every insensitive and stupid comment I made, so they could go on forever, and be thrown in my face decades later, presented as the sum total of my character.

But what is the death rate for other diseases such as the Flu? What is the death rate compared to accidents? Heart disease? (Which I’m a bigger candidate for)? Why is Covid singled out?

OK, let's consider...
Agree 100%.
So we will never have any new Directors? What was James Gunn's track record with Supers before he directed GoTG? How many had Joss Whedon directed before Avengers?
Agree. That does not mean proven talent. Who else would have hired RDJ? Tom Holland wasn't exactly a household name either.
Honours, sure. But as I recall the source material, Peter Parker had no real friends in high school. His early crushes/girlfriends were Betty Brant (a secretary, not a fellow student), Liz Allen (a white blonde), Gwen Stacy (ditto) and Mary Jane Watson (a white redhead). His Aunt was elderly and frail, as I recall, and never knew Peter was Spider-man (certainly not in his high school days). I don't recall any Filipinos in his high school classes, but I do recall Flash Thompson, a red-haired white jock.
Some might say the various castings are
but I'd say they
and
Finally...
So ditch those teachers, that high school buddy "Ned Leeds" and any father figure for Peter Parker?
And we certainly would never want any new characters creeping into the MCU, or the comics for that matter! In fact, the movies should stick to high-profile characters like the Hulk (how did his movie do again?), not B-Listers like Iron Man and Thor, much less more minor characters like Hawkeye, GoTG or Black Panther.
Did I get all that right?
