  1. Detect: People who will die in the next 24 hours. Season to flavor. That would probably be the simplest way, but might be too powerful of an effect for many GMs to allow a simple Detect to have.
  2. Seems like a really weird thing to say if you know anything at all about comics. Couldn't what you just said about the movie apply to the character in general? You know he doesn't just fight spiders in the comics, right?
  3. An inch and a Hex was equal to 2 meters in 5E. I think it was in 4th as well,so nothing actually changed.
  4. I'm not sure you can combine Defense only applies once with NND. If you have the NND defense you are immune to the effect, if you don't have the NND defense there are no defenses to apply multiple times anyway.
  5. What art? And what about him? EDIT: Weird, the art is visible on my phone even though it wasn't on the computer
  6. Robots not having life support is not an edition thing. It is most likely an oversight or possibly a deliberate design choice but I can't possibly comprehend why you would think it had to do with what edition of the rules was used. The Aid is probably a typo and is simply missing a 1 in front of the fraction. I'm not understanding what the number of points used to build the clones has to do with what edition was used. Are the clones Player Characters? It seems from your post the primary (and possibly only) thing that is definitely a hold over from 5E is the use of inches and hexes for distance.
  7. "More than 99.2% of Colombians speak the Spanish language"
  8. It's not so much that this is the "wrong" forum, but there is a forum I mentioned by name in my last post called "Company Questions". It is at the very top of the page, first Sub-forum on the entire site. I don't know how often Jason checks any of the forums, but I would expect him to check that one in particular more frequently than "Hero Games Product Line" forum (unless he was coming to post something here anyway). You could also Private Message him as was suggested by LL on the first page. EDIT: There is also a Contact Us button at the very top of the page.
  9. There is a good chance Jason hasn't stumbled upon this thread yet. Perhaps if you actually ask him you may get a response (though this close to the holiday I doubt it). I find the idea of "their public silence on the matter" being "worrying" laughable at best. You posted the question 2 weeks ago. You didn't post it in the Company Questions forum where it would have a significant chance of actually being seen by "the company" which at this point is basically one person. Do I find the fact that the one person who runs this company hasn't responded to your thread that isn't even in the appropriate section of the forum as worrying? No. I don't. I don't think you wanting a official policy publicly posted is unreasonable at all. I think the way you are going about it and the time frame in which you are expecting an answer is unreasonable, especially since it's just before the holidays and he runs Indie Press Revolutions, a distribution company and is probably extremely busy (as so many of us are) with both work and family.
  10. Talk about perpetuating a myth. No one has claimed Hero would take legal action if you print your own copy of the book (and how would they!?) but more importantly someone posted information about them giving permission to print a personal copy and told you who to contact to get an official answer about if that is still the case. If anyone is "hashing out" something that has little point, it is not those of us talking about what format, and how much it would cost to, print. For the record it seems Print on Demand prices must have really plummeted in the last year or two. I remember when 6E 1 and 2 were both still available in print and some people who didn't care about hard cover or color were talking about just buying the PDF and printing their own copy and it was cost prohibitive at that time. Several print companies still limit perfect bound to 600 pages depending on the paper thickness, so if someone claims they are too long it is out of ignorance of current options available, not some attempt to knowingly "perpetuate a myth".
  11. Is it just me or is using the "stupid" emoji with a sarcastic comment as a response a bit close to calling the other person's point stupid?
  12. Actually, yeah, it pretty much is. In most cases if you have a physical altercation with someone you will have to identify yourself to the police. Also, we're talking about police, politics, and vigilante laws, not the opinion of possible rescue-ies, so yourself.
  13. Might be hard to prove after the first incident, but after a half dozen cases of you just happening to stop a crime while "strolling" above the street in a brightly colored costume and using a code name...
  14. For many people the cost of printing, even in black and white, and binding (in anything other than cheap spiral binding), added to the cost of the PDFs would cost more than buying the full color books. So yeah, I could understand how that could be considered prohibitively expensive for many.
  15. There are so many things wrong with that assumption I'm not sure where to start. First off, 8 points would only negate penalties with a single attack/weapon. Second, there is no reason that a campaign wouldn't have a limit on PSLs just like most do on CV and some do on CSLs. Third, many people allow Called Shots in games when random hit locations aren't being used anyway, so your imaginary problem would not be limited to random hit location games. Fourth, there are these great little things called GMs. They run the games. They aren't all complete morons. Some are even smart enough to use hit locations without being "foolish enough" to let the players break the game.
  16. It will vary greatly depending on the type of binding, the quality of the paper, and where you get it done. If you know someone who works at a print shop and gets a discount you could probably get them spiral bound for relatively cheap. EDIT: You would probably do better either using Google or actually calling around locally to find prices than asking here...
  17. But printing shorter adventures or small selections is still incredibly common and I doubt that will go away any time soon.
  18. In my years on the forum the things I've seen most often complained about as unbalanced were Figured Characteristics and Killing Attacks. Both are mathematically unbalanced. This isn't an opinion, it has been proved time and time again, you can look it up. One of the two was finally fixed in the most recent edition. What things are you hearing "cries of imbalance" about?
  19. I wasn't trying to be flippant, I was trying to be brief since this is a thread derail. Short version: I've had some okay experiences playing Fate, though I would never bother to run it, but every single experience I have had with FAE has been horrible. I wasn't disrespecting your work, I merely dislike the system just like you dislike d20.
