  1. Re: from little plot seeds, mighty games do grow: Share you ideas!

Okay, I am going to give it a try...

    Cateran

    Time to play the Game

The sexy, immortal Scot is approached by a mysterious teenaged boy who relates some very personal information from Cateran's distant past (1600s). It is revealed to her that there has been a cabal of immortal mutants that have existed since the Turkian Age. These mutants at first battled each other for centuries. Raising armies and fighting directly but over time that got tiresome even with special powers. So they instead began to play a Game. A game where the Players gained points based on the power and influence of their pieces. So throughout history this cabal of Players manipulated events and beings in an escalating points war of influence.

How will Cateran react when she discovers the current point leader was directly responsible for the birth and eventual rise of Dr. Destroyer? Will she play the Game? What if she does and discovers that one of the PCs was created for purposes of the Game? Would she teamup (covertly) with the PCs to stop this Game before the Earth is destroyed by it?

Hope you guys like that. As to the exact rules of the Game and point scores, I suggest to keep it simple. Like "No direct combat between Players", "To quit the Game is to forfeit your life", "Never reveal your true self to mundanes", and etc, etc.

  2. Re: Should the 5th CU have a "Euro Guard"?

Germany sends Der Krieghund, with his amazing power to speak with Dogs. He can also call local dogs to his aid, and turn into a large dog. None of these dogs have any special powers; they're just dogs.

    And so on. ;)

Yo... That is _too_ funny.

It does make sense for there to be a Euroguard. UNITY cannot allows be there... and there is the political side as well that has been discussed.

  3. Re: Theme music

My rpg group is currently in hiatus' date=' but I'm trying to put a mix together. It includes Bonnie Tyler's Holding Out for a Hero, the Moody Blues' Other Side of Life, and Neil Diamond's Solitary Man. I know th selections are a bit dated, but I'm kinda old myself, and I prefer older music anyway.[/quote']

As I know the artists for those songs, I prefer the term "more mature" as opposed to "kinda old". :) That is a good idea for a mix tape. I could make something that would be like a theme of the night type... or the current "season" of the game.

    Anymore suggestions?

  4. Greetings Heroes!

I was wondering. Does anyone use theme music to set the mood of the game? I ran a campaign a year or so ago and to begin the session I played the theme to the X-Men animated series. I pointed to each player and asked for a heroic pose. It got everyone into the mindset of there character. I hope to be playing again soon and was wondering what music (if any) you folks used?

It can be anything. I just would like your suggestions.

    Thanks!
