OK the poll has Champions Presents slightly in the lead, so I'm going to go with that, starting with the group Spectrum from adventure 1.  Champions Presents is a 3-adventure book that covers some great basic comic book type scenarios, and this team is the first group of bad guys faced.  Unfortunately I never have had a chance to run the adventures, although they look really solid.

 

The first one up is Black Bird who really isn't a bad guy at all.  He's a fairly good guy who had a terrible experience using his superpowers, so he wants to restrain and control them in the nation.  Black Bird is a US Senator.

His powerset is more or less like Banshee's, but nice to see not all Senators are corrupt.  Having seen the harm superpowers can inflict firsthand, he carries a motivation at once humanitarian, sympathetic and frustrating!

 

PS: practically every one of my bosses throughout my life has had the 'always politicking' psychological compilcation.

 

PPS: If you want to mix in a few Watchers of the Dragon as sneak previews, I don't think anyone would mind.

Blue Streak, ex football player speedster.  He's bought with martial arts to represent his speed which is a curious build, but it shows the flexibility of Hero in another way.

Heartseeker and Nimbus are both the same character, a red or blue shift in the spectrum.  This is a particularly interesting character to me with many possibilities for role playing and challenges for characters in the game beyond "how to beat them into unconsciousness."  First is Heartseeker, who is a crystalline ruby-like being with a very evil personality.

Prism, the boss of Spectrum and genius behind it.  He has a linked power that most GMs would consider iffy at best - a flash attack linked to an NND that only works on people without enough flash defense - but if players complain, remind them that villains cheat.

The sheet doesn't have any notation of a focus that I saw, but I'll check again.  He has powers without the suit, and uses the suit for protection, as I read it.

 

EDIT: OK looking him over again, he gets most of his stats from the suit too.  I'll go over him and figure out what the build is.  Unfortunately all they give is his stats and the OIF notification, so I have to reverse engineer the original stat and then how much the focus gives.

 

EDIT: Rebuilt him properly with his stats through the suit.

Rage, the 7 foot tall swole former prison guard with permanent roid rage.  He had lack of weakness and hardened defenses, so I made them impenetrable as well to represent how tough he is to hurt.
