  1. Just curious, how long does it normally take to ship an order?
  2. Re: HERO noob Thanks all for the explanations and the kind welcomes!!! I think I'm going to like it here
  3. Re: HERO noob Thanks! I will take a look at these. And now that I look at your explanation again, the lightbulb just went on!
  4. Re: HERO noob Ah... that's what I was hoping. I thought at first I was just tired last night while I was looking at it. Numbers should add up!!! Thanks, Killer.
  5. Re: HERO noob Thanks for the welcome! And the explanation. I'll take a look at the software. I think I'm just getting hung up on terminology somewhere... I guess I don't understand what is meant by "Total Disadvantage Points", because it doesn't seem to add up to the actual points spent on disadvantages. What exactly does this phrase mean?
  6. I finally took the plunge! After playing D20, Savage Worlds, and GURPS, I still felt like something was missing... so I started looking at Hero and I think I've finally found my gaming system! So I have sidekick and Fred, and instead of trying to build my own character, I'm currently just looking at the sample ones and doing the math on my own so I can see how they were built. Power frameworks aside , I'm trying to figure something out that's something simple I'm sure, but it's driving me nuts... Firebrand's character sheet was pretty straight forward, but looking at Taurus, for example (pg 496, Fred), I'm confused about points. The left side of the stats (characteristics costs and powers and skills costs) are easy enough, but when I look at the right side, I get confused by the following: 200+ Disadvantages and Total Disadvantage Points: 350 His disadvantages add up to 150pts. Did I miss something somewhere? What exactly does that mean? The total character is 350pts, I get that part... Sorry if this has been answered before, but my search-fu couldn't come up with anything. Again, I'm sure this is simple, but for some reason my head can't wrap around it.
