  1. Hello,

I'm coming back into the fold, way back in time I had used Champions (I fondly remember and still have my 4th Edition hard back) and I've recently picked up Champions Complete.  I'm preparing to run a game set in Regency London (around 1811 - 1820).

    I've already asked on rpgnethttp://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?734404-Champions-Regency-Research

And have been given some nice information to get me started.  I thought I'd echo my request here (as suggested by MoonHunter.)

My post on rpgnet basically asked:

I have two questions that I'd like to put to the amassed wealth of knowledge of this very forum.

Firstly, are there any Champion/Hero stats for things like carts/wagons/carriages and the kind of black powder firearms that would have been knocking about at the time. 1811 is Napoleonic wars era.

Secondly, there is a lot of history at the turn of the nineteenth century are there any general roleplaying resources that have an over view or has anyone that has done research into this period before be willing to give me a nudge in the right direction.

I've been directed to http://www.mactyre.net/archives/regency/ - which is good, but incomplete.

    and have been informed that:

The Hero System Equipment Guide has statistics for matchlock, wheellock, and flintlock firearms, as well as later 19th Century firearms.

I also have a nice long list of reading material, both fact and (period) fiction to start me off.

I intend to collate the information in one place for my convenience and just encase anyone else might find it useful.

  2. The first character has an electrical blast.  He wants the type of damage to vary depending on the grounding of the target.

An insulated character would take stun only, a poorly grounded would take a normal attack, and a well-grounded would get a killing attack.

My current thought is to make a multipool of all three powers with a limitation that the GM chooses which is used.  I was thinking this is a -1/4 modifier on the control pool cost.  Thoughts?

    Hi,

I'm returning to Champions from a long break too, I've spotted No Concious Control [i'm using Champions Complete] has two options one let's the GM pick when the power is used or it's effects when it is used (the -1 level).  Wouldn't that be what you were looking for?
