  1. Quite some time ago I shared a number of the original maps from the Turakian Age book. Due to RL and other issues I was unable to continue working on them. I am now back to the Turakian Age and have, today, uploaded a colour version of the world map of Ambrethel. I myself have printed this on a decent home printer as a A3 poster and it looks good. It is 1600x1200. I am not the creator of these, but the creator was kind enough to pass on to me the various images/files he had a number of years back so I could use/share them on the HERO forums. I hope to have more converted in time. [Download links for others: Black & White World Map - other map files]
  2. Version 1.0.0

A colour version of the world map - this is as high a resolution as I have.
  3. Version 1

This is a zip of the TIF files used in the book itself.
  4. Hi, Heroes. I am in the process of making some battle maps for some games I am planning. These will be very specifically battle mats, meaning I will use them for epic battles. For the inside of buildings or subway tunnels (most of the game, really) I am happy to rough sketch the area on a piece of paper. For a full on battle royale I enjoy the old school battle map of a city block or giant temple. I used the hell out of the map that came with my 3rd edition game. That bank and Rosie's Diner still can't get affordable insurance 30 years later. If I make a battle mat say 4x3', one that takes up most of my gaming table, what scale would you suggest? I don't really use miniatures much so I'm not familiar with their general scale. I also use 6th ed so this will be my first map without hexes although I may keep them for nostalgia purposes. I can easily scale the squares (or hexes) to be 1/meter or so. So, if I make a map with a pretty good overhead view of a city block or some such how many meters would you fit to an inch given that the overall map is 48x36 inches? For users of traditional miniatures, that scale may be proscribed by the size of ur doodz.
  5. Are there any available in a digital format for download? I have bought the PDF and most of the 5th Ed books (FH, Grimoire, etc) and I have found an overall map of Ambrethel, but I need more regional maps and ones that I can 'zoom' in to be able to add details specific to my game. Copies of the ones from the TA PDF would be a good start. Cheers D.
  6. Version 1

A black/white world map - this is as high a resolution as I have. I have been working on overlaying the colour versions of the map but the scales are different - perhaps the source files will be able to allow someone to do this - I don't have Adobe Illustrator nor Photoshop.
  7. Evilution Unchained for Champions is now available in print and pdf as well as some fun branded items. Blessed Machine proudly announces the release of its first product: Evilution Unchained! Evilution Unchained is a three act mystery adventure that takes the heroes throughout the city to solve a series of high profile kidnappings. Heroes will hunt for clues on nine fully detailed color maps to discover a horrific plot that threatens the entire campaign city. Also, the heroes will meet a fresh batch of supervillains as they try to solve the mystery of Evilution Unchained. This adventure is fully compatible with Champions Complete and the Hero System Sixth Edition rulebooks. What's Inside: This 144 page full-color adventure book includes a 48 page adventure along with supporting cardboard heroes, top-down tokens and nine maps to cut and paste together for exploring or combat. 8. Reference is 6E2, 201-2 Combatants with weapons of differing length can inflict minor OCV penalties on one another depending on the reach of the weapon and who has the advantage at the time. The rule is that the shorter weapon is at -1 or -2 OCV (depending on the length differential) until he can take the advantage: Once this has happened, the longer-reach weapon wielder has two alternatives. He can also attempt to hit his opponent, sucking up the OCV penalty, or he can move: All well and good, but it does raise some questions for me as to how to handle this when you're making use of maps and minis. Specifically: When the wielder of the shorter weapon succeeds with his attack, and gets inside the longer weapon, does he move closer to his opponent as part of the maneuver (e.g. Where once there was a meter of open space between us, now there is no open space)? Should there be an option for the wielder of the shorter weapon to close the distance with a half-move prior to attacking, or is the assumption that the longer weapon keeps him at bay? And if that is the case, is there an argument allowing the distance to be closed anyway, and giving the longer weapon wielder a free attack? If the longer weapon wielder does refuse to budge, makes his attack with the penalty, and hits, does this move his opponent back one or more meters, effectively against his will? And if so, does either combatant get a say in where the shorter weapon wielder ends up - must it be straight back, can it be back and sidestepping to one side or another so long as the correct range is restored? What if there's an obstruction or bad footing where he would need to go? And a bonus question - for those of you who do still crack out the maps and minis, do you still stick with 2 meter hexes, like 5E? Have you moved on to more GURPSian 1 meter hexes? Do you go with squares (sacrilege!) or free form it and just measure distances?
  9. This is not my project and I get nothing from this. I am a normal KS backer of what looks to be very interesting Fantasy Floorplans. At the next level of Stretch Goal they will be including Double sided maps (One printed in Squares, and the other side in Hexagons). Map Flats - Vinyl tabletop RPG Maps http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/splork/map-flats-vinyl-tabletop-rpg-maps Hopefully you will find this interesting and worth your cash Tasha
