DocMan
Talking about Inferno again. So, being your basic human torch, it seems that it behooves me to have at least one Change Environment power to help heat things up... Change Environment seems to be run in terms of the area of effect and the number of degrees in increase. I'm look at this and trying to figure out what makes more sense with the SFX: a large area and a slow increase, or a sharp increase in a small area? If you're increasing the temperature by 10 degrees a phase, it can get hot FAST! Thoughts? Doc
The Hawk God
Re: Heating it up Working from real world effect I would "buy" it if possible (gm permission if needs be) as RAPID and then Explosion. This models the conduction of heat really well.
Split Decision
Re: Heating it up Hawk God has the physics of it down correctly I think. But you may wish to buy a tiny VPP with the limitation Only Change Environment Heat Effects (-1 1/2) to simulate your ability to do quite a lot of different things by throwing off and sucking up heat. DocMan
Re: Heating it up I found Explosion, but I could not find any documentation on RAPID. Is that an advantage or a Limitation? And from which book? Doc
The Hawk God
Re: Heating it up Oh, I meant make it a rapid change...lots of increase in a small area and explosion off of it. When I went home, I looked in FReD and noted that this is the recommended way.
DocMan
Re: Heating it up I noted in FReD that explosion isn't allowed to increase the area of a Change Environment, so I just bought the same number of levels as inches.
