As a long-time champs player, I realise I have many options to build characters who can a la "Absorbing Man" from Marvel or "Kevin Leven" fron Ben 10:Alien Force (which you should totally watch!). My game is 350 (plus 25 XP) and has a 75/60 pt. Active cap. 75 pts for your "Signature" power, 60 for all others. One framework only.
The easiest way to do it is as a VPP with limitations like "Must touch material" or "Object of Convenience" and then figure out several 'template' forms like Stone, Metal, Wood, Ice, Rubber.
The other option I can see is to build a multiform, with the absorbtion being a special effect.
So, what do YOU think? Which of these is the better option? OR is there an approach that I'm missing?

Hey guys-
I'm getting geared up to run a game at a local con and would LOVE to have a copy of the old "City Block Hex Map" from the 2nd Ed. Box set. Does anyone know where I can find that? Is it online somewhere?
Failing that, can anyone suggest an alternative urban environment to use?
Thanks guys-

Ok Guys,
This seems to be a timeless question, and I appologise if it's ben hit ad nauseum, but I'd like to know your oppinion:
Say your going to create Captain "Shazam!" Marvel, you know, the REAL one. Do you:
a) Create Cap with the Billy Batson ID as a multiform...
or
Create Cap then establish Billy either as a limited shapeshift/instant change?
or
c) Billy's a special effect, like the lightning bolt. You're WAY over-thinking this!
PS. I'm looking for that cool Jeff Smith Captain Marvel pic for wallpaper. Can't seem to find it anywhere. Can anyone help me out?

Hey Guys-
New to the boards, but I'm a Champs player from waaaay back (2nd edition box set, baby!). I'm toying with the idea of putting together a campaign set in either the MARVEL or DC "core" universes. The idea is for the PCs to be a team composed of mainly "2nd stringers" (think the Giffin Justice League or the Ostrander Heros for Hire). So the question is: Who would you put on the teams for Marvel and DC?
Thanks-

Hey Heroes-
For years I've been trying to duplicate Longshot's (from X-Men) "object reading" power. Basically, he picks up an object, "sees" its recent history, and then can psychically track the owner.
The most obvious way to do this is a combination of Mindscan and retrocognitive Clairsentience, with a limitation for needing a familiar object.
the problem is that the modifier for scanning the planet is massive and buying levels to offset the penalty makes the power a LOT more expensive than it needs to be (since you have to make the role at a +20 to know the target's exact location, which is really all I want).
Last time I built it, it was retrocog, descriminatory, tracking, but the active range was too small. So...
what are my options? Mega-scale detect with object modifiers (which is what I'm inclined to do)? Or something I'm missing.
Thanks-
