There are now several superhero-flavored manga and anime that we can borrow ideas from; My Hero Academia is one that seems especially useful. World background: Similar to Earth until about five generations ago, when people started being born with "quirks", starting with a glowing baby in China. As far as science can tell, this is the next step in human evolution, and about 80% of the population now has quirks. Most quirks are relatively minor like "can pull small objects within about a meter to one's hand" or "can breathe flame equivalent to a small candle." But there are people with much, much more impressive powers, such as invisibility or turning sweat into nitroglycerin. People who feel compelled to commit crimes use their quirks for them, necessitating the rise of the professional licensed superhero. Only licensed superheroes can fight powered criminals; vigilantism is against the law. To get a license, it helps to have gotten proper training, so many prospective heroes attend schools that offer hero training. The "badass normal" is not a thing in this setting; all superheroes and villains are what would usually be called mutants. Since most people have a relatively narrowly defined quirk, many heroes carry special gear to cover their weak areas, but there are no heroes that rely on equipment alone. Most people with quirks develop them around age four, and late bloomers are extremely rare. An x-ray of the foot can confirm, as all people with quirks have one less joint in their little toes. The majority of people with quirks whose parents have quirks inherit some version of either parent's quirk, or a combination of same. Some animals have quirks; we have not yet had an explanation of this. Despite the many changes, Japanese society is very similar to the real life one. There were at least two films in the Alien series, and H.R. Giger still did the monster designs. Due to the many physical alteration quirks, personal appearance standards have shifted--it's rare for Distinctive Features to evoke an Extreme reaction, and someone with a bird head suffers little or no hassle about it. The primary focus of the series is on a class of potential superheroes, so most of these ideas will be suitable for Teen Champions.
I've been to Fanfiction .net and read a few fan fics from anime,comics,and rpgs, but with the exception of my fanfic that I'm posting here along with its link,and some Champions Online Fics, there are no super RPG fanfiction in that whole site. The initial super powered (or supernatural) entities were from dimensional breaches into the game world, but after those breaches were (largely) closed in thwarted invasion 140 days later on 2014-3-11, it came to the attention of Homeland Defense that there seemed to be..."local contamination", that is to say, people native to the game world began to develop super powers as well. The phenomena is very rare, and seems to only happen in teenagers, typically younger teens, and these "native" powers are in general weaker and more erratic than the extra-dimensional ones, but after a few "incidents" it became the official mandate to identify and "contain" these people in a special place of their own. 6e 200 w 50 Complications PC's are all "mutants" age 12-16; most girls 12-13 and boys 13-14 Starting characteristics of "8"; any characteristics over "12" must be bought as powers. 504 downloads5E HTML Superhero Character Sheet This template (created in February 2014, by lou_tennant (aka David Dobson)) is based on the 6E Ultimate CS (uploaded by Hyper-man, originated by desaturated - which was based on a file by Dan Simon). This character sheet looks very different from the plain black and white sheets. I have adjusted the colours and elements of the layout - including reducing it from four sections to two sections. I have removed and simplified certain areas to focus on a Super-heroic/Champions style of game. So things like Hit Locations and the Combat Manoeuvres charts have been removed. Whilst I have made changes, using the 4-colour comics for inspiration, it still maintains a clear connection to the original styling/layout of the 6E Ultimate CS (uploaded by Hyper-man, originated by desaturated - which was based on a file by Dan Simon), on which it is based. Features: Collates combat information including Attack Powers, Defence Powers, Equipment and Martial Manoeuvres. Along with useful combat stats, combat values, and combat modifiers. The layouts for Powers, Equipment, Talents, Martial Arts, Skills, Perks, and Disadvantages (was Complications in 6E Ultimate CS, but this is for 5th Ed) have been amended, to provide a two-column section in places to aid with usability. As per 6E Ultimate CS; notes are included, and it will respect any formatting you've done to your powers or abilities. Numbered list titles and numbering, etc. Skills, abilities rolls, and Endurance costs clearly visible along the left hand side. Point costs on the right. The character image is on the 1st page with characteristics. The recommended picture size: 288px wide. The image should be anywhere from 352px to 442px tall. The version (timestamp) of the character is included in the footer of each section to help with multiple copies. IT DOES NOT currently include the Hero Game logo (I am working on making space) as the previous location I felt could be better used in the reworked layout. Once it has been included The file "herologo.png"; needs to be included in same directory as the export file.
