Hello.
I've got a character who creates walls of fire. Seems to me that this is a constant area effect blast, linked to change environment (because it's harder to see through fire), and with the "indirect" mod (source is character, path changes, +1/2), so that the wall can be turned in different directions.
Now, here's my question: when you have a constant, area effect blast and some poor soul happens to be in the area, how often does he receive damage? Every segment seems too often, and every phase seems too weird (slow guys get hurt more slowly?).
I thought about doing this as damage over time, but that seems too expensive for the effect. Damage over time seems more for poisons and the like, not for areas that are dangerous to enter for an extended period.
