  1. Re: The probability and predictability of dice.

    ?

Not nearly enough samples? Go ahead and work out a couple more examples for yourself then.

Wow easy Conduit, I was not being mean. I was just adding to the discussion on probabilities. I didn't mean to offend you. I am sorry! trhough i do knwo this borad can get a little mean. hugz.

@prestidigitator, My point about rolling 4 18's in a row was that when you get very large samples, strange things happen. And the chances of that happing grow as the trials are increased. Just a fact from my college math class, nothing more.

  2. Re: Plot help!

Also there is a manual for many of the monster and creatures all ready written for Hero Games. I strongly suggest you buy it, as it has many of these creatures already made for you, as well as full discriptions.

Guyz is that still in print?

  3. Re: Plot help!

Where do you think D&D stole all those names? They took them from ligature. My ex-bf drove me CrAzY that he knew so little about a game he spent half of his time playing. LOL

D&D messed up most of the stories of those characters too. It is a shame because most of the stories and myths are very interesting to read about.

  4. Re: Plot help!

None of those are from D&D they are from literature.

D&D Just messes things up. Giggle.

    For example Lich:

The term lich comes from the Slavic licho, which means "evil"; an alternative spelling is "liche". The word is cognate with modern German Leiche, meaning "corpse".

  5. Re: How do you build Wonder Woman's lasso?

Hum, I think mind control would be a big part. You are foced to tell the truth and no one can break out of it once caught. It has to be magic becuase even superman can not resisit it.

    *Edit*

    From wikipedia:

The Lasso of Truth is a fictional weapon wielded by DC Comics superheroine Wonder Woman, Princess Diana of Themyscira.

The Lasso was forged by the god, Hephaestus from the Golden Girdle of Gaea that was once worn by Antiope, sister of the future Queen Hippolyta. The Lasso itself is unbreakable, and is capable of confining even beings as physically powerful as Superman and Captain Marvel. Empowered by the Fires of Hestia, the Lasso forces anyone held by it to tell the absolute truth. The fires are said to even be able to cure insanity, as they did in the case of Ares, God of War, when he attempted to incite World War III, but renounced his plan when the Lasso showed him that such a war would destroy all life on Earth, including any potential worshippers he sought to gain from it.

According to some recent stories, the power of truth is innate to Wonder Woman, and the Lasso is merely a focus. This is a retcon. Originally, the lasso would force whoever was held to it to obey any command, not just telling the truth

  6. Re: I am hot!

*Ponders on what the costume would look like...* :fear:

    Does it really matter?

If you make it hot enough I can say a am "super anything chick" and guys love it. It's just how it works. LOL

Don't you read comics? Just kidding. :P

  7. Re: I am hot!

I have a friend in Pittsburgh so I combine that con (Pittsburgh Comicon) with a visit. It started when my now ex-bf drug me there. The guy that runs the costume contest makes costumes for TV and Hollywood and he asked me to wear his Phoenix costume. He even had a wig (I am blonde). After that I was hooked. Super heroines have the hottest costumes. LOL

So if I go though the trouble of making costumes I want to wear it for a few cons besides Halloween. It is also a great way to meet people. It is a great place to talk to the movie stars that they bring in too. Very fun!

BTW the Comicon cost $18.00 to enter. And free costume entry is only on Sunday

  8. Re: I am hot!

Siren's description' date=' this works because the character has a legacy from her ancestors.[/quote']

    Exactly!

But some of the powers will will be active like her voice. Though I am not sure I am going to make it area effect or not. Though her looks are passive.

This is such a fun character to build, I just know it will be even better to play. It might even be fun to make it into a halloween costume & then wear it to the next comic convention. You get in free if you are in costume ;-)

  9. Re: A Focus that can Shrink to be hid.

Then you wouldn't give the character a -1 limitation for the OAF Pocket Knife? If two abilities have exactly the same effect, why should they not cost exactly the same points?

Perhaps, however, the focus that is too small to be readily concealed ought to have a limitation value different from the one that can be readily concealed. My pocket knife likely won't cause an issue when I go to a state dinner, so I can have my focus with me. A sword will cause quite a stir.

Nope, I said I am a noob and you are far my superior. If I knew have the rules as you guys I would be happy. :-)

    BTW: GREAT point SirVIss!
