There have been some questions lately about what relationship Hero Games has with Heroic Comics, both historically and in terms of their current projects. The simple answer to the later question is that DOJ Inc, the current owners of the Hero Games intellectual property, has never entered into an agreement with Heroic Comics, aren't currently working on any projects with them, have no active communication with them, and share no properties in common with them. In short, we have no relationship.
Historically speaking, back in 1987 (when I was a senior in High School and Steve Long was just entering law school), Hero Games signed an agreement with Heroic Comics to publish a Champions comic book using certain specific characters from (I think) the third edition Champions Universe. These characters they do have the rights to: which is why they were not as I understand it in the forth edition or subsequent versions of the Champions Universe. We hope this clears up any misunderstandings that may have arisen.
