  1. I had a feeling it was the reach but I wasn't sure how to handle that properly. You explanation clears up the issue nicely, thank you.
  2. This is a really basic question. I recently started looking at the Fantasy Hero 6e rules, using the "Fantasy Hero Complete" rulebook with the eventual goal of running a campaign using the Fantasy Hero system. One of the most important thing to figure out is how to build weapons, armor, spells and so forth using the Power system. To do this I decided to deconstruct some of the example weapons in the book and figure out how to Active Points and Real Costs are calculated. However the math isn't working out, so clearly I am missing something. - Take this for example: Axe, Battle; +0 OCV; 2d6 HKA; +0 StunX; Str min 13; A/R Cost 46/16; Length M; 1 1/2H According to the book to calculate the Active Cost it is: ( Base + Adders ) x ( 1 + Advantages ) and the Real Cost is Active Cost / (1 + Limitations). So Base would be Killing Damage, 15 / D6 = 30 points for 2D6 Advantages then would be Reduced Endurance 0; +1/2 Already I run into problems since 30 x 1.5 = 45 not 46. So I thought maybe Adders = Advantages, 30.5 x 1.5 = 45.75 but that doesn't seem right, so I am already missing something. For now I'll assume that 45.75 rounds up to 46 and we're all good. Except... Limitations: Focus -1 (OAF) Real Weapon -1/4 Str Minimum -1/2 Requires Hands (1 1/2 H) -1/4 So Real Points = 46 / (1 + 2) = 15.333, which is clearly not 16. So my question then is, what am I missing? My guess is the reach of the weapon but after reading the text related to that, things get worse not better. Thanks for reading.
