  1. Re: FREELancer organization campaign roster

    Cool stuff!

I loved the F.R.E.E.Lancers book when it first came out, using Hero to run something along the same lines. Though it lasted a short time, it went over very well.

What time setting are you using? 1998 or further in the future? Are you using F.R.E.E.America as the setting?

Oh and how much damage a folded chair can do. Looks to me like a 8d6 HTH' date=' penetrating, +2 stun x, since an average wrestler can receive three kick to the face and not bleed, but a single chair shot will put down even the toughest of them.[/quote']

You do realize "Professional Wrestling" is worked, right?

Hopefully, there will never be rules listing chair shots or any maneuvers as 8d6 HTH, penetrating, +2 stun x.

It should be all about a character's abilities to act, his PS: wrestling, his reputation, physical abilities such as acrobatics and breakfall. Strength and dexterity come into play to pull off certain moves. There should be rules for working the crowd, to get pops as a face and heat as a heel.

While matches should be contests, they should never have a system to determine physical damage.

I, too, have both F.R.E.E.Lancers and F.R.E.E. America.

While I didn't use the slightly futuristic/dark setting. I did rip it for both ideas and pictures, using photocopies from the books for npcs.

The game was a low level affair with the pcs working as security for research and development think tank.

I'll also add that I have looked over your Regency website from time to time over the years (wanting to see more - hint, hint) and love the material but I doubt I'll be able to find anyone in my small group interested in playing.

Anytime, I mention something of a semi-historical nature, I see the whincing faces. Ah, well ... at least I can enjoy a good read and possibly read of others' campaigns.
