I needed a powerful extraterrestrial villain for an adventure. None of the published villains quite worked, so I wrote up my own.

Nightfall operates at two different power levels. At his height, he can block sunlight from an entire world -- hence his name -- a tactic he uses to hold planetary populations for ransom. But he might not be able to maintain that level of power through a long fight, by which heroes with good tactics might defeat him.
