Stretching and Damage Shield

Character A (ChiGuy), has stretching with the "doesn't cross intervening space" advantage, described as not leaving bits of the character around to be attacked. ChiGuy's special effect is that whole pseudo-mystic chi punch thing: no actual physical contact.

 

Character B (SpikeyDude) has a garden-variety damage shield.

ChiGuy takes damage from the Damage Shield, since he’s touching SpikeyDude with a HTH Combat attack.
