I'm trying to print the attached character file to PDF. I've read the manual and I seem to be doing everything correctly (I think), but I'm getting the following error message:

"Error printing to PDF. An error occurred during print process. Please try again. Error message: private method 'gsub' called for nil:NilClass"

My Hero Designer is installed in C:HeroDesigner

Thanks, Simon. It was the first one -- I was using File-->Open Prefab. Glad it was just user error on my part. ?

I have read the prefab documentation. So what's happening is that I have a character file for characteristics open (Determined, for example) and I open one of the prefabs. When I go to the tab for what that prefab is (Complications or Powers, whatever it is), the Prefabs tab on the right is grayed out and nothing happens when I click on it. If I'm reading the manual correctly, that Prefabs tab is where I'm supposed to be able to add the prefab to the character file that I have open?

I have a character file open for the Characteristics card I want to use, and I have loaded the prefab file for the Complications card I want to add to the character, but what I can't figure out is how to add the prefab material to the open character file. What am I missing? TIA!
